I would wear tights!

SophtheRedNosedReindeer · 16/12/2008 14:45

LOL ThreeShips - just what I was thinking.

ThreeShipsComesailingin · 16/12/2008 14:55

I was assuming you would wear tights! Still worried in a mumsy way that that's not enough

SophtheRedNosedReindeer · 16/12/2008 15:00

Bet she's not taking a coat though

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 16/12/2008 15:06

I say no. They're horrid. But it's not me that has to wear them!

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 16/12/2008 15:10

Oh and Xmas, we have got one present for Alex, one for Bobby and J's Dad's so far, we still have to get one more for A*B, two for DD, MiL&BiL.
Our tree went up on sunday.

KnitterInTheNW · 16/12/2008 15:17

The only way I could wear those shorts is as a hat but a definate yes for you Scorpio!

I'm still in my maternity jeans, but at least the size 22 trousers I bought forever ago are starting to fall down. Good job I'm not that fussed about my size!

Think we're mostly set for christmas, cards all written and sent with one of these in each one (he'll kill me when he's older!!), all pressies bought and wrapped except for a big plant that my sister wants, want to get that at late as poss so there's less chance of me killing it. Need to pick up the mousemat and T shirt with photos on that I've ordered for my dad too. We've got 9 here inc George for christmas day, in our little 2 up 2 down terrace. 'Twill be cosy!

SophtheRedNosedReindeer · 16/12/2008 15:17

Right ladies, got to go & tidy up, dash to the supermarket, kiss the babies, wrap a pressie, get changed, kiss babies again, go to carol concert and when I get back have a bloody large glass of wine

See you tomorrow.

ThreeShipsComesailingin · 16/12/2008 15:28

see you soph - have fun!

Can I rant? Bloody builders....our bathroom was meant to take 10 days. We are now in week 5, and its half finished. No one turned up today - the toilet works but there's no door and no working sink.

And the dds room was meant to be done by Christmas. The guy meant to be doing it has promised to come every day this week - I saw him this morning and he said half an hour. - still not come - and i can see him in his office drinking tea! The annoying thing is that we have to get girls to my mums so we can decorate it, and I can't organise it as I have no idea if when it'll ever be ready. aarghhh

SophtheRedNosedReindeer · 16/12/2008 15:28

Knitter - fab photo btw & yes he will kill you when he's older, but that's the great thing about being a parent!

KnitterInTheNW · 16/12/2008 15:36

Thanks Soph, enjoy your carols and wine
TSCSI, rant away, the situation sounds awful. And completely not fair on you.

ThreeShipsComesailingin · 16/12/2008 16:32

Yay! I spoke too soon. He's come, and is starting tomorrow, and will be finished by Saturday/

Hope the bathroom builders will be too...

Thanks Knitter! Love the pic of LO by the way - he looks so grown up!

ThePFJInASleigh · 16/12/2008 17:22

Love the shorts Scorpio. Go for it!

Oma - Me and my DP, until the last couple weeks ago, were having the most heartbreaking nasty rows, often in the middle of the frickin night when Jack woke us up. Gods knows what the neighbours thought of us screaming at 3am. Or we'd have a prefectly good day together and then things would kick off in the evening over something stupid and then DP wouldn't let it go and it'd turn into another screamer.
Again, they were about stupid things, or just us being nasty to one another. I think it was stress on us both... Christmas coming up, the baby, his new job, my family being assholes, my mum being ill all balled up into one. We have stopped arguing now, I guess since I have all the shopping done for Xmas and he is getting into his stride at work more that we are less 'sensitive' and are back to hugs and ttc for our second baby.

Dunno if that helps you to tell you my boring life story, but I always like hearing other peoples experiences of similiar problems if only to feel less alone/consoled/or if you like you can point and laugh at me and I won't mind!

Hope your rows stop soon honey anyways.

ThePFJInASleigh · 16/12/2008 17:26

Awww Knitter the pic is DARLING!

I am sure he won't kill you. It's the mums who think showing girlfriends pics of baby naked or baby with finger up own ass or baby eating own snot or baby being cute on the potty naked that generally get killed.

Honest.

scorpio1 · 16/12/2008 17:27

Knitter that pic is lush

agree totally with tiredness and arguments. Men are shite.

ThePFJInASleigh · 16/12/2008 17:31

TSC - tell em they won't get paid unless they start adhering to the schedule they laid out for you at the beginning. After all thats what they agreed to for the price.
Either that or when they finish eat their brains. They are WINKERS for holding up your plans.. its just not on.
Sorry... my thread rants are over now.. honest.. ahem.

KnitterInTheNW · 16/12/2008 18:12

Me & DH had been getting on v v v badly up until middle of last week when we told each other off a lot, now the air is cleared and our house is a much nicer place to be. I was seriously thinking about going to stay at my parents for a couple of weeks before.

SalLikesEggnogUnderMistletoe · 16/12/2008 18:21

Hello all. Didn't work today, so met a friend and went to the "German Christmas Market" at the South Bank. Ok, nothing brilliant, but a nice stroll nonetheless (and lovely mulled wine ).

Love the pic, Knitter.

Oma, your girls sound lovely. Hope P feels better soon. And (still in club myself) sympathies with regards to night-wakings! Stress is a terrible thing, things will get better again! One of these days they're all grown up and they can spoil their mom and dad rotten for all the sleepless nights and not-so-lovely-conversations that created!

Ah, dh at front door, have to go hide his gift.

ThePFJInASleigh · 16/12/2008 21:24

Glad its not just me Knitter... must have been something in the air/water eh?

So happy your relationship is better again. It's so nice when you can think about the week just gone and say horray! no screaming! Lol.

Your pic reminds me... I must charge up my camcorder/camera doodad for Christmas and ask my brother to make sure he brings his digital camera up when he comes to see us. I want to have as much film/picture evidence of my little man's first Christmas as I can stuff my face with when I am an old and lonely old crone who only responds to the word whiskey.

ThePFJInASleigh · 16/12/2008 21:26

Where is our lovely VS hiding to? If you are out there, hope you are ok. Probably just busy with Christmas....?

Mollyfloss · 16/12/2008 22:10

Hello

ThePFJInASleigh · 16/12/2008 22:17

Mollyfloss · 16/12/2008 22:22

ThePFJInASleigh · 16/12/2008 22:25
