Whinfell have red squirrels darting around all over the place and a pheasant was sitting on our patio one morning....lovely stuff

HellHathNoFury · 21/01/2009 21:20

oh my goodness DKMA is thinking of coming

RIAchforthestars · 21/01/2009 21:20

bloody hell foxy, that makes my Tope Gear problem seem almost normal

daisy, I am being dim, but what does your new name mean?

It has taken me 2 fecking hours to get the children to sleep. And a phonecall from the chruch youth leader that led me to offering to help out

a giant is hammering wooden pens into my head.

and DS1, but way of fun has left me a maths test to do

RIAchforthestars · 21/01/2009 21:21

ahh, is it a Burns thing?

Butterfly what DC's do you have??

ToAMountainDAISYcal · 21/01/2009 21:35

Robert Burns wrote a poem called Ode To A Mountain Daisy. Have changed in honour of his birthday on Sunday and we'll be having cullen skink, followed by haggis, neeps and tatties and cranachan to finish. I might even get DH to dress up as Poosie Nancy

here Ria

HellHathNoFury · 21/01/2009 21:37

I am not getting them now...
confused

ToAMountainDAISYcal · 21/01/2009 21:37

When CP first took over Whinfell from Oasis, I got a really cheap deal through my credit card, and we were in one of the big detached lodges for a midweek break and it cost £135. Shared between 6 adults it was cheaper than a B&B!!

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 21/01/2009 21:38

daisy your name is very clever, sounds great. ive only had? one thing out of your menu (haggis) and that was fantastic i am very jealous.

RIAchforthestars · 21/01/2009 21:38

I have a book of Burns poetry, I think I bought it for DH when we visited Dumfries and Galloway. DH was meant to be doing Burns Night at work I believe (complete with piped and recited haggis). It is quite big round here.

HellHathNoFury · 21/01/2009 21:39

right I got the code to work for the weekend

Alas the codes are flaky, always best to book as soon as you get one

HellHathNoFury · 21/01/2009 21:41

Butterfly I would say try again tomorrow - I will have a look as well

I do know what you mean, tis a good thing that when DH was born they went from their village to the hospital in Harrogate rather than Leeds. Tis a fine line between North and West

must apply myself to this maths test and stop thinking about frozen curry...

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 21/01/2009 22:01

MMM FROZEN CURRY....
