Looks like everyone's been enjoying the weather! It's really grim here today though, at least i don't have to entertain the kids as they're at nursery and I'm going out to lunch with friends - yay!

Last Friday went really well and I have upped my cool rating with the kids at school as I was greeted by Will with a hug and a kiss!! He hadn't changed since school days, apart from being fantastically wealthy, and a few of us from our year group had a really nice time reminiscing and catching up.

LOM - my lot get one course then can have a choice of delicious puddings - yogurts or fruit DD and I made chocolate cake on Sunday (I have eaten most of it )

Crickey its been quiet on here. We have had a pretty boring weekend as the weather has been rubbish and DH had worked most of it. Anabel has been teething so quite grumpy but she has been sleeping well yesterday she woke at 9.15am and today it was 8.45 so an Easter treat for me!! I have a naughty confession. I ate her Easter egg

RGPargy · 12/04/2009 23:33

Hi Febes OUr weekend has been rubbish too as DP seems to have gone down with DD's bug that she had at the beginning of the week so he spent most of the early hours of Saturday morning being sick. yuk!

Dont feel guilty for eating Anabel's egg - she wont notice! I didn't even buy Ellie one. I personally think she's a bit young for one anyway really.

Febes · 13/04/2009 09:02

I didn't buy Anabel one either her child minder gave it to her .

littleoldme · 13/04/2009 18:24

Very quiet on here at the mo. I guess we must all be out enjoying the sunshine.

Well we've been overnight with the ILS. We were supposed to be staying with friends but their Lo's were ill. We took T to Fil's sailing club; T loved it and Fil enjoyed showing him off. I had a bugger of a job trying to keep him out of the water though. We met up with some friends in the park today and had a picnic. A lovely lazy Summer weekend.

We're off to Chester Zoo on Weds. DH wants us to leave T there but I think we should leave DH in the gorilla enclosure.

Glad I'm not the only one who has been eating their DC's easter eggs!

Febes- Hope anabel cheers up soon X

Ah I missed the Easter emoticons! Cute. Mum and Dad have been down from Shetland so last week was lovely but hectic.

Adam was given a small (egg sized) easter egg by the MIL and he wolfed down like there was no tomorrow which was as I had just asserted that he wasn't really bothered by chocolate as I never gave him it. Grrr. I have plans for his other easter chocs .

RG - hope you are all better now?

LOM - Adam is also v.attracted to water, nightmare.

Jet - glad your do went well!

Febes - glad the second scan went well.

I am officially very, very tired. When do they stop running around like maniacs?! When do they stop trying to eat soil and gravel whilst shouting "mmmmmmm!"? All good fun tho and DH said he would consider having another!!

Febes · 14/04/2009 20:56

Anabel said NO! Really clearly about 3 times today. She is a very determined little madame- I wonder where she gets that from .

She has actually been so cute today. She sings Row, Row! and grabs my hand so I have to sing Row, row, row your boat and she joins in again for the lions roar and crocodiles scream bit.

Did anyone see In the night garden tonight Iggy Piggle found a twiddle . It cracked me up so much!!!! I need to get out more.....

Greedygirl · 14/04/2009 21:03

Hi Febes - Adam does exactly the same thing to row, row - so cute! He also likes to sit on bounce up and down on my shins and sing it which isn't so cute. Didn't see Night Garden tonight but I frequently smirk at kids tv, i am sure they are being naughty just to keep the adults on board!

Greedygirl · 14/04/2009 22:15

Hang on a minute, when does the lion roar in row row?! I'm missing a trick there as Adam loves to roar like a lion.

jetgirl · 15/04/2009 08:46

Morning all. My 2 are happily playing withthe lego and haven't demanded breakfast yet so I thought I would catch up on here!

febes - don't feel guilty, you are protecting your child from food that's bad for her (that's what i tell myself anyway)! I did an egg hunt in my parents' garden for the kids on Sunday, DD loved it, William didn't really understand but enjoyed following his big sister around. I lovingly labelled all the eggs and made sure they had the same amount each as DD is determined that William always gets the same as her, she's very fair! So the 2 of them have a disgusting amount of chocolate which I'll have to deprive them of...

lom- hope you enjoy Chester Zoo, we went there for DD's birthday last August and had a lovely day.

Greedy - they don't stop running around like maniacs for a while yet, sorry! William likes eating sand from his sand pit at the mo, why? It's the most horrible ltexture in the world! He is also partial to a mouthful of soil and yesterday he and DD decided to gang up on me and throw soil at me which ended up in an early bath for the 2 of them who were filthy. I have to confess it was funny though So is another one on the cards for you now then?

The weather's meant to be lovely here today, might have to have a picnic lunch in the garden, with a side order of sand for Wuilliam I'm sure

Febes · 15/04/2009 09:57

Jet- Anabel is quite partial to sand witha side order of soil and rotten conkers. Yum .

Greedy-
Row row your boat gently down the stream
If you see a crocodile don't forget to SCREAM

Row row your boat gently to the shore
If you see a lion don't forget to ROAR

Row row your boat gently to the lake
If you see a jelly fish don't forget to SHAKE

(last verse was learnt yesterday at the library)

Greedygirl · 15/04/2009 12:21

Febes - thanks for that - I am genuinely excited about trying out the new verses with his Lordship!!

Jet - not at the mo but nice to know it is a possibility, it has always been a straightforward "No way" up till now.

Febes · 15/04/2009 12:30

My sister is pregnant with number 2!! Her DS is 21 months and LO will (hopefully) be born around Christmas time. I'm not allowed to tell anyone in RL so needed to spill the beans on here. I'm so excited for her as she fell PG straight away, she took a year TTC DS.

RGPargy · 15/04/2009 20:53

Congrats to your sister Febes!

I never heard the jelly fish verse of Row Row Row! Ellie used to say "Row Row" but now she doesn't bother. I dont know why!!

littleoldme · 16/04/2009 10:22

We like to sing;

Row row your boat gently to and fro,
Whoops there, upsy daisy ,over the side he goes.

Then I kind of tip him off my knee.

I've just made a white chocolate and hazelnut cake. The recipe says it's got 7,700 calories in What have I done !!!!!

jetgirl · 16/04/2009 13:11

sounds yummy, pass me a slice please, lom!

febes - that's so exciting, congrats to your sister. Loving the extra verses for row, row, it's one william's favourites.

RG - William says new words for a bit, then doesn't bother again for ages, it's most frustrating!

RGPargy · 17/04/2009 10:14

LOM - haha that's a cute verse to the song. I might nick that!

Your cake sounds lovely!!! We really must get together for Malteser cake one day before our kids are drawing their pensions!

Greedygirl · 20/04/2009 19:58

Bookmarking, Adam is loving all the new verses to row your boat and now watches my lips intently to try and guess what is coming next! We need some more now. Going to Malaga this weekend on a hen weekend - eek!

LOVING THE SUNSHINE

OP posts:
Febes · 23/04/2009 18:20

Hasn't it been a lovely week. Of course it looks rubbish for the weekend.
I'm now 38 weeks and have 4 days left at work. Had a bit of a fright at the beginning of the week when the Midwife thought the baby might have been transverse breech but had a scan and it looks all good head down and into the pelvis.
Anabel has been loving the sunshine and has played in the garden lots it was almost warm enough to blow up the paddling pool the other day.
Hope everyone is good.

jetgirl · 23/04/2009 19:10

Of course it's rubbish for the weekend - it's my birthday on Sunday!!

RGPargy · 24/04/2009 14:57

Wow Febes!! Where has the time gone?!! 38 weeks??? Oooo i remember it well - you have my sympathies.

Jet - it's MIL's birthday tomorrow!
