No teeth grinding this end Febes!

DD accidentally ate a piece of chicken tonight that was cunningly hidden under her mash. She actually really whinged about quite pathetically lol. Still, she obviously didn't hate it that much because she didn't spit it out but just stuck her dummy in instead. DD ATE MEAT! HOORAY!! After that tho there was only a couple more spoonfuls of mash before she wouldn't eat any more, probably in fear of eating more chicken, God forbid!

Febes · 12/08/2009 21:05

LOL RG!!! Does she like casseroles?? can you make chicken with vege and then whizz it up??

RGPargy · 12/08/2009 22:01

She's being really fussy with her food atm Febes. Tonight was a casserole type thing with mash. Not sure how i would whizz up a casserole without it looking like an unappetising puree, unless that's the idea?

Hellllooooo!

Just back from a week with my parents, both relaxing and knackering - no cooking and cleaning but my parents have so much stuff for Adam to break! Actually he was quite good during the day but quickly clicked onto the fact that he was in a cot at the end of our bed and it was just a short hop, skip and jump into bed with us!

Some idiot managed to waltz off with my suitcase, it ended up in Ireland and I still haven't got it back yet . Had to go and buy a load of toiletries and makeup yesterday as I was at the races.

Adam is very cute at the mo and some of his facial expressions are just fab - he is such a drama queen! On the other hand he is having the odd paddy when he can't get his own way. He is also very democratic with his kisses and likes to make sure everyone has one. Some of your LOs have very good speech! Adam is only just starting to string words together.

Adam won't eat meat apart from sausages (and he actually prefers crappy sausages to the 97% meat ones!). He now has added cous cous to the list of things he likes but it gets very very messy. I am trying to train him to say "grandma, is this humous organic?" in order to wind the MIL up. No joy so far.

RGPargy · 16/08/2009 21:43

Hi Greedy Hope you've recovered from your week away! Have you been reunited with your suitcase yet? How annoying!!

Ellie also makes sure everyone gets a kiss too. It's lovely isn't it!

Lol @ the couscous.

Greedygirl · 17/08/2009 11:10

HI RG! Quiet on here isn't it? Yes got my suitcase back on Friday ta, shame it is full of my horrible old clothes!

RGPargy · 20/08/2009 14:03

It's very quiet on here!! Where is everyone? Hopefully it'll be more active on here when those pesky kids have gone back to school..... ;)

Febes · 21/08/2009 22:52

I'm still here but busy enjoying the summer. Its fun with a toddler isn't it!!

RGPargy · 21/08/2009 22:57

What are you doing in this heat that makes it "fun"?!!

Febes · 21/08/2009 22:58

Picnic, paddling pools, farms... I'm enjoying not working.

RGPargy · 21/08/2009 23:01

Bah! Too hot for that stuff for me!! When it cools down a bit i'll be out there with the rest of the "proper" mums lol.

littleoldme · 23/08/2009 22:38

Hi all - sounds like most of us are having fun in the sunshine. We've just got back from FILs 70th birthday weekend which was suprisingly good fun.

Greedy - Glad you had a good trip and that you've been reunited with your suitcase.

T seems a tad under the weather at the mo - he's been off his food and had a dodgy tum for about a week now. He's had a high temp too. Am wondering if it might be teething.

He's taken to throwing all of his teddies out of the cot. When I ask him what happened he says , " Teddy climbed out" If pressed further he asks for a cuddle... going to have watch that one!

Hello LOM

Sounds like teething to me. Maybe he's got a biggie coming through or possibly a canine? Apparently the canines are buggers for getting through! DD hasn't got any yet and i'm not looking forward to her getting those in a hurry!

Bless T for throwing his teddies out and proclaiming they did it of their own accord. Sneaky!

Febes · 24/08/2009 13:21

Anabels canine are coming through at the moment and she has been in a bit for pain with them. Only 4 more teeth to come I think but Rueben is now showing signs of starting to teeth so it all starts again for me...

Greedygirl · 24/08/2009 20:57

Hi guys, just bookmarking. No more teeth here. LOL re the teddies - did they jump or were they pushed?!

jetgirl · 26/08/2009 09:13

It's so good to be back, our computer has been broken for nearly a month and I've been unable to MN. Going to catch up on the thread now

littleoldme · 26/08/2009 14:51

Doc says T has a 'virus' he's still not right bless him. He woke up this morning with , " ear hurts Mummy" It made me well up.

Best go he's yelling.

LOM hope DS feels better soon.

RGPargy · 26/08/2009 21:41

Welcome back Jetgirl

LOM - poor T. Hope he feels better very soon.

littleoldme · 27/08/2009 20:41

Thanks everyone - all much better today. Last night I noticed 2 molars have just broken through. His gums were all bloody and sore. Poor lamb no wonder he's beeen feeling bad. I had no idea teething could make them so ill.

Best go - we're off to visit some wonderful friends in London this weekend. I promised them Btownies so I'd better go and make them. Hope everyone enjoys the bank holiday.

Poor little man!! DD has broken out in a cold this morning and had a humungous pooey nappy this morning too. I think we have more teeth on the way!!

jetgirl · 01/09/2009 17:05

I have another teether here too! William has not been a happy bunny, produced horrible nappies and has a canine coming through at the top.

We've had a strange month. Hannah was a bridesmaid at my cousin's wedding at the beginning of August. She looked gorgeous though refused to be in any of the official photos!

Then my grandad died a few days later which was awful. He had been ill for a while, so it wasn't unexpected, but still a shock. We had to finish our week in Center parcs a day early to go to the funeral. My sister had written a piece for the service since she couldn't come back from Australia, which I said I would read and it was the hardest thing I've ever done. I burst into tears after the first sentence and had to try very hard to compose myself and finish it. If it hadn't been my Dad taking the service and standing next to me I don't think I could have done it.

DD was 4 last week and starts school this month, which is scary!

Must go, William is having a grump!
