When you find somewhere that fits all your criteria Ellie, let me know & we'll come and be your new next door neighbours.

ThePFJ · 18/11/2008 09:24

hi everyone.. me and DP finally talked and things are better. Hopefully they will stay that way. It is a strain on our relationship atm with Jack.. but we both love him so much and things should improve.

jack has a bad chesty cough at the moment. He's had it for almost a week now and he's not actually managing to bring 'up' anything he's coughing. Am taking him to the doc today.

Anyone know of any medicines I could give him?

thanks for the hugs all. xxxxxxxxxxxxx

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 18/11/2008 09:36

Welcome little rascal (your name made me as my boys are in rascals carnival club).

food- I think they're all at an age now where they are learning about how to play us. As long as his weight is OK don't let it stress you. Give gim a range of choices (I do fingerfood lunch and mashed dinner). After that as long as he has access to milk he'll be OK (it's us mums that suffer LOL)

Ellie what are you after in a place? I'd recommend it here to anyone (South Wales. Eastern side), but where do you need to be near?

TheShipsCat · 18/11/2008 10:28

A's first day at nursery today. I've just left her.

Sorry to hear you've been having such a tough time PFJ, I reckon the first baby was really the hardest time in my life, so its bound to put a strain on things, especially with what you've been through. I'm sure it will get better - give it time, and talk as much as possible.

Sorry about Sam's appointment, Soph. Hope it gets sorted today.

Ellie - I heard Jersey was really tough to buy in (my family used to live there). How about somewhere on the south coast? A few friends have moved to Folkestone, not that nice but quite cheap and on the beach. Why not look in Kent/ East Sussex (or west Sussex, if you can afford)!

Welcome , little rascal. Have you tried alternate spoonfuls of something LO likes , like yoghurt or whatever, with whatever you want him to eat. It's mean, but effective...

VictorianSqualor · 18/11/2008 15:12

Hey people.
Welcome to our newbies,
Sorry to hear you're having shit PFJ
Ellie, Oxford is the place to be
ALEX IS FINALLY SLEEPING THROUGH!!!!!!

scorpio1 · 18/11/2008 18:55

Seriously, 3 bedroom houses rent at 650pcm on average, houses about £220k (if terraced is ok cheaper) on average.

Am ok here, so very tired and achey, sick and tummy bloated PMT time again, arrgghh. I'm so tired and worn out my feet ache.

VS - nice to see you

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 18/11/2008 19:58

LittleRascal · 18/11/2008 19:58

yea! he ate his dinner today! took some time but he did it! landed up taking him to my friend for both lunch and dinner and asked her to start feeding him to see if it was me! oops!!!- he did cry and faf (sp?) but she did a stare down and waited until he stopped then coaxed him to eat some...and he did!and then carried on eating with me Knitter- the extra spoon thing seemed to work, as did giving him a piece of pita bread and sneaking in a mouthful of egg as he tried to eat it! so thanks!
Also gave him teething gel before hand which may have worked! So day 1 went ok!!

thanks to the others for the other suggestions and the welcomes

scorpio1 · 18/11/2008 20:15

Hmmmm welsh cakes or pasties.....[ponders to self]

DH is a welshman so peachy you might have it, but then he is north wales, where he swears he will never return on account of the wetness and coldness.

Tell you what, whoever offers me the best deal gets me as a next door neighbour. Start the bidding war ladies.....

VS - am SO disappointed in you and Alex. I can't believe you are leaving my babies who don't sleep through club. A (very grudging and jealous) congratulations to you

DD woke at 4 am last night and awake for an hour noodling round. Gave drink water, quick pat, but no more. WHY DOES SHE DO THIS???? She's getting nothing out of it! I am going slowly mad....

Glad things bit better for you pfj x

EllieG · 19/11/2008 11:11
