I'll email you vbab; I've got two gracos! I had asked for a raincover as there wasn't one included and they sent me another buggy!!! And they don't want them back! If you want it I can bring it tomorrow

Hi y'all...

londonboots, sorry I never posted. wrote a long post and then (new) laptop deleted the whole lot. then was busy. then forgot! sorry. will do so now, but sounds like you have loadsa info.

barbs, hang in there mate. i've got a fab book to lend you called '60 minute mother' (you're supposed to be able to read it in 60 mins). it's really funny and just puts loads into perspective...basically it doesn't tell you what to do, but offers loads of sympathy. And says us poor mums are under so much pressure from so many different parenting 'gurus' we end up feeling very guilty all the time (something our parents didn't really have to go through).

Northern Lasses. Have a great time tomorrow. Am . Daisy, I have achieved nothing too, although did manage to clear up the big poo ds1 did all over the living room carpet! And the wee he did on the stairs....

ToAMountainDAISYcal · 22/01/2009 19:13

durr vbab, I got you and dozy mixed up there, and wasn't just blanking your first mention of the buggy . I've just had a fb message back from Dozy telling me I had the wrong person!!!!

I'm emailing you now

PinkFurryStripeyTiger · 22/01/2009 20:09

Merry I was thinking- have you tried the motherease toddler pants? They worked really well for DS and are very good at holding in accidents (especially poos, which is a godsend)I would send you mine but we are starting DD1 so will hopefully need them soon, but I would recommend them.

MerryMarigold · 22/01/2009 21:04

Thanks pink. The poo on the floor was actually 'progress' as ds1 was on his own in the living room took his pants off, but didn't make to the potty in time. At least the trousers and pants stayed clean. The wee was annoying though!! I'm hoping it won't be much longer [hopeful face], but I will look the motherease up on internet now - after all, got another 2 train in a couple of years [sigh].

A is doing a limpit/screaming impression tonight which is very out of character. We even considered giving her bongel as not sure if she is teething . But bongel not until 4 months so calpol it is! She is currently in her moses basket, in her cotbed in her nursery was a winnie the pooh dreamshow in an attempt to detach her. PHEW that took some typing.

PinkFurryStripeyTiger · 22/01/2009 21:11

Bless. DD1 isn't quite ready yet, but keeps asking to go on the toilet, unfortunately it's always after she's had a poo. But I'm going to put her on the toilet after tea, as that's a fairly regular time for her.

Yorky · 22/01/2009 21:13

DH is out at a Burns' night supper in the mess, I am babysitting
I like Burns' night, although can honestly say I have never read any of his work - maybe daisy could do us a reading tomorrow - bring culture to the Trafford centre!
Last year I cooked Haggis neeps and tatties at home as we didn't go to Burns' then either as had just moved house and didn't know anyone to babysit (deja vue)

Merry - well done DS1 DS escaped while I was folding his new nappy (my own fault for not being organised!) managed to climb into the playpen where DD was supposed to be playing under her babygym safe from DS, and weed on her cushiony mat thing

Last night was grim, I'm off to bed

PinkFurryStripeyTiger · 22/01/2009 21:14

sorry x-posts there vbab.n Imi has been a bit unsettled today, too. I wonder if we are due another growth spurt?

I'm still feeling quite rubbish. I would swear I have mastitis from the symptoms, except for the fact that I have no problems with my boobs (aside from their ridiculous size . I must have flu, again. I never get flu- what's the matter with me??

ToAMountainDAISYcal · 22/01/2009 21:17

bumble was unsettled earlier but is snoozing happily in his chair. He had a real colicky moment earlier....

you know you have a colicky baby when they start to cry and you turn the TV volume up before you pick them up

ToAMountainDAISYcal · 22/01/2009 21:19

i hope you're feeling better after a night's sleep pinky. there are so many bugs going around at the minute.

I have been up since 5.30, so I'm heading off to bed now. DH has some ebm for bumble when he wakes up next.

PinkFurryStripeyTiger · 22/01/2009 21:20

lol

Have you guys read the guinea pig thread. Tis v funny!

PinkFurryStripeyTiger · 22/01/2009 21:22

oops x-posts. Thanks. Hope you get some good sleep, too. See you tomorrow!

Dozymare · 22/01/2009 21:26

evening all - there must be something in the water, as Tiger is also unsettled today. This is very rare for her, and I was going to ask you all could it be a growth spurt?

I also think she may be teething (which I am very shocked at, as both DS's were very late with teeth) but she has been dribbling and fists in mouth all day with rosy red cheeks?????

Have fun on your meet up tomorrow - let's organise another London one soon!
