Just bookmarking, so busy lately!

Febes - Thinking of going to one mysekf, if I can drag myself out of bed. My childminder has a tonne of brilliant out door toys from bootsales, including a tiny tikes playhouse he picked up for a fiver.

T took his first steps this morning. He looked very pleased with himself. I'm looking forwrad to him walking because he's getting frustrated at the mo - he wants to be on the move constantly.

DH and I are talking about TTC again in afew months. I really want to have another baby but I feel so utterly traumatised by my labout with T that I really don't know if I can. Anyone else feel like this or just me ???

Think I'm going to advantage of the V long nap T is having to watch some sex and the city X

oooo boot fares sound like a good idea!! Think i'll look out for the next one near me.

LOM - surely no two labours are the same tho?? Plus it's the end result that's worth thinking about.

Loopy - I went through my notes with my midwife whilst still in hosp. Bless her, they were run off their feet and she did it in her lunch break. So I know what happened... I guess I need to give it more thought. I';m getting emotional now so I've going to take advantage of the spag bol, white wine and sexy dh all waiting for me in the kitchen. X

Oh have a baby!!! This PG has been much easier for me and I feel grest at 34 weeks. I hope the birth goes ok, I have another scan tomorrow to check the placenta as it was low so if that is fine then I hope to have anither natural birth. Most people say the second one is quicker and easier but birth is always a hard days work. Nice result though .

Quiet on here this weekend. I'm enjoy the gorgeous sunshine here today although I am at work.
Went to NCT sale yesterday and bought Anabel clarks shoes, wellies, 2 trousers, denim jacket, some cool toys from ELC, reins, a bike with a push along handle plus some bits for the new baby. Very exciting. Love a bargin me. Didn't find any outdoor play stuff as I missed the carboots because of the late start due to time change. Anabel slept until 9.15am old time yesterday so 10.15am new time and I woke her. She also slept 3 hours during the day and another 12 hours last night. I hope she does this when new baby comes.

I had another scan on friday and my placenta was in a good position as was the baby head down and all that. It measured at 1.9 kgs so she predicted at term it will be about 3kgs or 7 pounds so I can't complain about that. as Anabel was less that 6 pounds I must just have small babies. Lucky me.

I've been given a HUGE pile of washable nappies. I think they are cotton bottoms; they fasten with a nippa. I'm looking for new homes for about 10. If anyone fancies then giz a yell X

Hi all!!!!!

Callum is now walking everywhere! and his favourite word atm is 'noooooooo' He is doing fab and we have been discharged from SCBU and dietian clinic.

Febes · 01/04/2009 21:11

Hi sparky long time glad to hear Callum is doing so well.

RGPargy · 01/04/2009 21:53

Hi everyone

Loopy - i've been a bit shouty lately too. Erk, i have to stop doing that! I dont like being a shouty mummy!!

Bedtime was horrid tonight. DD has been playing up at bedtime so tonight i had to be ruthless and let her cry a bit tonight until she went to sleep (i was in and out of her room for an hour to calm her tho lol). Hopefully tomorrow night wont be as bad!

I've decided i'm not going to work this week. The weather's too good and i cant be arsed to get caught up in all these bloomin' protests in the City. Sod that for a game of soldiers! So i've come down with the lurgi () tomorrow and Friday and will stay at home with my little poppet instead.

Afternoon all. Good on yer for skivving RG. I always find that ringing up and saying one has discoloured and foul smelling vaginal dischrge puts pay to any awkward questions from HR

Hi Sparkly

Loopy - enjoy the fish,

It was my last proper day at work yesterday. I'm very relieved but it is going to me a while to relax - I'm still in stressy work mode.

RGPargy · 02/04/2009 20:34

DD was out like a light tonight so i'm wondering if she was teething and/or mega over tired the last few nights (she goes very hyper when she's tired).

Loopy - did you enjoy your Koi day?

LOM - dont think i'd go quite that far haha! I said i had suspected tonsilitis and just as i was leaving a message my voice went really croaky so i'll deffo sound more believable! Of course it'll just end up as a throat infection or something, according to the chemist i went to see . Oh my, what a tangled web i am weaving just for 2 days off!

Have you unwound from work yet? How much more time have you got left before you completely leave your job? I'm very of you!!

Greedygirl · 02/04/2009 21:34

Hi all
RG - ha ha we always take the piss out of the students who ring in sick with a croaky voice, too obvious; vaginal yuckiness is the way forward! Good for you, hope you enjoy.

LOM - wow! Give it a month and you'll be soooo chilled. Lovely news.

Loopy - I had to ask Adam to give it a rest tonight on the way home as he was doing v.annoying screechy noises. Then I felt guilty and sang wheels on the bus which made him cry ! So we both agreed to stay quiet after that. Hope you enjoyed the koi.

Hi Sparkly!

Saw one of my neighbours tonight who I haven't seen for yonks and I spied a very prominent bump but I have a policy of not commenting on pregnant bellies unless I am completely and utterly certain (bad experience with a hairdresser ) so in the end I cautiously said "you look very well..." and she said she was due in 2 weeks!! So I am now on standby for gratuitousbabysniffing hoovering and hot meal duties.

jetgirl · 02/04/2009 22:31

Hi all!
Can't believe how long it's been, but I have been so busy lately that I just haven't had time to MN properly! I'll fill you on that later though.

febes - glad the scan went well. i definitely found my second labour easier and quicker - only 16 hours compared to 25 for the first I had a lovely time though and felt much more in control, like I actually knew what to do that time round. We thought William would be around 7lbs, he was 8lbs 1oz, which was a surprise, esp after DD who was 5lbs 8oz! I have a colleague at work due on May 7th, she has a lovely bump, there are a number of us with bump envy

Sparkly - nice to hear from you again, and it's great news that Callum's been discharged.

LOM - I bet T is keeping you really busy now he's walking. My first labour was not the best, but it wasn't until I was actually pg with William that I really thought about it and realised how badly things could have turned, and the implications for William's birth meant it was highly likely I would need a cs, though I didn't in the end. I found talking with my midwife really helped though.

RG - good on you for staying at home, you wouldn't want to get caught up in the protests.

Loopy - I've been very grumpy tonight with DD. DH has gone out with workmates and I have masses to do for work tomorrow, and had to put both the kids to bed - we normally take one each. Well DD saw this was a great opportunity to be a pain and didn't go down until nearly 9, grr. Thing is I was more pissed off with DH than DD, but took it out on her, which was very mean and naughty mummy of me.

Well, I have been busy planning an event at work tomorrow. We're celebrating 40 years of Latin at my school ,with ex-students and staff coming back, and I have had to creat displays and a powerpoint and write a speech, which I hate doing. It's going to be a big deal because the local press will be there, largely because one of the ex-students is Will Champion, the drummer in Coldplay. He was actually in my year at school and I've not seen him since we were 18. I am still busy tweaking my powerpoint and putting together my last display which can be mounted as soon as I get in tomorrow. I'm knackered, but have got to get it all done tonight as I won't get to work until an hour or so before the event as DH is having to look after the kids, but he has a couple of appointments in the morning first. It should be a great event, but I am also looking forward to it being over so I can relax properly. I had my hair done today, which was nice - I last had it done for William's christening which was last April!!!

William is constantly on the move now, he just loves being up and about, and we had lovely time at the common on Wednesday when he kept running off laughing. He was so funny when I collected him from nursery today as he didn't recognise me with my new haircut. Normally he runs up to me, but today he just stared at me with a really funny expression that said 'you sound like my muumy, but something's different'. I suppose I should be grateful that I have a son who notices when I get my hair done .

I won't leave it so long to talk again!!
