Yes Peachy i understand that. Think my english is coming out wrong, typing too fast!

Do you feel safe pfj?

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 14/11/2008 20:51

Tere's a state of sleep you know where he may actually have not relaised what he was doing fuly- I know that sounds trite bt DH has been known to have entire conversations with people when woken by the phone after a night shift and ave no recollection. Severe tiredness can also cause a massive worsening in depression.

Do keep an eye for the depression. Look n the SN threads; almost every Mum or Dad is on AD's, regardless of the dx or whether its a temporary, sevre, mild problem or not.

ThePFJ · 14/11/2008 20:53

no ad's. i always offer to spend time playing poker or having a game/cuddle and a film. never seems to happen. he says will do in a minute and just carries on what he's doing. then we both end up tired. one thing i do know is that we are both really tired atm. i've been ill loads lately and he's been working hard. jack sleeps through now though.

i feel safe... i know how to kick back if i have to. i just dont know how the person i'd do anything for could be so down my throat all the time. i cry so much now. bugger.

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 14/11/2008 20:53

There's possibly a new member coming along in a minute- make sure we say hi and dont miss her post!

scorpio1 · 14/11/2008 20:54

I hope you can sort something pfj, crying all the time is not nice . Does he know you're sad?

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 14/11/2008 20:55

It doesn't sound unsolvable PFJ, you ahve been rigt through the mill in so many ways lately and its no surprise he's sufering (and you) but you will need to rebuild things- Dha nd I were on the brink f divorce once, it didnt take that much to sort, but it was quality time which can be hard to get can't it?

ThePFJ · 14/11/2008 20:56

yeah he knows.. he comes cuddle me... but it doesnt make me feel better anymore like it used to.... crap.. need tissue

scorpio1 · 14/11/2008 20:56

ThePFJ · 14/11/2008 20:57

HopHopALady · 14/11/2008 20:58

Hello. Have been invited by PeacheyAndTheSucklingBas to join the April post natal group. Am new to Mumsnet (and, yes, you guessed it, being a Mum too) so not yet familiar with protocol, etiquette, acronyms, etc so bear with me. Have nearly 7 month old daughter, Phoebe, born 18th April, weighing 9lb 10oz. Yes. Ouch.

scorpio1 · 14/11/2008 21:01

Hi

I have an 18th baby too

DonDons · 14/11/2008 21:02

hi hophop - love the name of your dd.

pfj - hugs

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 14/11/2008 21:03

Hugs PFJ

Welcome Hophop.

Was she a natural birth then? Wow!

DS4 was 8lb 4oz but a fourth abby and didnt grow even an ounce for months so made up for it

scorpio1 · 14/11/2008 21:05

was ds4 your heaviest peachy? am a bit concerned about me next time...Have had 6lb 11, 8lb 1 and 8lb 9 (in that order)

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 14/11/2008 21:07

Yes

5lb 5 oz
6lb 11.5 oz
7lb 4oz

but remember ds4's birth was soooo ridiculously easy and I was school running the same day. yes it hurt but then I didnt have time for any pain relief so what do you expect?

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 14/11/2008 21:08

(Hophop you just have to pile in here LOL by the way- just a warning!)

HopHopALady · 14/11/2008 21:09

Yes, natural birth with only TENS for pain control. Think I went into shock afterwards!

scorpio1 · 14/11/2008 21:09

oooh yes i remember your birth! I had G&A with all of mine. I did the school run too, lol, felt like she was gonna fall out!

DonDons · 14/11/2008 21:09

god help me then - first baby 9lb.........

scorpio1 · 14/11/2008 21:10

hophop i have never used tens before, guessing its effective then!

(sorry am chatterbox)

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 14/11/2008 21:10

Wow Hophop- did you choose just tens? (mine was just too quick, although also home so not many options)

Dondons you're stuffed girl ha ha!

HopHopALady · 14/11/2008 21:14

TENS was OK, but more of a distraction for me than actually numbing any pain. Tried G&A but it made me feel sick (think I was too keen by that point and perhaps didn't take it properly!). Didn't want them to mess around with me too much so opted to stick with TENS as thought I didn't have too long to go.

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 14/11/2008 21:17

My dh wanted to build me a tens

I declined. Decisively!
