OMG pfj - what weirdos. and lol at telling his mum.

ThreeShipsComesailingin · 16/12/2008 12:42

PFJ - lol

It feels nice and christmassy on here, everyone seems to be in a perky mood . I just found out that Christmas is next week - really soon - and I haven't finished getting presents or anything yet. Do you all have trees and decorations and everything?

ThePFJInASleigh · 16/12/2008 12:54

Yeap.. I put up the tree earlier this year for baby Jack. I am pretty much done.. food, presents, deccies.. Although I only put up a tree and lights in the window deccies wise really.

I only got started early because I had the time to do it this year.

9 days til Chrimbo!

ThePFJInASleigh · 16/12/2008 12:55

Er I meant earlier than normal.. not that I put the tree up months ago!! I actually put it up on Dec 4th, after I noticed the neighbours already had theirs up for their kids.

ThreeShipsComesailingin · 16/12/2008 12:59

Shit. Maybe I should get ours. We are nt even here for Christmas, so if I don't do it soon, there won';t be much point...

ThePFJInASleigh · 16/12/2008 13:05

If your not there for Christmas I probably wouldn't go to the bother of it.. maybe just stick up some lights and decorate the window?
OR you could decorate the Fiesta to look like a christmas tree and be festive wherever you go??!

ThePFJInASleigh · 16/12/2008 13:06

Oh and good news for Sam Soph

ThreeShipsComesailingin · 16/12/2008 13:22

LOL at fiesta plan! No, we've got to get a tree, as dd1 would be gutted otherwise. And we are having NY party, and its dd1's birthday so lots of reasons to be festive. I just better get on with it!

SophtheRedNosedReindeer · 16/12/2008 14:00

DH is such a big kid himself that we've had the tree and decs up since the 6th. Go on ThreeShips decorate your fiesta, dare you I've only got to get stocking pressies for DS1 & his main chrissie pressie from friends of ours (they give us the money we buy the pressie). Need to try & find another couple of things for Sam if I can. If not am not too fussed as he won't be aware anyway. We're in charge of veggies on Christmas Day so don't have to worry about any other food. So, even through my panic, I think we're good to go

scorpio1 · 16/12/2008 14:08

All ready, wrapped, sent, decorated everything here. TSC if you're not at home for xmas, i wouldn't bother. Or get a small tree that has fibre optic lights on.

ThreeShipsComesailingin · 16/12/2008 14:10

presents wrapped and sent and everything? fuck, fuck, fuck...

ThePFJInASleigh · 16/12/2008 14:14

TSC - We will endow you with Christmas super powers so you can get it all done by the weekend. Now all you need is a cape.

scorpio1 · 16/12/2008 14:15

DH has helped alot and is responsible for his own family's cards (well i get them and he has to write address and send), also he has wrapped the kids stuff this year.

ThePFJInASleigh · 16/12/2008 14:18

Wow Scorpio - so lucky.

My DP has been too busy or too tired to help me so all I have asked him to do is write out the gift tags on the presents from him to me. We both chose our christmas presents this year from eachother, and since I knew what I was getting I went ahead and wrapped it all as well.

OMaLittle · 16/12/2008 14:22

TSC, I'm here to make you feel better, have done NOWT!

Things OK here, big changes afoot with work etc. and we're a bit up in the air. E still up multiple times most nights and P has been poorly so also up lots (yawn), DH and I have had some really horrible arguments but really we have nothing to complain about. Girls are gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. E crawling all over the place, pulling up to standing and in the last few days has become really, really chatty.

Love to all.

When's the last day for getting Christmas cards in the post?

SophtheRedNosedReindeer · 16/12/2008 14:26

I'm starting the wrapping this week ... honest guvner! I tried to post my Christmas cards (I know, I know) yesterday but the Post Office was in the middle of a power cut. Am going to try and get them posted tomorrow. Have explained to most people that they may be getting New Year's cards I'm normally a lot more organised but I think I'll keep using Sam as an excuse for my disorganisation for a while longer
Scorpio - I'm with you, DH writes his own Xmas cards and wraps his own pressies. It's one of the things I definitely won't do. He also enjoys wrapping the kids pressies so that's one good thing.

ThreeShipsComesailingin · 16/12/2008 14:32

Hi Oma - how are you? Sorry to hear of sleeplessness and rows with DH, but the girls sound sweet!

Dunno about the post, hoping that it's not until tomorrow the end of the week. Although, of course, with my super powers, it won't matter

ThreeShipsComesailingin · 16/12/2008 14:34

and very about DHs helping out. Mine hasn't even managed to suggest what I should get for HIS family.

ThreeShipsComesailingin · 16/12/2008 14:36

Hi Oma Sorry to hear about sleep, and your DH. Hope its just tiredness that is making you row, iyswim.

SophtheRedNosedReindeer · 16/12/2008 14:39

OMA - sorry to hear that you & your DH are still arguing, but lovely to hear that your girls are giving you loads of pleasure. Sam loves to chat & blow raspberries

ThreeShipsComesailingin · 16/12/2008 14:39

Definitely not for me, Scorpio! - but if I was in my 20s and a size 8 - 10, then I might have considered it, yes!

scorpio1 · 16/12/2008 14:41

thing is, they are high waisted, i would wear with plain black vest tucked in them iyswim.

SophtheRedNosedReindeer · 16/12/2008 14:43

Scorpio - with your figure a resounding YES
