Can someone please add "our babies" as my machine will probably blow up if I try it

LittleRascal · 02/01/2009 06:59

new years present here- my ds took 4 steps! did it a couple of times yesterday and today!!!so proud!

LittleRascal · 02/01/2009 07:03

LadyBee- back pain is very common for c-sections- usually around where the epidural/spinal block was put in. start doing gentle stomach pull ins and light crunches (pull belly button in fully then out 10% then raise head slowly up and down). if it carries on, best to be refered to physio as your muscle alignment may be out- can lead to more pain later

SalLikesCoffee · 02/01/2009 10:30

Ladybee, thanks for that link. Looks like a nice agency, have bookmarked it for future use. Damn, sorry to hear you're upset re the work thing. Don't really know what to say, so excuse if I'm saying it all wrong... It might be better once you actually start though. I had this conversation with one of my previous bosses the other day. She didn't want to go back to work at all, hated the idea with a passion. She said once she settled in it was fine and, while she misses her little girl, it was also good to have this part of her life back. Good luck either way.

Whoah LittleRascal - he'll be running soon!

Tomorrow's our 5 year anniversary, but with R being ill, dh now in the midst of man flu and me with a sore throat and snotty nose, I can't see a whole lot of romancing on the menu. sigh.

VSisFlouncing · 02/01/2009 10:49

Three nights of no night wakings Hurrah!
Well done LR, have a feeling it won't be long before A is doing the same, he stood by himself for the first time yesterday, then realised what he was doing and promptly fell on his arse
We have another 'No-er' here too, he has taken to telling me no by shaking his head when I give him food that isn't chocolate or custard

ClarissimoUsedToBePeachy · 02/01/2009 11:07

Well done LR's LO, am dreading that stage..... can you imagine out walking with a toddler, a 5 year old on reins, an active 8 year old and a 9 year old with SN? Arrrrrggghhhhhhhh LOL

Playpen- would love one but we haven't got a cot yet . DH planning on sorting ASAP but car playing up so have to sort that before it blows up!

CM_ I felt the same, invisible, I am that sort but its possible I have been put up and voted out so I won't ask. There's one person i am very about now because of something she trried to do on that thread 9won't say who and nobody will guess) but it'll pass. I hope. Amazing ha;f the people left off tbh, many I'd have put money on wuld have been there, very odd.

Bas is managing to food refuse now- just a control thing. He's ok with brekkie (soya yog) if, and only if, DH gives it. Tike!
I found the signing by googling. Can't wait, esp. as Cardiff so nobody will- ahem- know me through ds1

scorpio1 · 02/01/2009 11:38

i am ill. i have just about everything wrong with me, ever.

hello to everyone

SalLikesCoffee · 02/01/2009 11:58

Hey Scorpio! Oh dear, what's wrong? (Or is it better not to ask?)

EllieG · 02/01/2009 15:40

Oh poor poorly scorpio [hugs]

I am starting babysigning in Jan too! Am excited. Molly can say dadadada but really don't think she means anything by it, cos she also says bab bob bob and dig dig a lot too. And sometimes, when she is sad, beb beb beb. Lots of noises, but no meaning I feel. At least, I'm sure has meaning but I don't know it.

She woke up at 3 last night, went back to sleep at 5.30 and then woke again at 6. I am exhausted. I don't want to do CC but she ain't making it easy to argue my case with DH, and I am SO tired and want to cry. Ever bloody night now. She's getting worse not better. She wants to be cuddled to sleep - I think is regressing. Maybe is nighttime separation anxiety.

Is crying again. Must go.

VSisFlouncing · 02/01/2009 15:49

How much is she eating Ellie?
Alex has sduddenly started devouring everything in sight and has a ton of custard after his dinner, started sleeping right through his night feed.

ClarissimoUsedToBePeachy · 02/01/2009 15:59

Also ellie she could have a bug coming- i often find a bug appears after this sort of change in behaviour iyswim.

Bas needimng lots of night feeds but refusing slids as he seems to be teething again

MadameOvary · 02/01/2009 17:53

LittleRascal - so exciting for you!
VS - lol at your description of DS.
Scorpio - sorry you're poorly, hope you feel better soon!

Ellis v. whingy and clingy but can be distracted for short periods - at the moment she is using a box of breast pads as a drum.

She still loves the Ella's pouches but I'm relieved that she eats veg chunks now.

ClarissimoUsedToBePeachy · 02/01/2009 18:01

MO is Ellis veggie? If not have you tried the new Ellas chicen casserole- Bas loves it (but only as a rare treat!)

MadameOvary · 02/01/2009 18:39

Peachy - Yes is Ellis is veggie as I converted after meeting DP. Must confess tho I do toy with the idea of sneaking her some organic meat but that's a whole other thread

chipmonkey · 02/01/2009 18:51

Harry sent home from nursery with conjunctivitis today. He did have red eyes this morning but I thought it was because of a sniffly nose. So dh had to collect him as I'm in work ( and not supposed to be online!)

ClarissimoUsedToBePeachy · 02/01/2009 19:52

LOLO MO- both my sisters veggie amrried to meat worshippers: get where you are coming from!

SalLikesCoffee · 02/01/2009 22:19

Oh no chipmonkey. Poor thing.

chipmonkey · 02/01/2009 22:56

Poor child is so confused as to why I'm squirting breastmilk into his eyes instead of his mouth. He's hopping mad!

SalLikesCoffee · 02/01/2009 22:58

hahahaha. I miss the breastmilk cure for things, have to admit!

scorpio1 · 02/01/2009 23:00

poor ds, chipmonkey.

chipmonkey · 02/01/2009 23:22

anyone want to donate breastmilk for scorpio to have a bath in?

chipmonkey · 02/01/2009 23:23

Forgot to mention he also had formula in a bottle for the first time ever. but I couldn't keep up with him by expressing.

MadameOvary · 02/01/2009 23:27

PFJ - sorry you are going through this. I have been there. Cat me if you want to email or talk about it. Young babies are hard enough work without your supposedly supportive partner getting aggressive.

Could I ask that whoever starts the new thread puts that Ellis was 9lb 12 and born at 40+6?
I dont mind doing it btw, just didnt want to pre-empt anyone IYSWIM.

MadameOvary · 02/01/2009 23:38

PFJ I am SO sorry, somehow thought I was reading a current post . Didnt want to remind you and hope things are ok?
