Can someone please add "our babies" as my machine will probably blow up if I try it

Exactly, mad

DD2 has started reverse crawling, let the fun begin.

LadyBeeNLookingForPressies · 28/12/2008 20:46

We're doing clearing out before starting to paint our lounge and dining room, and found the scan pictures of babybee when I was 20 weeks pregnant. Both DP and I started crying - he's just about as clucky as I am. But he's fine with my plan to stop bf once Benedict is well settled at childminder and not to start ttc until mid-year at very earliest.
He's so enjoying spending time with DS over this break, it's great! I get time off and DP gets to see what it's like looking after him for more than a few days at a time.

Scorpio, how's the thrush? Your reaction struck me as very sad, why so upset about it? Or was it something else? are you ok?

scorpio1 · 28/12/2008 20:48

So upset because i don't want it to make me stop I can't imagine 'taking' it from her. It is very painful, and i think a doctors visit is needed this week. I had such a hard time with it before that i am afraid of it again. Thankyou for asking

LadyBeeNLookingForPressies · 28/12/2008 22:03

Ah, sorry - I wondered if it was related to idea of stopping BFing. Definitely get to a dr ASAP, if you can get on to it early hopefully you won't have such a hard time with it this time? Maybe do a boil on your bras as well to make sure you don't reinfect yourself while starting treatment?

So far as I can tell, BabyB isn't showing any signs of missing me feeding him, but I've only swapped one feed over, will start dropping the second tomorrow I think - although I was bit engorged today, so might leave it one more day to make sure boobs have the message and are ok.

I'm focussing on some positive stuff about reducing feeding...one of which is buying some new pretty bras..am sooooo sick of my nursing ones.

MadameOvary · 28/12/2008 22:15

Hope you all had happy Xmases!
Littlerascal congrats!
Sadly my Xmas was not good , but DD enjoyed herself, yes she loved the paper.
Scorpio how are you doing? I feel for you esp as I have just recovered from mastitis.

DD has just started the whole seperation anxiety thing where she cries if I hand her to anyone else. A complete about turn from the uber-sociable grin monster she was - but its okay, she still smiles when she's back with Mum.

She is eating broccoli and veg chunks, I am SO pleased as she wont touch any savoury baby food, I was beginning to worry that she had a serious sweet tooth so its a massive relief.

Clarissimo · 29/12/2008 11:46

Our Christmas was mixed, but the kids loved which is what matters I think! Bas loves trotting up and down pushing his pushalong toy.

scorpio1 · 29/12/2008 11:55

Madame - I'm ok thankyou i know i should go to the docs, but postponing it 'incase' it isn't, when i sort of know it is....oh i don't know! Why bad xmas? You don't have to say, just hoping you are ok really.

Clairissimo - goodness @ Bas!

We have a full house here, 4 children and us. I think i am a nutter for wanting to add to this.....

Going to go to the cinema this week - to see bedtime story. anyone seen it yet?

scorpio1 · 29/12/2008 11:55

And its our 1st wedding anniversary on the 19th

VSisFlouncing · 29/12/2008 16:20

Hi all.
Soooo busy here.
Christmas was fab, DP's grandfather came home and it was lovely.
Scorpio, when I got thrush again it wasn't anywhere near as bad, go get it fixed.
Nice new name Peachy.

Clarissimo · 29/12/2008 16:26

Oh glad you had him VS (are you really flouncing?)

MadameOvary · 29/12/2008 16:28

I am ok thank you Scorpio
Congratulations on your Anniversary!

VSisFlouncing · 29/12/2008 17:04

Yep. I'm not posting on any thread other than this one.

Clarissimo · 29/12/2008 17:15

That's a shame but selfishly glad we keep you. Similar reasons as to the ones for my not-hidden-but-you'd-need-to-care name change I guess?

VSisFlouncing · 29/12/2008 17:16

Pretty much, yes, both sides have disgusted me on certain threads.
Did you see I made the papers?

Clarissimo · 29/12/2008 17:28

I did VS- that was crap wasn't it?

I hope I didnt upset you, but have popped an apology in general on the allowed-for thread

VSisFlouncing · 29/12/2008 17:31

No, you didn't, not at all. I was more bothered by people I respected (on both sides) sniping at each other.
Horrible affair

Clarissimo · 29/12/2008 17:32

Got silly didnt it? Couldnt believe the stuff from some peope but hey ho, amazing what you learn eh?

believer07 · 29/12/2008 19:24

I saw you in the papers VS, the language was shocking.

scorpio1 · 29/12/2008 19:57

dss is here this week. has come down with shoes with holes in and leather worn off, and a coat with no hood with a massive rip. Sigh. We pay his money weekly without fail & all contact costs. What do i do? (either replace items or get dh to say to his mum?) Contact with his mum can be difficult, but then this will be another £60 ish....

And he is ill, being sick everywhere.

We are decorating Mimi's room this week. pink carpet goes down this week and pink walls tomorrow

She poked herself in the eye tonight and wouldnt open it for about 20 mins, really screaming, we nearly took her to A&E ( mins away) but then i bf her in dark room and she opened her eyes. I was terrified but she is fastos now.

VSisFlouncing · 29/12/2008 20:56

believer07, don't know why you're on the april08 thread, unless you had a baby and hadn't yet joined us, in which case, welcome, but quote was not mine, it was misattributed to me.
Anyway, I've said all I have to say on the matter.

Scorpio, I don't know what I'd do, probably replace with cheap items, but keep them at your house?
My step-brother's mum used to do this, send him with ripped and ruined clothes, my parents would replace them and then he'd come the next time with ripped and ruined clothes, we bumped into them once and he had really lovely stuff on, sadly I think it was just a way to make my parents spend more.

believer07 · 29/12/2008 22:40

I am part of this thread, I was beeper.

MadameOvary · 30/12/2008 11:24

Scorpio that's awful about your DSS and VS I dont know how some people have the cheek. It always makes me so when kids are dragged into the game-playing.

scorpio1 · 30/12/2008 11:28

VS, i think there is truth in what you say, as he says he has other 'jackets' at home, but only one other pair of shoes, slip on things? I must admit that mine have clarks for school 7 nursery, as they are in them all day, etc etc. The shoes he are wearing are black adidas 'sneakers', that apparently double up as trainers AND school shoes. She has sent him down with no pj's (we bought some) and vest tops , and shorts. 2 jumpers and about 4 pairs of jeans, also with holes and scuffs. It's all tatty and stinks of smoke .

I was up all last night with d&v bug. VS i text you but i dont think you got it, asking if its ok to bf still? i have now anyway....

MadameOvary · 30/12/2008 11:31

OMG DD is cutting her ninth tooth. Guess that explains why she has been sleeping even less than usual.
Anyone else's LO going through the seperation anxiety phase?

scorpio1 · 30/12/2008 11:37

9th???? 9th???

Mimi has just grown her 2nd

Anxiety seperation so textbook for this age. It will pass I take it you know its because she thinks you have gone forever and ever if she cant see you?
