RIAchforthestars · 19/01/2009 14:39

hello again.

Indeed happy birthday bumper, but I have a sneaking suspicion this is a fake birthday designed as a FB red herring? I may be wrong though so happy birthday anyway.

DH still waiting for the biopsy, I expect it will be in the new financial year now.
He isn't allowed to pain clinic because his consultant doen't want anyone else doing stuff until after the biopsy, apparentlt pain clinic wouldn't want him either (which could be just as well as it is one of dsis's areas of work!)

for your cat jammy. On the days where ours is obviously going downhill I wish for him that he could drift off peacefully, I don't want him to get ill, but some days (like when DH has a kebab) he's like his old self (so is DH for that matter

yay for the sleep daisy. am after my night with baggins and DS2. have just had a snooze now.

Ohforfoxsake · 19/01/2009 14:43

Ahh, you may be right Ria!

Poor DH, and poor you Its crap.

LittleMissNorty · 19/01/2009 14:45

Can't believe they are making him wait so long for a biopsy Ria .

Foxy.....what about Disney then? Was it good? DCs enjoy it? Any pics?

btw......T has put pics of the twins up on FB....they are gorgeous!

RIAchforthestars · 19/01/2009 14:56

the twins are gorgeous. I love babies...

dsis said because DH is not a new referral, normal waiting list targets do not apply. also the NHS trust funding the BUPA thing does not help (hence our suspicion about financial year). If it is just a bone infection he could have had the blimmin treatment and be almost pain-free now. ( sorry to go on, I am probably more annoyed because it's 2 weekends out of however few we'vw had this year that have been taken over by his bloody arm, but when my sciatica kicks in I get no sympathy/help at all. sometimes my cynical side takes over)

Baggins has just put a hat on and brought his coat, he is right - time to collect DS2. thank good ness the cold wet rain/snow has stopped.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 14:58

urgh, we have big sloppy wet snow going on just in time for the school run!

ria, I think you're right about bumper's birthday......she would have mentioned it yesterday otherwise!!

right, out into the elements go I!

OP posts:
RIAchforthestars · 19/01/2009 16:26

things that stop can start again... am cold and drenched

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 19/01/2009 17:26

I forgot to say earlier HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUMPER!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if we have found a solution Foxy - I neglected to say that this is about the 4th list I've written of things that need doing. And it's about twice as long as the last one. I know these things aren't important to him, but I get so drained (physically and emotionally) by seeing rubbish or jobs that need doing everywhere and I'm sure it's been a big contributor to my depression. And IMO if something is affecting my health then it should be important to him.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 19/01/2009 18:10

ria i am totally with you on DH's and pain problems, DH has been in "serious" amounts of pain for well over a year (maybe more im not sure) and they are farting about with his treatment, saying they dont want to take the kidney out cos the function is reasonable, yet it REALLY hurts him.
yet when ive had two days that ive been unable to use my arm (which the brusing is getting bigger still ) ive had no help, and hes been really reluctant when i have asked. MEN!

jammy i would def say my depression got ten times worse if the house was untidy, so its completly reasonable for you to expect your dh to give more of a sh*t, but cos its not important to him he thinks your making a big deal out of it.
have you sat him down when kids in bed and explained that when the house is broken and messy it makes you feel broken and messy in your head. thats how i explained it to my DH, and he did actually try to help then.

happy birthday bumper!

WB foxy glad you had a good time

hurrah for bumble! 8 hours woo!

i think thats it, gosh you been chatty today

couldnt go docs today cos DH kidney to bad to leave the house, or have the kids and it was too stressful to go with the kids.
i now feel sick, dizzy and off colour, brusing getting bigger.. i think maybe the hole isnt healing, or im reopening it by lifting kids/doing housework/etc etc

on a good note, toms seems to have potty trained himself this evening.
ive run out of disposables, and he wont wear ellens cloth ones. so he has been using the potty and no accidents yet, i think he was being stubborn.

FrazzledFairyFay · 19/01/2009 19:05

Hi everyone, sorry i haven't been around much lately.

Woohoo for Bumble sleeping

Foxy, glad you had a good time

crap about Ria's and Natty's DH's continuing pain

Norty, hang in there.....

Jammy, the facial

Everyone else, hello - hope I haven't missed any other big news, I have been skimming and lurking

FrazzledFairyFay · 19/01/2009 19:05

and if anyone else wants to respond to my facebook msg, you have until weds.....

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 19/01/2009 19:16

We've been to the vet and they think it might be kidney or thyroid. SO they've taken some bloods and we should get some results on Weds. In the meantime she's had some vitamin injections which should stimulate her appetite apparently. And according to the chart on the vet's wall she is borderline between "senior" and "geriatric" (we're not sure how old she is). And in case anyone is worried, I am referring to my cat, not Jamlet

RIAchforthestars · 19/01/2009 19:22

am glad the vet can do tests jammy. fingers crossed for the results. My cat suffers from depression and anxiety (must be something in our water pipes!) we took him with an eye infection once, and apparently that is why he got the eye infection. poor baby.

natty, can you go to the nearest A&E tonight? it really sounds like you need seeing.

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 19/01/2009 19:35

I saw a poster advertising this at the vets. Who'd have thunk it eh? Still if it turns out there's nothing physically wrong then I might be tempted to try some.

FrazzledFairyFay · 19/01/2009 19:36

Sorry Natty, I can't believe I forgot that - it definitely sounds to me like you should get your arm looked at. That does not sound like normal bruising.

Jammy, hope your cat gets better soon

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 19/01/2009 19:47

no cant go to a&e DH is in too much pain apparently.
nearest hospital is 2 bus rides away anyway, dont fancy the trip alone just in case i do pass out.
Dh is under strict instructions to call out of hours docs if i get to bad, or ambulance if i pass out.
im hoping its just super tiredness plus my anemia, and the bleeding has made me feel rough on top. may be coming down with something as well, the groggyness could be a head cold.
been getting bad headaches today as well, so maybe is a bug.

im so sick of being ill this winter, there are SO many bugs floating about its ridiculous.

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 19/01/2009 19:59

Just make sure that your DH does the right thing if you do get too poorly Natty. Your arm sounds horrid (well I'm sure your arm is perfectly lovely but the bleeding sounds horrid) and I think you should try to rest it (yeah, right, easier said than done I know) if you can.

BumpermightsuetheSindie · 19/01/2009 20:26

Hello all

Thanks for the birthday wishes but Ria was right, it's not really my birthday! I think we had this conversation last year in which I told you you will know when it's my birthday coming up! (tis March btw).

Natty hope you feel better soon.

Foxy hope disney was fab and that you are all well.

Just popping in. Had a long day, we went on a school work trip to Bletchley Park which was really cool surprisingly. A good 2.5 hour drive though!

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 19/01/2009 20:29

Bletchley is cool. We went a few years back, as a birthday present for DH.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 19/01/2009 20:43

im going to bed ladies, just letting u know in case you worry bout me

night x

LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 20:47

was bletchley park where they solved the enigma code?

Natty, you should get that arm seen to for sure.

Poor cat jammy, I hope it's something that's easily resolved, but I'm about the cat calming concoction.

I'm watching masterchef....wtf is luggie luggie?

Hey Fairy. How's the house coming on; are you all settled in now?

OP posts:
FrazzledFairyFay · 19/01/2009 20:49

Hi Daisy. We are settled in the house. Just some 'miscellaneous' boxes to unpack now. I really need to get outr and about though as I'm tending to hibernate. I really need to meet some other Mums.

I was wondering about Luggie Luggie as well

LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 20:51

We still have some of those miscellaneous boxes in the attic and garage from four years ago . I'm tempted to just chuck them out unopened on the premise that I haven't needed it up till now?????

OP posts:
Sputnik · 19/01/2009 20:52

It was, Daisy.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 20:55

can you believe I just had to look back at my last post to find out what I had asked that illicited your response sputnik. My brain is completely addled
