It's amazing what that pilot did and a miracle they all survived. A fantastic job was done by the ferry men too. What a hero.
MKG, sympathies for OOD, Obsessive Obama Disorder. That's what they are calling it here, because, I'm telling you this nation is even more obsessed by your President than Americans are. He is one of us. They are all sooooooo proud. I hope they don't feel too let down in the future....
Dd sounds like she has bounced back pretty well SKY. Did she start eating again without any fuss?
I can honestly tell you MrsJB, I too could only walk one minute run one minute at the beginning and that was only last October! It doesn't take long to get into the running does it SOH/Chimpsky? Soon you too can be running 10k It takes me about an hour and 10, because there are so many bloody hills here. I try for an hour, but just can't do it yet.... I am aiming for a half marathon in a wildlife conservancy in a couple of months time, but I'm not convinced I can really manage 21ks!
Don't even get me started TYG on the bloody iphone saga. It was bought in Oz so that it could be unlocked (they have anti competition laws that prevent phones from being tied to a single network). The SIM wouldn't work here, the firmware download needed to unlock it wouldn't download because we are on an outdated 'broadband' connection, in the meantime I had bonded with it big time and was getting really excited, yes it is a 3G one. So it has gone back to Oz to be unlocked proper and will come back to dh via the colleague that bought it, when they meet in the States in April for a meeting So now I have to wait until then. To cheer myself up I may go and buy myself a new handbag
But the good news is that we have booked our flights to the UK for the summer for a month! We will go to Greece to visit my mum, then have rented a house in Somerset for 2 weeks at vast expense. So, let's get planning a meet-up.
The other good news is that I am officially allowed to start looking for a house or a plot of land to buy here. I may finally live in a place of my own after 10 years of living in other people's houses.
