Here we go. I was too sick, sleepy and preoccupied with my weight to notice the old thread running out

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/05/2008 08:34

at how we all jump to conclusions at the mention of anyone being sick

RiaButterflew · 14/05/2008 09:27

jbm, it really silly that you have to be an adult before you realise how pointless peer pressure is.

baggins looks like a proper little boy today. He is thinking about taking a step but changes his mind at the last minute.

lackaDAISYcal · 14/05/2008 09:59

jbm....you must be quite mad about it. hopefully she will get fed up with it soon enough and let it heal over. 13 does seem very young and I can't believe her Dad gave in to her; normally Dads are pretty strict about these things (well mine was).

It's amazing how much they have changed recently Ria...DD looks like a proper little girl as well. I think summer shorts etc make them look older. Fury has put some photos on FB of her DS and he looks soooooo grown up.

RiaButterflew · 14/05/2008 10:03

there was a tiny new baby at nursery this morning... how time flies.

lackaDAISYcal · 14/05/2008 10:25

DD has done nothing but whinge and cry this morning; I don't know what's up with her. she is drooly so has had teething granules and bonjela but they haven't made any difference. she wants everything she isn't allowed (remotes, phones, laptop) and is getting really upset that she can't have them. she is now having a tantrum and is rolling around on the floor howling because I took the pack of baby wipes from her.

and I've had hardly any sleep for the last two nights and my headache is back today so not feeling up to dealing with it at all......

foxythesnowfox · 14/05/2008 11:29

Urggghhh.

morning ladies. have tummy bug. DS1 off with it too. Vommed 7 times last night, feel like shite. DP had to take day off work.

LOL at am I PG! No (though for some reason my libido has returned - with a vengence!)

DD1 had it the other night, poor thing threw up in her bed then tried to clean it up with her muslin cloth, and went back to sleep. DS also didn't wake up. Poor mites. Why it had to be a night when it was spag bol for tea, I don't know.

JBM - Annobal gave me her Panasonic breadmaker when she left. I've bought one loaf of bread since then (today as DP is incompetent at slicing). I like it a lot, and you can cut back on the salt. I was worried I'd eat loads, but I eat less as the slices are bigger.

Sorry you are feeling like a bag of shite too Daisy, but am delighted and a bit of that wiggly baby in there! Did you find out the sex in the end?

foxythesnowfox · 14/05/2008 11:30

give her a damp flannel instead of the baby wipes Daisy

lackaDAISYcal · 14/05/2008 11:42

not yet foxy on the sex...too early at scan as I was only 11 weeks.

a damp cloth just won't sut the mustard...she likes to suck the wipes and then shred them in her oh so very large and sharp front teeth.

sorry you're all feeling grim down there . they never throw up when they've had macaroni cheese, it's always something orange and staining...tis the first law of sick [wink. Bless DD1 at trying to clear it up herself though. I hope you're all feeling better soon.

I'm procratinating here. I should be tidying up, but DD has gone for her nap and I'm enjoying the P&Q for a bit.

lackaDAISYcal · 14/05/2008 11:42

gawd my typing is shite!

foxythesnowfox · 14/05/2008 11:46

have a rest Daisy, you got to get them while you can.

How many weeks are you now?

lackaDAISYcal · 14/05/2008 11:53

15 weeks tomorrow

that's nearly halfway there!!!!!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/05/2008 11:54

Hello!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/05/2008 11:55

Sorry to hear about sickness Foxy

Seansgirlthesequel · 14/05/2008 12:03

Seansgirlthesequel · 14/05/2008 12:06

Foxy, totally sympathise on the tummy bug, its the worst illness ever I think. However, when I get it, I always comfort myself with thinking about how lbs of lost!! How sad am i??

Seansgirlthesequel · 14/05/2008 12:06

Sorry about rubbish typing - how many lbs i've lost

Seansgirlthesequel · 14/05/2008 12:08

OH God, gotta go DS having a ripping time with my Next Directory - thinks its hilarious! DH probably put him up to it! DS seems very destructive compared to DD thats the 6th book this week he has ripped

foxythesnowfox · 14/05/2008 13:20

LOL SG! I started WW again this week. I was when I put on a pair of jeans which I thought would be massive on me - and they were tight! Bit of a wake up call. Don't think this is what they meant by their 'Kick Start' though

foxythesnowfox · 14/05/2008 13:50

DS2 now home as well. Teacher called and said he had a temp of over 100.

She needs a new thermometer. He immediately started to kick a football. And no sign of any temp.

lackaDAISYcal · 14/05/2008 14:56

that sounds like an amazing recovery foxy!

are you feeling better?

foxythesnowfox · 14/05/2008 15:39

nah, feel shocking.

Here's a good deal, £6 for 6 issues of Marie Claire, plus £42 worth of Aveda products. No tie in, but remember to cancel after month 5. 0845 676 7778, Code : 552Z

And Office have clearance shoes for as little as a fiver. Where's Bumper?

lackaDAISYcal · 14/05/2008 15:43

that's worth it for the Aveeda products alone, but isn't Marie Claire a bit.....well......young for us oldies? I tend to buy Woman and Home these days, or even Good Housekeeping

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/05/2008 15:44

I may now be labelled as a pikey mum locally. We went to the library. The jamlet dropped her sunhat on the way there. I saw it on the floor outside the shops on the way back. As we walked past I swooped down, picked it up and plonked it back on her head all in one move. As we walked on I realised I might look like a woman who just picks up stuff at random of the floor and gives it ot her kids

foxythesnowfox · 14/05/2008 15:45

oh no Daisy! Don't say that

I like good housekeeping too, but they never do good deals.

I draw the line at Prima.

foxythesnowfox · 14/05/2008 15:45

LOL Jammy - don't give it a second thought
