Can someone please add "our babies" as my machine will probably blow up if I try it

Hi everyone. Good to hear everyone's news, sorry about the bad ones, TSC, Peachy. Hope Bas is ok tonight.

TSC, agree with everyone re new kitten - you can never replace him, but you can love another.

Starting work tomorrow, so I probably won't be on much from now on, but will try and catch up in the evenings.

S.

TSC sorry about your cat, I vowed never to get a cat again when we lost the 2nd one to the road (we got dogs instead) as its so devastating. Whether you decide to get another or not hope the hole starts to mend agian soon.

Good luck with starting work tomorrow Sal.

Thanks 4 all the name suggestions - what do you think?

SalLikesEggnogUnderMistletoe · 10/12/2008 20:14

Thanks, Denny. I love your name, I can't help repeating it all singing and dancing in my head. You do realise I'll now forever think of you as cheerful but smelly, don't you?

JingleBellsDennySmells · 10/12/2008 20:15

Thats ok, theres worse ways of being remembered

scorpio1 · 10/12/2008 20:15

Good luck Sal

SalLikesEggnogUnderMistletoe · 10/12/2008 20:17

Hehe Denny. True.

Thanks, Scorpio. It will feel so strange sitting in front of a computer not checking this thread!

JingleBellsDennySmells · 10/12/2008 20:26

I went into work today to sort out my return, go back on 21st Jan but only for 2 days a week till end of March. Since I left a new computer system is up and running so have to do 2 days training on that, our department involved in clinical trial so have 2 days training on that, plus all my mandatory training needs updating - so Ill start seeing patients........who knows when.

Tomorrow I have the joys of DD1's xmas play, thankfully DH is off so wont have to juggle DS and DD2 by myself.

I think it was VS who mentioned schools and money, we had a letter home today for a school trip to go and see a local castle for a 'donation' of £10. The letter started to follow the theme of fairytales and castles blah blah blah - they have been studying dinosaurs FFS, take them to a museum then Id happily donate 10 squid. Or take them in March where people havnt got the financial pressures of xmas. Sorry rant over.

DaidiNaNollag · 10/12/2008 22:43

Poor ds3 couldn't do his Christmas play today as he had diarrhoea and obviously couldn't go in to nursery. I don't think he's twigged that he missed it and I'm not going to mention it, anything for a quiet life!

ThePFJ · 10/12/2008 22:47

Awwww poor boy...hope he doesnt catch on.

So who else is on the TTC band wagon then?

ThePFJ · 10/12/2008 22:58

Can I assume its just me and our Scorpio then?

I have just been catching up a bit more on the previous posts. Ellie you are not a bad grand-daughter. You are fab for caring too much and worrying about everyone else, truth is you only have so much time in your day and only so much energy, and you have to put you and baby first. I haven't been asked about an 8 month check up, I know there is an immunisation due for Jack when he is 1 year old though from the HV.

Well.. night all.
xx

DaidiNaNollag · 10/12/2008 22:59

Not me and Peachy anyway! We have dh's who Have Had Enough!

ThePFJ · 10/12/2008 23:01

LOL ok then

LilMatchGirlInVictorianSqualor · 11/12/2008 08:28

Tis moi aussi, PFJ.

AND, I've just come on my 2nd period, almost exactly a month after the last so fingers crossed things are getting back to normal!

LilMatchGirlInVictorianSqualor · 11/12/2008 10:00

Arghhh.
FFS.

Just had DS1's school nativity and bled everywhere
I was there for an hour, a farking HOUR! Wearing the biggest tampon you can buy AND a night-time sanitary towel but even that wasn't enough protection.
God I hope my periods go back to normal and this isn't what it's going to be from now on.

PeachyBidsYouNadoligLlawen · 11/12/2008 10:20

mooncup vs.

coz ime it very well cou;d be te way, soprry (although n periods et for me so no 4 having good effect LOL)

scorpio1 · 11/12/2008 10:23

VS mine have got worse since each baby, i am now the same as you. I wore a fecking maternity pad and tampax super plus last time... I don't know what else to suggest as you are ttc as well so we sorta just have to let it be. Chuffed for you its going on a cycle mine is too

scorpio1 · 11/12/2008 10:23

I always find actual Tampax better than own brand. Just a thought.

PeachyBidsYouNadoligLlawen · 11/12/2008 10:25

reiterates mooncup

seriously

super tampon and night pad = 1 hour for me; mooncup and light pa = 4 hours or overnight

LilMatchGirlInVictorianSqualor · 11/12/2008 10:26

I've got lilets, they do a bigger size than tampax, but it's stupid.
THREE times I got up in the night because it woke me up.

scorpio1 · 11/12/2008 10:26

Peachy i cannot get my head round it....i know what it is and how it goes etc but will it ever overflow? or slip out?

scorpio1 · 11/12/2008 10:28

I know vs, its shit isnt it. I set my alarm for the first 3 nights , then im ok for a night after that. Mine are about 8 days too . When i had my early emergency scan with Mimi they found fibroids (would explain ALOT of my menstrual issues).

PeachyBidsYouNadoligLlawen · 11/12/2008 10:30

the cup causes a bit of suction so no it doesn't fall out, the leaflet tells you how to break suction

leaking unlikely and far less so than a tampon, but then you can wear a towel and not need a great mattress pad!

scorpio1 · 11/12/2008 10:35

Peachy/VS, how often are your babies bf? Mimi is about 3-4 times a day. And even then its not for long. 6am feed is the biggest. Have a feeling this is the beginning of the end, as she loves her beaker now

scorpio1 · 11/12/2008 10:36

we tend to do 6am, 1030am, 2pm and 6pm. Beaker at meals with either water or FF(at breakfast really - 3oz).

LilMatchGirlInVictorianSqualor · 11/12/2008 10:38

About the same here Scorpio, and DS doesn't even have a beaker or anything.
