Loopy - glad it's not so bad. MN is such a time eater isn't it lol. Sorry but your description of labour inducing sex had me sniggering into the laptop enough for DP to be asking questions "Oh just something on MN" was all the reply i could give him.

Jet - we're only in Soton from about 5pm on the Sunday til the next morning. We're purely there for our friend's club night, plus i hate being away from DD so will be shooting back to Medway first thing in the morning (hangovers permitting!).

LOM - What a cracking picture!

jetgirl · 15/05/2009 09:21

febes - the raspberry leaf didn't work for me with DD - I bled loads during labour and it lasted forever (I have read since that raspberry leaf can have that effect which is why I didn't bother with it second time around) William was earlier - only 9 days late instead of 11, and the labour was much better. Go with Loopy's other suggestion instead, probably more fun

RG - it is horrible being away from the LOs isn't it? I hope you enjoy Southampton

Our friend who was in labour when I last posted had a little boy, well I say little, he was 9lbs 13oz!!! seen a pic and he's gorgeous.

jetgirl · 15/05/2009 09:23

Brilliant pic LOM , made me realise mine are a little out of date, must rectify that.

Nice buggy!!!!

LittleMissBliss · 15/05/2009 13:06

Febes sending you labour vibes!

Jetgirl That sounds like a plan! Hopefully when the sunshine comes out again, Bournemouth is lovely! We could maybe take the LOs to see the fishes at the aquarium? Or just a stroll along the beach?

Loopy nice pushchair. Not sure whether to get a double buggy or just a buggy bored.. ds will be 23 months when the new baby is born. So could do a few months of sling with new baby and ds still in pushchair the LO can have ds's pushchair and he can hop on the back... would that work... or should i get a double?

Its such a horrible day here and ds is restless I'm exhausted so can't face going out. We went to monkey business (soft play)
for 3 1/2 hours yesterday!. My body is not used to all the climbing and running arround, poor bump on the slides! Now thinking they weren't the best idea oh
well.

Hope you are all having a good day.

Febes · 15/05/2009 13:33

LMB I got a P & T as 18 months between DD and LO so needed a double. V expensive but so love it already. I was also wondering if I could get away with sling and buggy or buggy board. I'm glad I got the double though as I want another in a few years again so should get good use out of it. Its really lightweight and slim lined. I also have been bidding on a kari me sling as I think it will be helpful to have hands free option with LO on me. That is if the darn thing is ever born!! I am now more pregnant than I was with DD as I had her in the early hours of 40+7 and I am now well into 40+7 and no show or waters gone yet. I have had some niggles but feel like it could go on a few days yet.

LMB - the aquarium sounds nice, I know my 2 would love it. I got a double buggy when William was born, DD was 27 months at the time and there was no way she could have stood on a board for too long without getting tired. I got a buggy board when DD was just about 3 yo. I tried buggy and front carrier but just found it difficult when doing the grocery shopping.

Febes - I totally sympathise, I hated the waiting with both of mine. Maybe book yourself a pedicure, you're bound to have to cancel it!

Loopy - pramaholicalism is dangerous isn't it?! My single is getting a bit battered now and I'm looking out for a new one, not that it's really necessary, I just feel the current one is past its best

RGPargy · 15/05/2009 16:27

Loopy - oooooo nice buggy!

Jet - congrats to your friend!

Febes - still sending out those good (quick!) labour vibes!

Febes · 15/05/2009 16:40

I must say I haven't minded being late this time as I have felt amazingly well this pregnancy especially 2nd and 3rd trimester and I only finished work at 39 weeks so I have loved having this time with Anabel. We have been swimming and to new toddler groups, we even made play dough so its been awesome to have this time. My mum arrives from NZ tomorrow lunch time so I'm happy to wait until she is here as we won't have any child care problem then and she will help loads.

littleoldme · 15/05/2009 19:33

LMB - If you do want a double buggy let me know. One of my mates did some testing for a mag and is now selling them.

Febes - glad to hear you are well. Hope you can keep your legs crossed until your mum arrives.

Loopy - The pram looks fab and what a bargain !

RG for you that Dh can't be persuaded. Enjoy your clubbing night.

Well I've officially finished work now. I felt no regret at all. The childminer was another thig ! We were all in tears when I picked T up for the last time - I'm really going to miss them.

T is gorgeous but being a real tinker at the mo. He managed to turn a cooker hob on today AND press the ingnition button ! I'm not quite sure how to manage it TBH. He stood in the middle of kitchn today with his chest puffed out, pointed to himself and said "Tom" it's hard to stay cross for long.

I was sad to leave my childminder too. She is a complete doll. Luckily I see her at toddler group every week and Anabel goes to her when we are there as thats what she is used to so it gives me loads of gossip and tea time .
She came round to see us yesterday with her other mindee who is nearly 3 and her and Anabel were so pleased to see each other they ran around the garden giggling and having so much fun. .

LOM* Still umming and aaahing about a double... which one did she like the best out of curiosity? I don't really want to get a double travel system if i can help it. Just a buggy. Tandem if possible, Because the side by sides seem like like a right pain!

Coby does a manner of naughty stuff. yesterday i found that he had taken all his clothes out of his cupboards and was sitting in the top cupboard . Luckily its not high....I was mumsnetting at the time.
He had a habit of turning the grill on (door closed) and i didn't notice until i smelt smoke. So we now have to turn the oven off at the wall when we are not using it. He can open doors now which is such a pain. Oh and makes a dash for the toilet at every opportunity and tries to shove his hand down.... boys eh!

Jet-My free days are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Not sure what the weathers going to be like this week but if it's nice we can make plans- My e-mail address is [email protected] (I've had it since i was around 13, when it was cute but now sounds like an escorts e-mail address, really must get a new one). Don't think we should risk the following week as it's half term and Bournemouth will be hectic!

Thank you all for the pram advice. I really should probably just get a new one. I suppose I would like a new one. I've got a quinny buzz travel system which is still worth a fair bit so might sell that and put the cash towards something else but it has to be a lovely bright colour!

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend! Britain's got talent is the high light of my Saturdays....

littleoldme · 17/05/2009 18:49

LMB - I'm not sure what she liked best I'll e mail you her details so you can chat.

Glad to see isn't the only tinker !

Hi Loopy - I'm here. I've been a bit quiet of late as I'm doing some rush exam marking for school which is taking every spare sec.

Doesn't sound like you are getting much sleep. Oh bum T's just woken up. catch up later.
