Here we go. I was too sick, sleepy and preoccupied with my weight to notice the old thread running out

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
lackaDAISYcal · 15/05/2008 19:48

i didn't look at the details norty, just at the ball itself. It's not me selling it, honestly

lackaDAISYcal · 15/05/2008 19:48

oooh, a dolled up night out

have a good one jbm

LittleMissNorty · 15/05/2008 19:52

Have a great time JBM

Off for my boring pasta now.....

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 15/05/2008 20:09

Thanks JBM, have a fab time!

Izzybel · 15/05/2008 20:23

Hey! Back again!
Bumper, please please don't feel like you're the only one. I lose it all the time, to the point where DP tells me to go away and calm down!
I am a short tempered Virgo, JBM! (Very of your dolled up night out btw)
Glad you're not worrying about the crawling anymore, Jammy! What you say about her just toddling off on her own is highly likely Flippin' GPs! They spend all that time in medical school and don't know nowt!

Hi to everyone else!

Izzybel · 15/05/2008 20:25

Ooh, I know what you mean about being able to do things now that you couldn't do before. My friend and I went on the see-saw the other day with our babies in front of us, but enjoyed it a lot more than they did!

Izzybel · 15/05/2008 20:26

I must sound ridiculous went down the slide with her on my knee aswell!

Izzybel · 15/05/2008 20:27

DD, I mean, not my friend.

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 15/05/2008 20:31

I am a feisty, bossy Aries!

Izzybel · 15/05/2008 20:33

I wished I could be more bossy and feisty, but unfortunately I am neither. Although I do a fair bit of nagging to DP!

lackaDAISYcal · 15/05/2008 20:36

I'm aquarius, with libra ascendant in my chart so have lots of libran traits and read both horoscopes

I had my chart "done" by a (not very well known to me) work colleague a few years ago; she was scarily spot on!

Izzybel · 15/05/2008 20:41

I never read horoscopes as I never believe them, but I have all the traits that a Virgo is supposed to have

hi mhc.....have you moved now then? I was wondering where you had got to, but I guess you've been a bit busy

DD isn't convinced by slides at all, but she likes climbing the steps. she is getting pretty good at stairs and can get to the top of ours in less than 20 seconds.

Done with work now for the week (2 hours of reading tonight as internet connection to work not working, so quite dull, but informative)

Daisy, she's got one of these but unfortunately worked out straight away how to make it play music without actually needing to make it roll. So she just sits there and plays with it. That sums up my diagnosis actually, lazy and clever enough to get away with it. Bit like her father now I think of it! And I keep putting things a bit out of reach etc to try to encourage her, but she just st-r-et-ch-e-s and leans over until she gets it, or gives up and plays with something (anything!) else instead. Too much bother to move to get it? Oh I'll just play with this microscpic bit of dirt on the carpet that nobody else knows is there instead!

MCH, hope you get broadband and come back properly soon!

Bumper, I think it's a case of adapting (yes, it does take time, and the little buggers darlings are constantly changing of course which doesn't amke it any easier) your plans eg make one recipe not 3, do half an hour's gardening (OK bad example for the flat dweller) instead of the whole hour. Frustrating though at times.

Well I'm done in and the ultra large glass of Baileys I just had has just finished me off I think. Swimming with the jamlet tomorrow morning, and possibly the park with friends (and maybe a friend of a friend and her new born DD) in the afternoon, depending on the weather.

justbeme · 16/05/2008 12:54

Blimey, I thought the thread had run out for a minute!!

RiaButterflew · 16/05/2008 13:55

I types a post earlier but baggins deleted it.

I am clearing up the mess my dad and DH made yesterday putting up blinds in the conservatory and drilling holes in the wall for TV cablea and I am BORED BORED BORED. DH has gone out for an interview and he is going to apply to be a lecturer

I want some chocolate cake, or lemon meringe pie or a big slice of apple pie and cream in a nice cafe somewhere. I dont want to be stuck in my grotty house.

I have found shirts for the boys on the next website, so will be going on a pilgrimage tomorrow. I just hope DS2 will fit into the age 5 one as it's a different colour to the older boys one.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/05/2008 14:13

I'll come to the cafe with you Ria!!

My legs ache. I took the jamlet swimming this morning. Obviously I didn't do any actual swimming as I was holding her all the time, so no aerobic exercise, but 20 mins walking up and down the pool has done something to my thigh muscles!

RiaButterflew · 16/05/2008 15:04

I am too fat for swimming

I have washed 5 of the windows, cleaned the windowsill and done approx 1/4 of the floor. baggins won't sleep and ds2 can't entertain himself. I just have no energy for today. sorry for moaning

Last night we went to collect something from my sis before tea and when we got back - 6.15ish - the little girl from down the street was more or less sat on our doorstep waiting for us to get back as if we shouldn't have dared go out without her permission! No doubt she will be round tonight. Last week she left poo in my bathroom sink

It is the last day of the SATs today - yippee!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/05/2008 15:58

I'm probably too fat but I have very little shame

That's a nice present from that little girl!

lackaDAISYcal · 16/05/2008 16:24

It has been v v quiet on here today.

I popped in earlier but there was no-one about and I didn't want to be talking to myself.........again

ria, your neighbour's DD sounds delightful. Do they not have toilets in her house?

Jammy, sounds like the jamlet just likes to conserve energy. she'll get it eventually and then you will be cursing her for getting into everything. And just think, you'll be able to tell her all about this in a parental embarrasingly cringy fashion when she is older. Be sure to get some video footage

lackaDAISYcal · 16/05/2008 19:15

Where is everybody?????

foxythesnowfox · 16/05/2008 19:20

I'm around

how are you doing Daisy?

lackaDAISYcal · 16/05/2008 19:25

I'm positively blooming

have felt brilliant for the last few days and was told I looked fab the other day. I'm back in proper underwired bras so I think that might have something to do with it!

how are you and yours? Are you still suffering from the lurgy?
