I'm still here.
We're off to a birthday party now.
Actually had contractions last night though.... so maybe soon?

Thinking warm laboury thoughts EPPM

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/01/2009 12:45

Ooh - could turn out to be your own baby's b'day party!

VampiresWalkin · 24/01/2009 13:10

Argh for the lack of baby!

The crappy car from yesterday was cheaper than the others, but that was because of the high mileage, not the general crapness!

Going to look at a scenic later (armed with car seats) - they appear to have 3 full seats. It is on ebay, we're not sure what the reserve is, but figured if nothing else we get a good look round one, test drive etc, so we know if we need to cross it off the list. Guy says it is for sale elsewhere on the ebay listing, so just going to be honest and say we have £X.

forgotten everything else

Phoenix · 24/01/2009 14:24

Flame - Have a look on here It's no good for you to buy one from cos it's in Yorkshire and Manchester but it gives you all measurements/dimensions for all the cars so you can maybe work out what will fit you all in. It's where we've bought most of our cars from

for no baby EPPM.

ViciousLittleToad · 24/01/2009 14:26

ooh thanks

I am NOT going to see the scenic having read a horrible thread about em

Phoenix · 24/01/2009 17:39

My friend has a Grand Scenic and they've had nothing but problems with it.

Frizbe · 24/01/2009 19:59

Gah, drat what a bummer.

VampiresWalkin · 24/01/2009 20:03

The sales guy seemed really dodgy too - I was wary from the first phone call (no reason then, just a feeling), then it got worse as we met him etc!

EachPeachPearMum · 24/01/2009 20:05

Nah Phoenix- don't be silly!
nothing today.
Party was fab though- it's one of the little boys who is same age as DD- so I got to catch up with all my original post-natal group, most of whom I've not seen since going back to work. We had a great time, and DD loved it!

She has had a great day too- loads of fun and laughter, and went to bed really nicely tonight (thank goodness).

Going to watch some more House now I think, if I can prise DH away from his keyboard (in fairness he is working)

I have to agree- it doesn't look broken does it?
They don't actually say anything about it in that ad though, do they? How can they sell it for that much if it don't work???
And why were you a vicious little toad my dear?

VampiresWalkin · 24/01/2009 20:09

I found it in my list of names when I was namechanging earlier. I can't remember why I was it originally - I pissed someone off and they called me it iirc.

He kept telling me on the phone about the high mileage (hence the price) and how clean the inside was. got there and it may well have been clean, but it had cigarette burns, beaten up bits and the protective bit missing off one of the seat moving things so was actually a big metal spike with an elastic band round it! It had various scrapes on the outside (not visible in that pic), and then when we started it there was some warning message (forgotten what) and a little alarm sounded when indicating (assuming that isn't normal?!?!) - we asked about the warning and to start with "It came on this morning, we don't know why as when connected to the computer it says the car doesn't have one of those" and then turned into "its been there about five months"
