It is searchable... under best sellers. But yup, "nursing and teething" means you just read "nursing".

Will tell her

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/01/2009 11:33

Ask her why they aren't suitable under 6 months as well then will you?

VampiresWalkin · 21/01/2009 11:34

I've lost a box of bloody soapnuts.

Seriously?? Teething necklaces that teething age children can't use?!!?!

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/01/2009 11:37

Precisely .

VampiresWalkin · 21/01/2009 11:39

Oooooooooooh, tis the baby ones rather than the adult ones. I am assuming because you don't normally want something strangleable round a baby's neck!

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/01/2009 11:44

But they are designed for babies! You sayin I should put an adult one on him?!

VampiresWalkin · 21/01/2009 11:48

Noooooooo! I assumed that the adult ones are for adults to wear and the child chew on (sort of a long one). I can't imagine any necklace being designed for children under 6 months that would pass health and safety tests

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/01/2009 11:48

teething bracelet on here too - would that work just as well? Have no idea whether position matters. Now need to measure ds' neck, as all these diff lengths mean nothing to me.

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/01/2009 11:49

They aren't supposed to chew on them at all!

VampiresWalkin · 21/01/2009 11:53

I had it in my head that the amber did its thing and they could suck too iyswim. Told ya I hadn't used them :p

EachPeachPearMum · 21/01/2009 12:00

I understood that they weren't for chewing- but that the 'power of amber' (or whatever) would do the trick.... you can see why I didn't get one.

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/01/2009 17:19

OMG - I won the TV/DVD thingy here!

VampiresWalkin · 21/01/2009 18:25

EachPeachPearMum · 21/01/2009 20:10

Yay- I never enter anything that requires you to write something... too lazy!

Jas · 21/01/2009 20:43

csws

My friend had one of those necklaces for her ds. He wore it until he was about three.
It had no noticable effect on anything, but looked nice

I've spent the revening at Ikea, after dp spent all afternoon there getting bathroomy stuff, only to find he couldn't pay with my credit card

I had to drive his old van (for the first time), and am exhausted now. The only other alternative was going tomorrow and missing toddler group.

Glad ds is better Flame .
How is your little one PHOENIX?

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/01/2009 21:05

God I haven't written anything! I've just filled in a few of the stickied surveys lately, which require a few ticks in boxes. No idea which one I won it for.

Oh bugger, ds awake again.

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/01/2009 21:15

Tis ok. He resettled just as I was about to open the door.

Frizbe · 21/01/2009 21:53

that's great CSWS! Glad you seem to have dd sorted ish too.

EPPM I had lots of downwards pressure with both of them, I also remember dd1 used to punch me for hours at a time in a boxing manner.....get bouncing on your ball if you have one, might help drag the little one out, lots of nice birthing thoughts heading your way.

Macca, well said MRM CORE! may I suggest we all get our tums out at CSWS's to prove a point to you? (or is that just me then?) MRM I'll have a think about summer fayres n get back to you tomorrow.

Flame {{{hugs}}} for the croup, hope he's better soon, have you gotten more drugs for you yet?

Phoenix, your more teary than usual I reckon due to pregnancy hormones and as has been said, if ds isn't going every day, he may be getting a tad more upset than he needs to and he does enjoy it whilst he's there, so that's surely good {{{hugs}}}}

Jas, I did Ikea today too! have half price bookcase for dd1's new room and a new trojfast (SP) for it too

Went to school for a 'Maths' evening tonight, sat on the benches in hall waiting for it all to start, turned to talk to dd1 on one side and dd2 manages to throw herself backwards on the otherside 10 mins with an ice pack on her head in the staff room, ouch She's ok now though, perked up once she realised she could play with the sand pit, and assorted other things in reception, whilst dd1 and I tackled various problems. It's not been an auspicous day for parenting here, dd1 tried to step in front of a car earlier too..... I was just picking dd2 up, as busy road to cross, said to dd1 we'll just go (and never got to say after the next white car) as I had to scream and yank her backwards with my free arm dozey daughter looks at me in alarm and says, you said go que 5 min roadside lecture about listening to mummy and looking before steping into road.....so thankful I managed to yank her back, she was about 2cm max off the side of a silver mercedes, really doesn't bare thinking about.

mustrunmore · 22/01/2009 07:34

csws... dont suppose you wanna swop for a massage/£100 of products/cream tea that I still havent got round to claiming?!

Friz, you can get your belly out love, but you're not seeing mine! I'd like to see for comparison, withour actually having to embarrass myself Having a change has done we a world of good tho, using the bar for squats the other day

Stlii cant get over macca... "if I put on 26 inch jeans my belly hangs over..". I couldnt fit a thigh through that , let alone do them up round my waist

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/01/2009 08:13

Oh yes mrm, cause cream tea is great for me - I don't drink tea and can't have cream!
Dh pointed out last night that the TV in our bedroom isn't HD ready, so won't work once the analogue signals are switched off, so it will prob be used to replace that one, which in time might go in the playroom to watch dvds on.

Jas - did you/dp really think that he'd be able to pay with your card?

Tired this morning. Ds just not settling well after around 4am (and waking too often before that of course!), so I feel like I've done half a day by proper getting up time. He of course went back to sleep properly 15 mins before dd got up, so I've come down with her whilst he sleeps soundly upstairs .

EPPM - could you please be sure to sign in at least first thing, lunchtime, teatime and evening, so that we know that you aren't (or are!) in labour.

Lovely news from one of my best friends (dd's godmother) last night. She got married last July, and is now 12 weeks pregnant, due 2 days after my b'day in August. Am so happy for her!

Phoenix · 22/01/2009 09:59

I just took ds to nursery and i didn't cry one little bit even though he did, lots . I'm quite proud of myself. I really think he's playing me so by him seeing me not crying might make him think it's pointless him crying anymore

I missed a parcel while i was out though (maternity clothes) so i'll have to trail into town to the sorting office tomorrow

I take it Master Peach didn't make an appearance on his due date then? Hope he comes before dd's birthday EPPM

csws. I never win anything.

Glad ds is better Flame. My ds was only croupy for a few days but wasn't actually ill.

EachPeachPearMum · 22/01/2009 11:13

Just for CSWS- Well- this is 'first thing' for us.... dd has been whining and faffing all morning, so I have just got back from dropping her at nursery

Phoenix- glad your drop-off went better... loving the name 'Master Peach'! Might actually have to use that

I am off to do grocery shopping now- all the stuff I had in keeps getting eaten

EachPeachPearMum · 22/01/2009 11:14

Now- what could I swap mrm for a massage?

VampiresWalkin · 22/01/2009 11:53

so not only do you refuse to take me for said massage, you're now trying to swap it

Will reply to the rest later, gotta feed dude

mustrunmore · 22/01/2009 11:58

didnt refuse to take you, just that neighbour was sittin here when I won it! Either of you can have it , depends who can be bothered to go to Putney! Was gonna give the products to pg friend, but she is 29weeks now, so will have dropped before I get organised!

What you got to swop EPPM?
