BTW I find cleaning the willy a lot easier than cleaning DD's bits... She gets poo in her flaps all the time................................................... esp as she is pooing 8 times a day every day.

Did I tell you she is a genius and can now say "nana" for banana and "lala" when she sees Teletubbies or DS1's lala toy.

Just had their feet measured. DS1 is 3.5 on one foot and 4 on other. DD is 1.5. They don't even make proper shoes until size 3. Cruising shoes start at size 2. Poor DD will be shoeless. I think I will start a thread about pathetically small feet. DS1 was a size 4 at 11 months........

Egg · 29/01/2009 10:12

That should have read that DS2 is a 3.5 on one foot and 4 on other. DS1 is clearly a bit bigger (7.5).

strawberrycornetto · 29/01/2009 11:16

Egg, DS is still wearing 0 - 6 month shoes, and I know his feet are tiny, so I suspect we will be in the same position. Am hoping he might just make the crusing shoes but think its unlikely. Still, you know what they say about small feet in a man

Egg · 29/01/2009 11:51

Hehe, small feet = small socks = small shoes .

Do you ever find any socks that stay on? Even 0-6 month ones fall off DD, she must have odd shaped small feet . DS2 wears 12-24 month socks now.

Does your DS have tiny hands too?

sarahmikeharryandrosie · 29/01/2009 12:42

HEEEEEELLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOO= EGG!!!!!!missed ya!!!!!

gingermumi · 29/01/2009 12:44

runs in .... waves to one and all....runs out to do loads of work Fab news swotty btw

Egg · 29/01/2009 12:47

Right I have read back a bit and tried to take everything in.

Firstly massive sympathy to Rozzy with the sickness bug. I really hope it is on its way out now. When my three had it at Christmas it was dreadful but at least DH and I didn't get it so you must have had a dreadful time of it lately.

Mini lots of luck for the forthcoming wedding! You must be very excited. Bet the kids are getting excited too! Am sure I asked you before but what car do you have? You sound so much more capable at getting out and about with your FIVE than I am with my three.

leesmum is your DH called Roger? Or Rodney?

I am Christina. My DH is Christopher...... And when we met I was always known as Chris, and so is he, so we are known to a lot of friends as Big Chris and Little Chris .

Strawb tons of luck this afternoon. I hope you get some answers re: DS's recurring chest problems, did not realise your poor DD had been suffering too . Really hope the appt goes well. Also keep meaning to ask, is your DH a surveyor? My old company used to do ski trips every Jan (worked for surveyors).

I know i have missed a lot out but i must get on with my chores quickly while babies are sleeping and then hopefully get back again here later.

Egg · 29/01/2009 12:50

Ooh X posts with JANE and SARAH .

Hello to you both. Hope you are well. Ginger is work still mad busy? How is lovely Toby?

And did I say "...babies are sleeping...". I clearly meant baby as one is yelling. Gah. She sleeps really badly at the mo in daytime. And in fact she is not doing too well at night at the mo either.

gingermumi · 29/01/2009 13:10

heya egg Work is crappily busy

Egg · 29/01/2009 13:13

Bugger. Not like you can knock back bottles of wine whilst working either, to make the time go more quickly... Not that I knock back wine at home during the day you understand????? In fact the last time I did during the day you were here too!!

When are we all going to meet up again??????? I think we were going to Basingstoke .

bovrilsarnies · 29/01/2009 16:29

Hello Ladies!!!!

It's been an awful long time since I last made an appearance on here! but Today is my birthdsay, and DP got me a netbook as my pressie!!!!! LUCKY ME!! INTERNET ACCESS ON DEMAND AGAIN!!!!! WOOOOOO HOOOOOO!

I don't suppose I can entirely catch up on everything- so I'm gonna make a new start from here.

I can't believe Seren is nearly 1 already! Happy belated birthday to Toby, Rebecca, Jacob,Abby, Jack, James, Theo, Malcom, Jack, and happy birthday to Daniel for the 31st! (I think thats everyone - appologies if I missed anyone!)

Right, Gonna read back on thje thread a little bit, see if I can catch up a bit!

miniandme · 29/01/2009 18:37

Egg we have a 9 seater transit minibus with the double buggy permanently up in the back so its just a case of lifting it in and out.Ive always been a mega organised person so adding another 2 kids into the mix wasnt too bad after the first 6 months lol!!
Does jacob and rebecca still sleep together?? trying to help with the sleeping dilema,Abby also has tiny feet and never wears shoes or socks she also doesnt sleep much during the day either though does sleep soundly all night ,jack sleeps a couple of times during the day for about half hour so so each time but hes a bit more resltess during the night.

alkar · 29/01/2009 19:31

Congratulations swotty - boys are ace!!!

leesmum · 29/01/2009 20:11

Happy Birthday Bovril love it's nice to hear from you xxxx

Egg my ds2's feet are the same size as your ds2's but are a g width nice fat toes

My dp is called Roland, he hates it, i hate it and there was no way either boy was going to be called it!!

Swotty how about Ronaldo or Wayne for a boy, now that would be sooooo cool

rozzyraspberry · 29/01/2009 21:02

Hope your lo's are ok Strawberry.

Egg - my ds2 is Christopher. Have you reverted to Christina?

I'm tempted to go out and get ds3 cruisers to keep his feet cosy but he's started walking after his toddle truck so might just wait until he's walking properly. The other 2 walked at just over 14 months so we'll see how he goes.

Hope work calms down Ginger - I'm mad busy at work too but at least the days go quickly.

Ds3 made it up to the 5th stair today - we're either going to have to get a stair gate at the bottom or I'm going to have to become a better mummy and take a closer eye on him.

Gill79 · 29/01/2009 21:07

Was going to suggest Roderick. Hope not offended anyone's dad or DP! Roland is very unusual isn't it? Not necessarily bad though. After deciding to name my son Malcolm I have more time for those sort of names! What do you call him Leesmum?

Congrats Swotty! Boys rock. Willies are easy although they do rather love grabbing hold of them . Thanks Egg for getting flaps mentioned again.

Bad luck with sickness Rozzy - hope you all continue to recover!

What a week - had birthday party number 2 on Monday, FIRST STEPS!!!!! (on his actual birthday can you believe?) and started settling in at nursery. Party number 2 btw was vvvv stressful. Invited far too many people, had no-one to help me answer the door, sort out buggy jams in the hallway, get drinks etc and Malcolm hated it He got freaked out by the first baby that turned up and wouldn't be put down the whole time. Lessons have been learned!

Nursery visit number 1 was very upsetting for Malcolm. DP took him today and it was a bit better cause he didn't cry the whole time and we've got two more sessions before starting full days next Wednesday (when I start doing two days a week at work).

swottybetty · 30/01/2009 08:37

happy birthday bovril ... and wow what a present! should we expect to see a lot more of you?

egg i was just thinking about where you were yesterday. oh god, bastingstoke . i hear its not that bad....

leesmum - i thought robert (echoes gill's apologies to all roberts.... its my brother's name BTW). def more chance of a little terry rather than a wayne round these parts.

well done malcom on his first steps! did he do them in front of people? that would rock . sorry first couple of nursery trials been difficult - how is his tummy now?

rozzy - does that mean your ds3 not in shoes at all? i dont put dd in anything and i do have pangs about her feet getting cold. wd on the step climbing - re keeping an eye on them, dd now has a large bump and bruise on head after god-knows-what. dh never leaves her alone really, and is quite that i do - but really! how can i not? then he comes home and finds her purple and blue ....

mini - i wonder what kind of car those octapets (KNOW thats the wrong spelling ) have. cant believe they already have six kids.

leesmum · 30/01/2009 10:00

Gill i like to call him dickhead or Ro, some of his mates call him Roly which i also hate!

Hi everyone have a good friday x

I'm not sure i like the new set-up on Mumsnet

strawberrycornetto · 30/01/2009 10:31

Hello all, glad its Friday?? Work ok but busy. Will post more again later, just wanted to say hi.

sarahmikeharryandrosie · 30/01/2009 11:50

copious amounts of wine are required for me!!!!!!!

i like the new set up i think-

sopke to Missnat yesterday on FACEBOOK< she is good, but busy and asked me to say hi,

bbl

rozzyraspberry · 30/01/2009 13:57

No swotty no shoes on ds3 yet. We do have a fab bunker cosytoes on his buggy which my sil got in Belgium which keeps him very toasty. But nothing when I'm just carrying him. Re keeping an eye on him - I'm guessing your dh doesn't get much else done if he's watching your dd all the time - where as you have no choice but to get things done.

Hope your lo's are ok with the pox Sarah - good to get them both over with at once though. Enjoy the wine!

Well done on the first steps Gill - what a lovely time for Malcolm to do it!

Leesmum - 'Ro' is actually quite nice I think (nicer than dickhead anyway.

I didn't realise the parents of the octuplets had 6 kids already - omg! And she plans to bf all of them - 1 is hard enough!

bovrilsarnies · 30/01/2009 14:45

Thanks for the Happy Birthday - had a brill day!

Seren had her feet measured last week and is a size 3H. Quite difficult to come by that size I have been told - but the woman also said that you can sometimes get a size larger and a width smaller that will also fit.

Good luck Sarah with the pox!! hopefully they won't get it too badly!

Leesmum - whenever I hear the name Roland - it reminds me of Grange hill - and I can't help but pronounce it Ro-Land!!

Oh, the LO has just woken up - better go!

bovrilsarnies · 30/01/2009 14:55

omg! just found her sat up in her cot!! best i start putting the side up!!!!!

omy · 30/01/2009 15:05

Swotty! A BOY! clever you to be able to do both - I can only make girls - fine by me, dads like to have sons! (so they say) - and such industry - if only they could bottle those hormones! I have been trying to read and catch up all day and Leila won't let me - I have fobbed her off at the moment with a potato masher - she seems to think it is amazing! But I am on my knees typing so she thinks I am at her level. If I stand up she will cry to be picked up!

Alkar - daniel's first step! yay - such a great milestone.
Not to boast of anything (!) but LO is now staggering across the floor - though still prefers crawling as it is more reliable!

Hey Mini - v exciting to have a holiday booked. certainly very exciting with 2 babies running around! I would need reins!

Leesmum - was going to say Reginald!

Egg - he he chris cross? I hope no one every is in your household! I am still on my knees and LO is happily pressing all the buttons on the dryer and washing machine. I have put some towels under my knees though!!

Hey Bovril! welcome back!

Rozzy - hope your family is better - we too have a mad stair climber - but thanfully no stairs inside the flat - if anyone leaves our front door open however Leila could fall all the way down the hall stairs - my nightmare!

Hey Gill - I'm sure Malcolm will get the hang of nursery soon - and your 2 days a week sound perfect - hope it goes OK. This being my third LO I remember so well the many stressful parties over the years and will be very selfish this time and have very low key parties if at all! I remember one when i hired a huge ball pool that took up the whole room and DD1s whole reception class came! OMG never again!

omy · 30/01/2009 15:14

BF 6 at once!!!!!!!!! whaaat - she will have giant bazoookers! and be lying down ALL the time - hope she has lots of servants - hang on the other 6 kids could fill in there!

DH found my birthing ball outside in the rain, washed it and brought it in for LO and she LOVES pushing it around. It has sand in the bottom so is a bit more stable than normal ones. Gotta go and put LO down for arvo nap - have a student coming for a private lesson - nice to have the cash as DH still not working! He has gone into town to look at art galleries for some inspiration! Hope it works!

Hey chicken pox Sarah! - great to get it out of the way - I hope they get it mildly.
