RIAchforthestars · 18/01/2009 22:32

sorry natty, SW = slimming world!

LackaDAISYcal · 18/01/2009 22:49

norty, have FB'd you .

I was the same with the spinal for DD's section. with DS1's section and DS2s forceps I was beyond caring and just wanted the pain to be gone, but with DD I was really nervous about it. I would advise lots of bach rescue remedy and do that thing where you pinch the soft skin between thumb and forefinger. And try to relax and chat to the theatre nurses as a distraction; it's over with pretty quickly

I hope DH is OK ria and that your spots are just a viral thing. Do you think it's what Baggins has had? How is he now by the way?

natty, one of the side effects of coeliac disease is that you don't process iron properly. Might be worth you asking for a blood test as until I was in my 30s I never had any other obvious symptoms.

Bumble has been asleep in his chair most of the evening . He woke at ten, had a good long feed and went straight back to sleep again... we may have turned a corner

STILL no news about DH's Kidney stuff. i think we need to pool our savings and go private, i just cant bare to see him in to mch pain all the time.

felt first proper prod a few mins ago from bump.. been feelin flutters and ignoring them thinking i had gas
14 weeks is a bit early to be feeling movement isnt it?

LackaDAISYcal · 18/01/2009 22:59

yes, gluten.

I felt DD at 14 weeks, so not too early at all.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 18/01/2009 23:00

ah goody, was thinking i was going mad.
will get onto to doc about that, can they test in pregnancy do you know? its a simple blood test isnt it?

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 18/01/2009 23:04

jst had a thought, when i went in for a scan following my mmc to check all was clear, the sonographer mentioned it looked like i had endemtriosis (sp?)
i also suffer from extremley heavy periods.
maybe this is the cause?
the endemtriosis is undiagnosed atm, as got preg straight after so couldnt be looked into.

LackaDAISYcal · 18/01/2009 23:12

no experience of endometriosis natty, so not sure. def get that checked out afterwards.

I hope DH gets something resolved soon.

Right, am off to finish watching Keeping Mum on film four.

Night Natty

LittleMissNorty · 19/01/2009 08:27

Ahhhh just seen a pic of the twins.....made me go all gooey

I'm knackered this morning....went to bed at nearly 11....up at 12, 1.30 and 2.30 for indigestion, 3.30 for the dog, 4.45 and then 6.30 for DD.....getting in practice for the sleep deprivation I think

Thanks Daisy....will do it today when I'm awake

RIAchforthestars · 19/01/2009 09:10

morning! wet here, cold wetness too. yuk.

DH didn't get back from hospital til after midnight. he is dizzy and unable to do much at home, but he is still going to work

patience wearing thin today just want a bloody normal life

Ohforfoxsake · 19/01/2009 09:17

Hello, I'm back

Had a great time, I the children loved it

Off to catch up x

LittleMissNorty · 19/01/2009 09:32

Were they able to do something for him Ria? Must be bloody difficult working in pain like that? Will it improve?

Glad you had a great time Foxy ...hope you got some pics for FB?

RIAchforthestars · 19/01/2009 10:01

hi foxy, glad you had a good time.

norty, I think they gave him a local anaesthetic, for 12 hours pain relief. I am worried about him not resting it though, he is too conscientious, he has done loads of extra hours at work too, you would think they could guve a but back. apparently there is a letter from his consultant to say no steroid injections until after the biopsy has found what's wrong. oops, hopefully this bout of pain is nothing to do with the last injection. he isn't allowed tp refer to pain clinic either

LittleMissNorty · 19/01/2009 10:26

Why can't he be referred to a pain clinic? Has the biopsy been done? Rest vs using it is always a difficult balance to get right.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/01/2009 10:32

cover your eyes Norty.....

Bumble fed at 10 last night, went straight back to sleep and slept until....

six thirty am

Go bumble, go bumble, go bumble...whooo

sorry to hear DH is still bad ria? Why isn't he allowed the pain clinic? And how are you this morning?

Glad you had a good time Foxy. We're going to take our lot when the baby is old enough to appreciate it.

Sputnik · 19/01/2009 11:13

Well done Bumble!

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 19/01/2009 13:53

Yay for Bumble!
Yay for Foxy having a good time!
Boo for Ria's DH being in pain!

Had a frantic morning here. Found out that I'm presenting a poster at a conference in 2 weeks time. Hadn't written anything for the poster at 9am this mornign when I found out. Have cobbled something together so hopefully it can be printed up in time. But this is a really tight timescale I'm working to so has been stressy, though I feel better now 1st draft has been done.
Also been worrying about getting our cat to the vets, but have an appointment now for 5.50 tonight. OK, that's my ultra-quick lunch over (hard work is good for the diet at least ). Catch you later!

Sputnik · 19/01/2009 14:04

Oops, forgot to say happy birthday Bumper, hope you have a good one!

Ohforfoxsake · 19/01/2009 14:11

Blimey, lots to catch up on!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUMPER!

Natty - I had DS1 at Kings, when it came to DS2 I booked in at Kings and at St Georges (my local hospital) for a HB as I was out of their catchment too. I moved when I was about 5 months PG. It was fine having 2 hospitals, there was no problem. Until I was in labour when I phoned Kings to tell them I was coming in and they told me to go to my local hospital, they were packed and if I went there I'd end up giving birth in the waiting room So do check out your nearest hospital and see what they can offer you. Also have another word with a different MW. You most certainly can request another MW.

Bloody marvellous about the sleep Daisy! You deserve a new bag for that - Daisy, Daisy Bag Lady - love it!
Jammy - I have had to accept that the things which are important to me aren't as important to DP, so if I want something done I just have to get on with it or accept he'll do it in his time (i.e. never). I sympathise with you, I really do and I do everything. Infact, I'd rather he didn't even bother as now I know it will get done and properly, when I want it done. Certainly for us it was a losing battle, but your DH and you do seem to have found a solution so .

Oh Ria, I hope things get better. Keep positive

Norty, don't go into labour!
