hello

although I'm probably talking to myself.

OP posts:

me too, but it makes no difference to me being knackered so might as well have a bit of time on my own.
Think I might be making a pigs ear of this maths

lol my dad has three, we were always knocking them over cos he wouldnt put them away.

you can add your swollen arm to my now black arm
i look like a zombie!

RIAchforthestars · 21/01/2009 22:26

we have 2. could you wall-mount them butterfly?

when DS1 was small I used to spend this time whizzing round tidying my already tidy (because of only 1 child and DH worked away a fair bit of the time) house, or reading, or watching TV. In those days I sometimes got to watch TV at 8pm when there was actually something on. I DO love having 3 of them, but bedtimes like tonight just make me want to weep.

mm, I prefer books.

RIAchforthestars · 21/01/2009 23:00

wish I'd had that curry now

HellHathNoFury · 22/01/2009 08:22

DS has regressed.

I had stern words with the nursery last night. I think he needs to go back in the 2-3 year old room - he is bored and having a lot more tantrums/screaming fits etc than he used to. Plus he is regressing in other ways. Not v happy.

RIAchforthestars · 22/01/2009 08:45

hi fury. will they move him then?

DH needs toget a fecking grip.

got to get DS2 to school, back in a but.

HellHathNoFury · 22/01/2009 08:54

Hi Ria.

I expect so. He was in the 2-3 year old room before we moved, but when we moved house the new nursery wanted him in the 0-2 year room. Needless to say he is very bored and it is coming out in his behaviour.
I have about reached the end of my tether.

RIAchforthestars · 22/01/2009 09:38

Everything seems to be about ticking boxes rather than individual needs. Pah to the system.

HellHathNoFury · 22/01/2009 09:49

I hate the system. Honestly I am considering SAHM but we can't afford it!

RIAchforthestars · 22/01/2009 09:57

I so don't want to play today. I waited up til 1am for DH last night, thinking if his night at work had been that bad he would want to talk. I woke up at 2am to find out where he was and he had been to the hospital (again) who now can't give him anything for the pain. He claims he sent a text to tell me...
His day off has been cancelled today, so that means another day where the stuff he is sorting out won't get moved and put away. But I am not doing it for him.
And he has the meeting at DS1s school this afternoon.

I want to go back to bed and wake up somewhere else

ToAMountainDAISYcal · 22/01/2009 10:07

fury, can you get a testimonial from his old nursery to say that he was perfectly fine in the 2-3 room?

I have no option but be a SAHM as we can't afford full time childcare for two and wrap-around care for DS1. Well, we could, but it would amount to around £18K a year so I would be left with peanuts every week! I can work on the checkout in sainsbury's for more than that and I hate the idea of missing out on the DCs growing up just to pay someone else a wage, if that makes sense.

So, it's time rich and cash poor for us for a few years!

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2009 10:27

fuck - BP up again, swelling and protein in wee, so sister coming to have DD for the day, and I get to spend the day in hospital AGAIN!

What a PITA!

Morning all btw

Catch up later....

Can't believe they only have one 0-2 year room at your nursery Fury....we have 0-12m, 12-18m and 18-24m rooms then 2-3. So much more age appropriate. Seems very odd.

HellHathNoFury · 22/01/2009 10:32

norty that's what my old nursery had. as I have discovered, unfortunately, this seems rare in london as space it at a premium.
I went to view one nursery with 1 room 0-5!!

yesterday I called one - 1 room 18m-5...

so by comparison mine is not that bad... but oh my I wish I was back at my lovely old nursery. Things suck atm.

My old nursery provided the new one with a full record of his devolpment, includung testemonials to say that physically he was at 36 months, and other milestones were at 18m - 36m (so should be ok)

They are just shit and lazy, if I am honest

HellHathNoFury · 22/01/2009 10:35

Norty are you at risk of pre-eclamsia?

ToAMountainDAISYcal · 22/01/2009 10:40

oh, norty, I hope you are OK, but you might be meeting your baby sooner than you thought!

Take Care xx

Bumperslucious · 22/01/2009 10:47

Fingers crossed for you Norty!

Fury, that's rubbish. Sorry things are so shit for you atm.

I'm really nervous at looking at nurseries for DD today. I know, I know, PFB alert! I've just put her back to bed actually as she was crabby and rubbing her eyes!

ToAMountainDAISYcal · 22/01/2009 11:14

Maybe this will cheer you up Fury....and Natty Free money always does it for me
I always miss out on these things though; DS1 missed the CTF by four months!

ToAMountainDAISYcal · 22/01/2009 11:16

ria, sorry DH went awol last night, but I hope his shoulder is feeling better soon.

Good luck with the nurseries bumper. Try not to worry though; she is at an age where whe will get a lot out of the experience

Bumble is in a "don't put me down" mood today. I need to eat but can't leave him long enough to get something prepared.

RIAchforthestars · 22/01/2009 11:21

hope all is well norty, take it easy.

HellHathNoFury · 22/01/2009 11:37

Daisy I saw that!

After missing out on bloody thousands in benefits last time ('Doh' doesn't even come close) I am out for all I can get this time!
