Morning all.

Especially LG&T and India.

I will be requiring lengthy cuddles.

I shall be singing Hush Little Baby for the duration.

NO ! Stay stay stay stay

Gwan - you know you wanna

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 21/01/2009 15:04

Stop it with the talk of flouncing, woman! And come up to Liverpool and let me educate you in all things pop. I have subjected my poor colleague to my NKOTB diatribe for two whole days now. Including an in-depth analysis as to why their new album is very clever.

Themasterandmargaritas · 21/01/2009 15:06

You have to stay because you didn't mention me in your last post. [needy emoticon, feeling left out emoticon, paranoid woman emoticon]

Besides you have been trying to flounce for oh, the last month. Stop it. Right now.

TMAM, how were the celebrations last night?

My aunt has severe learning difficulties and is deaf. She is cared for through a trust fund set up by the family. I'm the main trustee and know that one day her care could fall solely to me. I also know that any children I have are at a higher risk of abnormalities. My uncle had Down's Syndrome and two cousins have Spina Bifida. It does affect the decisions you have to make. Personally, I chose to avoid all antenatal screening apart from scans because I wouldn't terminate anyway but it's another complication isn't it?

Not having more anyway so it's not worth me even thinking about it. Had lunch with ILs and my parents on Sunday. Both mothers were wittering on about us having our 2nd. I felt quite ill.

No - don't go to Liverpool - you'll get your wheels nicked and she'll make you learn boy band dances

Come to Birmingham instead (and get your car vandalised instead). I won't make you listen to boy bands (you might have to watch reality tv though). We'll drink ginger beer and let dd's have a "who is the biggest tank" contest

NimChimpsky · 21/01/2009 15:09

I didn't leave you out. M is "helping" and pressed post for me.

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 21/01/2009 15:09

Tilly - don't come the innocent with me, lady. I know you know the dances as well.

NimChimpsky · 21/01/2009 15:10

I've been to Birmingham. DH was competing in some karate thing or other in a big sporty place with a shiny floor.

I'm a cycling widow atm TSM, guessing you are feeling the same pain. Do like the ginger beer option.

Not going to Liverpool. Good grief. I saw Brookside once.

OP posts:
MrsJoeMcIntyre · 21/01/2009 15:12

Nim - I'm just like them off Brookside. In fact, Mrs JB was concerned that she wouldn't understand me and had to buy a scouse dictionary in preparation for our first actual conversation.

Tillyscoutsmum · 21/01/2009 15:12

I'm definitely feeling the cycling widow pain. The Tour of Down Under (and no - unfortunately not a euphemism]. Blardy Lance Armstrong has a lot to answer for

MmeJaffaB · 21/01/2009 15:14

PMSL at boy band dances..... do you Joesbird, do you do them at home?

Nim you just HAVE to stay to give me my running star anyway, it will take me at least.................;Umm 6yrs? to get.

NimChimpsky · 21/01/2009 15:14

Yes, the Tour of Down Under, saw dh looking at it on the Internet and thought he was looking at fecking porn. I wish. Lance sodding Armstrong is on my bloody list. Not that one. The other one. Bastard.

I don't understand Scouse at all. I think you're like Jacqui out of Brookie. Blonde hair, girlie. My Mum used to watch it.

OP posts:
MrsJoeMcIntyre · 21/01/2009 15:17

Mrs JB - of course I do. I can't believe you even had to ask.

I'm not blonde Nim, soz. I am girlie though. Actually, you'll just have to get your bottom to CP and find out for yourself. If AM and Mrs JB (who are both posh) can understand me, then you can!

MmeJaffaB · 21/01/2009 15:17

I did, I had to take listening tips from AM before we spoke. You didn't say "alright luv" whilst swaying from side to side as much as I thought you would.

Nim, who did say? "I was going to go on mastermind but I can't sit on leather".

MmeJaffaB · 21/01/2009 15:20

Posh!

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 21/01/2009 15:20

You are posh!

MmeJaffaB · 21/01/2009 15:23

My mum wouldn't say NO to a squeeze of Lance, the TDF came practically past our door last year. Mum was out with her hankie on head, chair, cheese sandwich, bottle of fizzy orange and her route magazine on her knee.

NimChimpsky · 21/01/2009 15:23

I know you aren't blonde, I was explaining who Jacqui was.

Babs, dinnerladies.

OP posts:
MmeJaffaB · 21/01/2009 15:23

Where's AM? I need some back up here.

Tillyscoutsmum · 21/01/2009 15:25

Wasn't Jacqui also Gloria the barmaid on Corrie ?

NimChimpsky · 21/01/2009 15:26

for your mum

Really can't wait to meet the rest of you. So far only one of you is like I imagined.

OP posts:
MmeJaffaB · 21/01/2009 15:29

Ah, I even googled the line (in the desperate attempt to earn a star)

MmeJaffaB · 21/01/2009 15:29

Who?

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 21/01/2009 15:32

No Jacqui was played by Alexandra Fletcher. Sue Jenkins (Gloria) playes Jackie Corkhill, I think. My nan lives right by the Brookside set.

NimChimpsky · 21/01/2009 15:32

Jam.
