dippy
my plan for next week is to take Monday pm off work and come across for a few hours Mon pm, Tues pm and all day Weds, if that's ok with you? If not please say, I don't want to annoy you too much

CaptainDippy · 22/04/2008 11:18

Hi POTC Monday PM should be ok - we're leaving early(ish) Monday morning - so should be there by lunchtime-ish, I guess - I'll give you progress reports Would prefer to do our own thing tues pm if that is ok!!? Wed all day would be fab though ..... we'll have to do lots of exciting and special things for Phoebe and Joe's Birthday celebrations. We're definitely going to have a cake and party food and stuff, I think .... just play it by ear, I guess. Yey!

mammyjo · 22/04/2008 11:19

Morning all. Luce, glad things are calmer now! It is nice to have a bit of quiet back in my house with ds back to school, he was off all last week with the same cold that we have all had.

Pesha, 4 bed house sounds perfect for you. >> that they view and love your house

Oooggs, I am amazed that the tax credit scheme doesnt give an allowance for twins. Sums up the madness of the goverment I think

PillockOfTheCommunity · 22/04/2008 11:22

sounds good to me

CaptainDippy · 22/04/2008 11:32

Super

NorthernLurker · 22/04/2008 11:41

Hi all

Lovely day here - the girls have gone to school in thick jumpers but no coats! They were very excited by this
I've just spoken to our estate agent and she had spoken to our buyer and everything is still ok for moving - just wish everyone would get a move on! (move on - ha ha - geddit? )All this talk of tax credits has reminded me - I'd better ring them and give them our new childcare costs versus income figures. Last year was so nice and simple - what are the odds they make a mess of it?

CaptainDippy · 22/04/2008 11:56

You sound full of the joys of spring, NL

NorthernLurker · 22/04/2008 12:01

Yes I'm very bouncy like tigger today

Dd2 was fine to go to school so that's good as well.

Can anybody whose moved house give me a very rough idea of what they paid? Just rang a local firm and the rough figure he quoted was very, very low! Might post a request on the property topic as well. It's my second home over there atm (geddit I am so funny today )

CaptainDippy · 22/04/2008 12:01

Right, garden all finished! Weh ave a proper lawn and a proper vegetable patch Ooooh, I can take the girlies out to a garden centre and buy some seeds etc at the w/e .... ooooooh .... .....

P awake so need to chuck food into her and get off to nusery and then work ......

Buzzzzzzzz

NorthernLurker · 22/04/2008 12:06

That's brilliant! Well done all of you. Will the girls be having sunflowers? We've always really enjoyed growing them. Have a good time at work - hope they come across with your PAYE no

mamiguay · 22/04/2008 12:20

hello! I can't believe you are all on page 7 of a new thread already! Happy birthday to all the babies I've missed hope you all had a wonderful day.

Luce - any chance of photos of your cupcakes? Am doing a trial run tonight re. icing and think I know what I am doing but maybe not

WO loved your cake.. really lovely, did you use ready to roll icing? I've never used it but it looks like fun

I can't even think if we have news, I don't think so, just really busy, feels like neither of us stop all day and we're like ships in the night really, 30mins in the morning and 30 mins at night is about all we see each other. Only another month or so and dh will have finished school til October so really looking forward to more time together. As an indication, the nursery asked us for a photo for the 3 of us to put on the wall and the last one I have of us all together is Christmas!!!

Money, as it seems to be for a few of us, is a continuing issue.. we've had a fine through for a mistake on a tax return a couple of years ago. What a year it's been for unexpected expenses so far. Is this life with children??

I think that's it.. more or the same and nothing interesting, will try and pop in again tomorrow lunch - seems to be my MN slot now!

Runny - please don't forget to get in touch when you come out, I would so love to meet up with you if you have spare time.

NorthernLurker · 22/04/2008 12:26

Mamiguay - good to 'see' you - what a pita about the tax

cazboldy · 22/04/2008 13:02

Oh dear Luce - that sounds grim. Not to sound self-centred but I wonder how far south it will be felt? Hope GMM and family have some in the tank for when they get back from thei holiday!

NL last year (Nov) we paid £300 for removals, and that was higher than it should hvae been as the &*^%$%$ sellers kept them hanging around for a few hours after exchange! So should have been £200. Was £50/hr anyway, inc vat.
hi everyone, at work so just a quickie

StealthPolarBear · 22/04/2008 13:24

Nice to see you Pesha, we've been missing you!

Thanks SPB - he said £300. I had been budgeting at a £1000 so feel a bit daft now!

StealthPolarBear · 22/04/2008 13:34

me too - we counted on £1000 as well - was a nice surprise"!

NorthernLurker · 22/04/2008 13:36

That makes me feel better then How often does something cost less than you expect?
