Here we go. I was too sick, sleepy and preoccupied with my weight to notice the old thread running out

Seansgirlthesequel · 23/05/2008 10:21

Sorry Andi

andiem · 23/05/2008 10:24

I am waitng for ds2 to wake up so we can go out for lunch

Seansgirlthesequel · 23/05/2008 10:25

I know someone who has lost 4.5 stone (another 3 to go) on sw, and someone who has lost 3.5 stone on ww and is at goal and someone who lost 4 stone on rosemary conley quite a few years ago (but then finding out her husband had been having an affair for 15 years was an incentive) I suppose what I'm waffling about is that they all work if you stick to them properly. Which I don't.

lackaDAISYcal · 23/05/2008 10:25

I'm doing the MS diet . Have lost 10lbs according to the scales, but must be more than that as there is bound to be some baby weight in there too. My muffin top has nearly gone and my bingo wings are less wobbly. DH says he noticies it in my face as well....now I just need to work on my thighs . fury your diet sounds pretty tough going. I couldn't do lighter life or slimfast; the very thought of a strawberry or chocolate milkshake for brekkie has me running to the loo. although I dod have strawberries and cream for breakfast this morning.

had a lovely few days catching up with my mad hippy friend as she is halfway around her round the world trip . they have been to Easter Island, peru, patagonia, brazil, north africa, overland through europe to here....then after GB they are going to Russia, across the trans-siberian express and into China and Mongolia before heading back to Oz. Wish it was me!

Saw the MW yesterday and heard the baby's heartbeat . I was having a real panic attack and nightmares that she couldn't find a HB and I had to go for a scan etc...scary stuff. My iron count os pretty low though so am on iron tablets. And I thought I was knackered because of hectic life and being pregnant....hey ho!

School holidays have begun here as it's a training day today. DS is driving me potty already as it's his birthday party tonight and he is giddy as a kipper. I suppose I need to do some entertaining of him, but I'm so tired I just can't be bothered.

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 23/05/2008 10:29

That's great about the HB daisy.

I am currently eating M&S white and milk chocolate covered summer fruits

lackaDAISYcal · 23/05/2008 10:30

bumper, are you at your Dad's?

can you do any other day than today? We could come and meet you somewhere if you like?

Seansgirlthesequel · 23/05/2008 10:31

I know this is completely random bit of trivia but it is the kind of thing you read in Take a Break. My Aunties Father died recently. He was a well respected GP, had a nice house, wife and three girls, all in their 50/60s with kids/grandkids. At the funeral another woman with three kids turned up claiming that she was his 2nd wife (not divorced) and that they had another house (which he had mortgage on) only 10 miles down the road, he had a complete set of different clothes, possessions, friends etc. He supposedly used go and visit his family on a regualr basis...... but obviously had another double life which neither family knew about!

lackaDAISYcal · 23/05/2008 10:32

oh, and hello btw

I'm trying to suppress the urge to go and weed the front garden. We have a dandelion field out there, all with their seeds ready to scatter elsewhere in the garden.

Seansgirlthesequel · 23/05/2008 10:34

Hi Daisy, good news on the heartbeat it is so lovely to hear and aso reassuring.

Seansgirlthesequel · 23/05/2008 10:35

Right, away with me must not get sucked in again.... must go and do. Tell me to piss off if I come back before 7pm... oh DS gone back to sleep

lackaDAISYcal · 23/05/2008 10:35

Hi SG.

That story is . How is your Aunt taking it? The amount of sorting out that will need to be done will be horrendous. Will this woman have any claim to his estate? she might not, but presumably the other children will. and did the 2nd family know about the first one?

sorry, just being nosy

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 23/05/2008 10:48

SG that's

Daisy we are going back Sunday and will be spending the day with my dad tomorrow, it's a shame as we are so near!

Seansgirlthesequel · 23/05/2008 10:56

Hi, just a quick sneak back, i've been updating my pics. Dont know about the estate. My Aunt is putting on brave face, mainly for her Mother he is understandably distraught. No, the second family didn't know either. I never met him but DM said he was a lovely cheerful scottish gentelman. Seriously gotta go, as now DH is going to be late today when he was supposed be back early to help me out! (grrr...)

foxythesnowfox · 23/05/2008 12:02

gorgeous pics SG!

HellHathNoFury · 23/05/2008 12:12

pics?

lackaDAISYcal · 23/05/2008 12:51

that's a shame bumper, we could have met on sunday, but it's DSs birthday and we are going fishing

off to look at SGs pics.....

lackaDAISYcal · 23/05/2008 13:12

lovely pics SG...you look very fab and glam there.

DS looks a right wee cheeky monkey.

I've been gardening today. Have planted runner beans, dwarf french beans, beetroot and carrot. Still have some perpetual spinach, swiss chard, different type of carrots and some peas to plant out. Am determined to have a nice veg bed this summer.

Sputnik · 23/05/2008 13:34

Well done for getting back with the dieting Fury. I have been stuck at the same weight for ages, but got exercising again this week so hopefully a bit more will shift

Daisy, good news with the heartbeat

Strange tale SG. I had a great great (great?) grandfather with 2 families. At a certain point he decided to move to Australia, and when his official wife didn't fancy it he took his mistress and their children instead.

DD seems to be using echolocation to get around. she's pottering around clicking her tongue

Sputnik · 23/05/2008 14:39

Bumper, do you think she could teach Baby Sputnik? He seems to have a strong attraction to very small spaces (eg under desk), then gets stuck.

Maybe he likes under the desk because that's were all the tiny chewable bits of paper hang out.

RiaButterflew · 23/05/2008 16:04

Hi all, sorry I buggered off last night.

thanks for the diet words SG & everyone, I actually like calorie counting, but I don't think I can add up as far as I would need to, I have been to the supermarket to stock up on SW friendly stuff and will give it another go. I HATE the way dieting takes over your life but something has to be done.

I am tired. DH has been off today and the house is back to it's usual state.

DS1 has just brought home his term report and it's fecking dreadful. DH can go to bloody parents eveing on his own.

RiaButterflew · 23/05/2008 16:09

I supposed I'd better go and cook something for the DCs, and maybe unpackage my new breadmaker and find out how it works...

Enjoy the b'day party daisy.

foxythesnowfox · 23/05/2008 16:27

How exciting Ria! Which one did you get?

Good luck with the party Daisy!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/05/2008 16:57

Oh dear, the jamlet just slowly, and very deliberately, poked the cat, most precisely in the arse

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/05/2008 17:14

and has now tipped over nearly a pint of blackcurrant squash I'd forgotten that I'd put on the floor
