I'm ready to go now but we need to sell our house first and to do that we need to finish our house which still needs loads of work and as I am off work now and DH is working lots I don't see a great deal of time in which to DIY. Hopefully in the next 2 years

Hi everyone

Nothing to report here at all i'm afraid! I'm glad to be out of that heat tho - i'm sitting in my air con office and two of the girls have just come back in from being outside and have said it is SWELTERING out there. I'm taking the safe option and staying put! ;)

Hurry up autumn!! My main bugbear in this weather is not being able to babywear without ending up with a huuuge wet patch on my back from where DD and I have both sweated. Yuk!!

Have a nice day everyone!

awww bless!! Happy birthday DD2!!!!

littleoldme · 03/07/2009 12:26

Greedy - hope you and your DH have had abetter timethis week . Poor lamb; a Jazz night is bad enough if you know what you are letting your self in for, but when it's by mistake ...

Rg - It's old and wet here today , hope you are feeling better cooler too.

Re - camping . Dh and I lived in our tent for 9 months and it wasn't very big. We got back from our trip four years ago and I've only been camping once since!

Although I could be persuaded to go to a place where it is all set up for you.

Loopy - happy birthday to DD3

I'm quite sad that the hot spell has stopped. We were having lovely afternoons in the garden. Although yesterday I did learn that disposable swin nappies do not contain as well as they advertise.

Thanks Loopy - I'll try that.

I hope your picnic goes well . I heard that every bear that ever there was will be there - so you should be in for a big suprise.

Why am I not downstairs marking papers ?

I have had a couple of gem - one kid who told me that although he couldn't punctuate he could, "Rule nations with a microphone" There is a question that asks the to describe a journey which has prompted some moving stories of refugees fleeing their homes and coming to Britain from Afghanistan and various other war torn places. I'd love to show them to the Daily Mail.

Must go and get on X

Hi all. Having an ok day so far today. Anabel is asleep which is great as she is fighting her day time nap a bit at the moment.

Is anyone moving there DCs into a bed anytime soon? Any tips? I don't know if I will move her into a bed soon but I will need to think of something as Rueben is nearly filling up the moses basket so I might need to borrow a cot off someone for a few months or maybe put him in a bed with a safety sleep or move Anabel into a bed. Hopefully I have another month at least.

I have read the thread about that article but not read the article yet. Might go and do that now.
I want A and R to share bedroom once R is sleeping through do you think that will work??

Febes · 06/07/2009 20:53

Crikey! Just read the article. I can understand where she is coming from. I have the same memory when Anabel and DH first visited me in hospital and she looked different to me. So grown up and big. I have had to make a real effort to spend time doing fun things with her. She really behaves better when I do and she treats Rueben better when she is happy so we are all happy. I have found this time I have had a few moments of feeling down that I didn't really have with Anabel. I think because DH is working so much this is his busiest time of the year so I have had to go it alone much more. Also Rueben is still feeding loads at least every 3 hours sometimes more so I'm up and down 3 or more times in the night. But life is good and I love my babies so much. Today was a great day and they are both asleep now so maybe it will start getting easier .

Hello!!

Nothing to report here, so just bookmarking really!

Oh, btw, does anyone else's LOs have heatrash in their hair?!! DD has developed this little pin prick rash that runs from behind her ear and into her hair, but seems to be only on the side that she sleeps on. The chemist seems to think it is prickly heat. Anyone else got any experience of it?

Have a good weekend everyone!

littleoldme · 10/07/2009 20:14

Spotted arash in T's hair too. He's been scratching it lots.

I've got hideous throat infection. The Doc has given some Diclofenac - I feel very spaced out. It still hurts like hell - I just don't care. Ho hum.

Hi haven't been on here for ages. I had Rueben weighed today. He's 8 weeks and 12lbs 11oz which is what Anabel was at 5 months . He's 75th percentile for weight, height and head circ. so at least in proportion. No wonder I'm knackered!!
