Loved the pics of Sammy pigeon!!!

C has been an absolute star here, out til 9/10 every night eating all sorts with us ¡ garlic mushrooms, tapas, ice cream....been good as gold!!

Hope everything is ok with you - missing you too mwah mwah

AngeG · 22/04/2008 17:04

Glad you're having a good time GMM

I've tried giving Izzy a spoon NL the food goes just about everywhere but her mouth!!

NorthernLurker · 22/04/2008 17:07

I can't remember what age they're supposed to use a spoon etc - it definately isn't this age!

Right I´m off now - gotta go and get showed and changed to head to the uber posh marina for an evening drink and perhaps a nice itlian meal

Luce - I´ll give you a shout when I am home. xxx

AngeG · 22/04/2008 17:15

Sorry I didn't make myself clear, she will not let me feed her with a spoon unless it's readybrek and then we have a fight over the first couple of spoons. I'm not trying to make her spoon feed herself...yet

She's pretty good at managing finger foods although a lot still ends up on the floor. I just feel at a loss as I could get so much more into her if she would let me feed her with a spoon.

Luce - She used to be like S and would be easily distracted if I gave her a spoon and pot to play with but now she's just being a pain.

AngeG · 22/04/2008 17:21

Forgot to say she'll happily eat the cat's biscuits...cos they are finger food!1

Thanks Luce It is indeed destoying me atm. Feel like I'm throwing more food away than she's eating Hope it's just a phase

Off out now.

Hope everyone has great evenings. xx

cazboldy · 22/04/2008 18:04

Luce - lovely cakes, and lovely S !

GM - glad you are having a lovely time (although the weather has been lovely here today too )

Ange - Molly has a bf / bottle of milk when she first wakes up - depending on the time (although the bf are definitely happening less now )

A bowl of readybrek / 1 weetabix

a biscuit or some toast when we get in from doing the school run (although she mostly just uses it to make a mess!) and some juice.

Lunch - a sandwich (cheese, egg, jam etc) some of charlie's skips or wotsits, a banana or a yoghurt
and some juice

she has a bottle of milk at about half 4 while I am doing the ponies.

Dinner - some of whatever we have

A bottle at bedtime

StealthPolarBear · 22/04/2008 18:04

same ange
toast for breakfast (one slice)
cheese spread sandwich / salad bits / raisins / breadsticks etc for lunch
turkey twizzlers, carrot, baby corn, brocolli for tea
porrige before bed

Varies wildly from day to day as to how much he ate, but if I was confident he was eating half I'd be happy!
Recently trying to feed him up after D&V, not saying you need to but if you want to:

-if I look at him and he's not eating I hand him a breadstick / biscuit
-cream in porrige
-fromage frais after every meal

StealthPolarBear · 22/04/2008 18:05

bfs depened on whether I'm at work, if I am morning (i.e. 4am-6.30am!!!) when I get back and bedtime. If I'm off maybe one or two more during the day

StealthPolarBear · 22/04/2008 18:22

t has finally started pointing at interesting things (birds, toys etc) now hes started he won't stop

Eddas · 22/04/2008 18:34

sounds very nice gmm

Ds' daily food routine is something along the lines of....

on waking - 8/9oz bottle milk
about an hour later - 2 weetabix
lunchtime - toast(normally doesn't eat much of it) banana/raisins/yogurt x 2, crips rice cakes, maybe some choc buttons/jaffa cake
Dinner - normally a jar of food but trying to give him whatever we're having now and then a fruit pot or yogurt and a biscuit
before bed - 8/9oz bottle of milk

I still spoon feed but apparently he won't let sil feed him little monkey, so she just gives him his bowl of food and a spoon. he pretty much chucks the spoon and feeds himself with his hands. she just gives him whatever they are eating for his dinner.

cazboldy · 22/04/2008 18:34

Molly has learned to say "no"

why do they always learn that before yes?

she has been saying it all day....

if Charlie touches something she has, when i wipe her face, when I put her in the car.......

she does a reallly serious frown too and looks very funny

Eddas · 22/04/2008 18:37

it's so cute now they're starting to notice things.

Caz, bless little M, wonder where she's picked up the frowing 'no'

Ds can only say dada and nana and they definately mean the right things. not bothered at all that he doesn't say mama

Eddas · 22/04/2008 18:38

actually that's a bit of a lie as he has said mama before.... when he hurt himself and was crying mama, how cute is that, i was very chuffed (he hadn't hurt himself too badly by the way, but it was cute!)

Eddas · 22/04/2008 19:49

oh no, hope J's ok oooggs

WestCountryLass · 22/04/2008 20:36

Hope Oooggs and J are OK

Leo eats:

Breakfast: Crunchy bran (I have tried him on baby cereal/ Weetabix etc but he wants what I am eating so he has this), a bit of a brioche roll.

Lunch: Last nights left overs or sanwiches, grapes, raisins, ham etc.

Tea: What we are having, so tonight pork casserole.

He doesn't like fromage frais, only likes cherry Activia which is fat free (???) so he only has a dessert if we have people round as I don't make them otherwise.

Snacks are bits of cheese, breadsticks, rice cakes, organix crisps, humzingers etc. He has biscuits at playgroup.

WestCountryLass · 22/04/2008 20:37

Oh and he is still BFing and not keen on sippy cups (he also chews the teats on bottles). Is anyone else still BFing?

NorthernLurker · 22/04/2008 21:09

Poor J, poor Oooggs! Hope everything is ok.

WCL - I'm still breastfeeding morning and evening. B is now quite acceptinng of a tommee tippee cup with a soft spout - but she still doesn't drink masses.
