Morning all.

Especially LG&T and India.

I will be requiring lengthy cuddles.

I shall be singing Hush Little Baby for the duration.

Well done TYG, 4.5 km too! I'm going to stick at it and take your word for it TMAM.

MmeJaffaB · 19/01/2009 22:07

Sorry hit post by mistake.

Abby well done on your lbs too, and good for dh, he obviously admires what you do and wants to be a part of it. Will be great that you'll share the same holidays.

Scoot..... missed you, you sound much much brighter. Are you really? Well done Mrscoot on passing your exams, hope things are on the up for you. You know how to work M, you've had enough practice with L.

Aerobics flare sounds right up my street, Am feeling very tired, just done my aerobics class followed by an hours dance.

AM, A is very please with his games, thanks again for saving the day. He is playing james bond now!

I also bought his a hi fi system, he was pleased with it, set it all up, tested his Ipod on it as it is compatible, then tried to test the cd and the fecking drive won't open. I'm sooo cross, France have stupid rules on returns too, they won't replace it, it will have to be sent to the manafacturer and we'll have to wait for an out come...... nice b'day pressie in the end then.

TheGreatScootini · 20/01/2009 10:58

I do feel a bit brighter Mrs JB..Dunno why as not much is different.Think the anti depressant prescription really shook me.I didnt take them (they are still in the cupboard downstairs) but I made a decision that I didnt want to be that person. Not sayig it will last as depression is tricksy like that, but for now am alright.

I am quite of all of your keep fit motivation.I am there in spirit.Aerobics is next week so we shall see. Will have to dig out old keep fit clothes-which no doubt wont fit

M wont nap in the day now either which makes it hell on earth at about 4pm-she is so tired that she is impossible. But night time is the worst as she wakes between 11 and 12 and will not countenance staying in her cot.I suppose we will have to get her a bed but the risk there is she wont stay in that either and then we will have her and Lily on the nights she is playing up running amok at bedtime. It will be untenable.Think we will wait until DH's final is done with before we get the bed..and just muddle through till then.

Big ups to Mr Abby. Will he keep the cleaning business too?I would LOVE a cleaner.Cleaning comes last on the list here too Abby.I dont like to spend the time I do get with the girls when not at work doing housework. But it does result in the house being a total hovel which I hate. Here is an extreme example..
We had left the Phil and Teds in the garage for a few months (we usually use a stroller and L walks or goes on the buggy board now)Over the weekend we were going to go on a long walk so we got the P and T out so L could get in when she got tired. It was covered in MOLD!Gross.I had to scrub it with a stiff brush and some Zoflora for about 2 hours..I dont think I will be winning any good housekeeping awards any time soon put it that way!

Am looking forward to the inaugauration coverage this aft.Have got L and M some craft stuff to do that they can get on with so I only need to have half an eye on them whilst I watch.I do hope he lives up to at least a fraction of the hype.If he does even half the good everyone thinks he will he will be doing well! (Also lets face it, he's something of a sort-not that im shallow or anything)

Hi all

You'll be glad to know I am still in my New Kids obsession, I've re-joined the fan club, and have reset my ringtones and everything. Apparently it's very easy to jump back in time 20 years!

Scoot - I know, I know, and GG starts tomorrow too, so set your Sky +. Glad you're feeling a little better. Alexa is having a bit of a transitional phase re naps too, she is not going down until around 2.30, which means that she's then not going to bed until around 9pm! It's a difficult one, I don't think she'd last all day without a nap. Some people have been recommending letting her have a 10 minute power nap, but I get the feeling she'd be so grumpy if I woke her after just 10 mins. What to do, what to do....

Mrs JB - well done on your running. As you know, I did my first mile this weekend (listening to New Kids, natch), and it was great, I really enjoyed it. The fact that I can't seem to shift the lbs, is another matter entirely. But AM and I have a plan for CP. I won't share it, because it's incredibly bitchy, and you'd think less of me.

Abby - great news about dh's course. My dh is always going on about how he wishes he'd joined the police, but the salary drop etc would just be an enormous sacrifice.

TYG - I believe you may be joining us at CP? Fab news. (Please try to ignore my arse and imagine me as a size 8).

L is a monkey too, keeps telling me how gorgeous she is, and at the moment she LOVES everything, e.g. 'I LOVE bread', 'I LOVE Primrose', 'I LOVE Peppa Pig'. Bless.

TheGreatScootini · 20/01/2009 12:56

oh my god.I TOTALLY forgot about GG!I am running out to buy Grazia as I feel certain there will be a feature about season 2 fashions!!God Bless you PJ for reminding me.

MKG · 20/01/2009 13:31

Hey everyone it seems that we're over the snot fest, but Mateo and I are still pretty gross, but I think it's just that time of year.

As for the new baby and being ready, I still wonder if I'm ready for the first one I had. But when March comes it's do or die time. I can't believe that it's down to like 7 weeks eeekk!!

Pinkjenny · 20/01/2009 13:36

I am like the voice of doom on the cosleeping threads. People come on and go, 'am I making a rod for my own back?', er yeah.

When did I become so cynical!

MKG - I can't believe it's only 7 weeks away!!!

AprilMeadow · 20/01/2009 13:39

Pink, it's a great plan!! Maybe we could do some sort of scoring chart.......

largeginandtonic · 20/01/2009 15:59

Hello all

Hope you are all ok, i have vaguely caught up. Scoot fabbo news on dh and his exams and you feeling a bit perkier. My AD stil lurk in the cupboard downstairs too. LOL at Mae replacing child from hellheaven This too shall pass...

Abby good to hear your dh plans are going well too

I am ignoring all running\exercise\weight loss talk for obvious reasons >

India is gorgeous, round but so sweet. She has me up quite alot in the night but tbh i don't mind too much as dh is doing everything in the house. I can mooch. Although today we decided to venture out. I have no idea why. We just went for lunch, Beau managed to soak through his entire outfit and dh jeans on arrival. The girl wanted feeding from the very sore, cracked and bleeding nipple, she pooed twice. The food took 2 hours to serve up. It was one of those why on earth did we go out moments.

You just get sick of the house though don't you? Same old air etc...

I fell fine down below for a change, the no stitches is fab! First time i have ever avoided them. I am however suffering from very sore cracked and bleeding nipples. I have never had them crack and bleed before no idea what i am doing differently. It makes me want to cry every time she feeds.

Hoping SOH and i will make a day visit at CP. We need to share space in their car as our is over filled now!

Pinkjenny · 20/01/2009 16:00

Please try and make it LG&T.

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 20/01/2009 16:03

Too much?

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 20/01/2009 16:03

Can you imagine what I was like when I was twelve?

JamInMyWellies · 20/01/2009 16:13

LG&T have you thoroughly checked for tongue tie even a slight tie can cause her not to latch correctly.

largeginandtonic · 20/01/2009 16:21

No have not looked for tongue tie, will when she wakes, ta Jam. It does hurt when they first latch on i remember the toe curling but the cracked and bleeding blisters are all new to me. I have Lasinoh on all the time, tis lovely. Not working miracles though.

JamInMyWellies · 20/01/2009 16:31

ooh lovey I was there a few wks ago, it will get better. x

charleymouse · 20/01/2009 16:52

Hello, very brief visit as got to fetch kids from nursery, I have some free day passes for CP.

I could send them to AM or PJ to hand in at reception each pass admits 2 adults so would save a bit of cash. I have also used them to admit friend & DH who have brought 3/4 kids and then just said they couldn't get babysitters sometimes they have paid and sometimes not.

LG&T/SOH if you need somewhere up north to crash my old slum house is 30 mins from CP and is vacant at the mo and would give me big incentive to get cleared out if you needed somewhere to crash overnight.

TMAM sorry about iphone asked DH but see you are getting sorted.

Scoot congrats to DH on exams, glad you are feeling better. How about a move back up this way?

Decluttering what is this decluttering you speak of?

Will check in later.

Love CM

Tillyscoutsmum · 20/01/2009 16:52

Oooh LG&T I remember the cracked/bleeding nipples. Cold used tea bags pressed on after used to help mine (honestly !!) Just don't answer the door with them on

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 20/01/2009 20:05

Tilly - Kelly Brook lasted long, eh? Our predictions were correct.

Tillyscoutsmum · 20/01/2009 20:38

Absolutely I wonder if she refused Simon's advances and he decided not to bother after all

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 21/01/2009 09:05

I like it when we call it. It was just glaringly obvious that he'd made a mistake.

charleymouse · 21/01/2009 11:24

Good morning all
Lovely bright day in Sheffield
Hope you are all well.

DH and I are having a big discussion this weekend on whether to add to our family or not. He is 60:40 No:Yes. I am 80:20 Yes:No. Think we both feel old and G is just getting fun and managable do we want to go back to baby stage. Actually I think I do just fear of problems due to B and my age are holding me back. Sis is 10 years younger than me and has learning difficulties so this concern always shadows my childbearing and I know she will be my dependent in the future. DH just feels old and is turning into a grumpy old man.

fourlittlefeet · 21/01/2009 11:35

hi all this is befnal bub in her new guise. just popping on to say congrats to LG&T with India

Hugo and I are doing well, very odd moving from a new born bottom to an 20 month old and back. My head is spinning!

Quick question for you bakers - I've got the in laws coming in 2 hours and want to make scones. Only have butter so can't do the nigella one... can anyone recommend a fail proof recipe (yes, I know THEY should be bringing them

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 21/01/2009 11:35

Charley - I think it's completely natural for both of you to have your doubts about another one, after all you have been through. Obviously it's hard for me to comment, as I only have one, but I don't feel like our family is complete yet, I really don't. I know that my mum regrets just having me, and I would hate to feel that kind of regret.

If it's any consolation, my friend's dh was not at all convinced about having another. For the whole of her pg, even right up to the end, he was wracked with doubt, and she was really worried. But now the baby is here, he's been great, and everything has just adjusted into place.

charleymouse · 21/01/2009 12:32

Hi BB FLF congratulations sorry no help with scones although have just eaten one.

That's it Mrs McIntyre. I just don't feel our family is complete but will I always feel like that as one is missing, don't worry if you don't have the answer 'cos I certainly don't.

Not sure what DH is more worried about having another one or me in 5 years time blaming him for not having another one.

Abby congrats on DH new course. of cleaner think the cut in interset rates and saving on the mortgage warrants me getting one. Will have to get it sorted, need all the help I can get.

charleymouse · 21/01/2009 12:35

Is anyone in Harlowe? Am driving down there with DH tomorrow to collect new car. Subject to inspection of course. Can bring buns if anyones about?

Logically thinks this may be impossible to achieve as have to get DC to nursery in morning, drive to Harlowe to collect car and drive back to Sheffield to pick DC up by 17:25.
