thankyou for all the birthday wishes

My little Harry is a whole year old bless him

Happy birthdays to Joe, Erin, Maia and Alice

we're just watching the London Marathon. DH wants to enter for next year and i'm strangely inclined to have a go to This from a woman who's overweight and hasn't run since school about 14 years ago. Maybe not the greatest idea what an incentive to lose the weight and get fit though

StealthPolarBear · 13/04/2008 11:07

Do it Eddas, good for you!
SO what were you up to a year ago today then?

Happy Birthday Babies

Didn't do much on Friday (W birthday) I've been trying to make the hours in work, and dh had a very long day. So, we made the most of it yesterday, and had a lovely day in cardiff, getting bits for holiday and having a really nice lunch.

We avoided lots of tat too Mil asked us what we wanted, and we said Next vouchers, so we could get some nice holiday things for him. She was very generous, so W now has his complete summer wardrobe Bit and with bils & sils though. Out of 4 sisters and 1 brother, none of them has sent a card, rang or even text to wish W Happy Birthday. Never expect anything from his brother or his youngest sister (nothing nasty, thats just how they are) But really, really suprised at the others. The boys party is next week, so maybe they'll do something then.

Has anyone heard from ellie? Has she got her housing meeting tomorrow with the council? Hope she's ok.

Dh has taken the boys out, so I'm going to enjoy the peace and quiet (must get dressed though lol)

Eddas · 13/04/2008 11:10

i think i'll think about it first. I'm entered for the race for life in May so i'll see how i go with that. I must start actually training first

a year ago, well I was in the hospital being monitored because ds' heartbeat kept dropping with the contractions(he was wearing the cord like a sash so contractions tightened it around his chest) and was sucking gas and air like a pro

StealthPolarBear · 13/04/2008 11:11

oooh Eddas!
Yes, afaik the council thing is tomorrow, day after J's birthday

and for the next 3 weeks, I have a 2yo and a 1yo

that sounds as if I've been very busy

Eddas · 13/04/2008 11:12

Hi RH

I had a text from ellie, well Joe, this morning wishing ds a happy birthday

runnyhabbit · 13/04/2008 11:14

go on, do the marathon

fil did a good few years back, sil did about 3 years ago, and my neighbour has doen it for the past 3 years. All have said it is one of their best achievements.

Eddas · 13/04/2008 11:22

just asked dh's opinion as he's done the marathon before and he said he'd try a half marathon first. Which makes sense. Even if you apply for the marathon you're not guranteed a place, far from it as so many people apply. So I think i'll apply for next year and see what happens. If I get in and don't want to do it I can defer the place til the year after, quite common for people to defer because of illness/injury. FIl was going to do it today but was injured 2 weeks ago so he'll defer til next year.

Is anyone else watching it? There's a man doing his first marathon at the age of 101 he only looked about 70 good on him

StealthPolarBear · 13/04/2008 12:09

I'm going to make a trial hedgehog cake today!

mammyjo · 13/04/2008 14:22

Happy Birthday to Joe, Harry, Alice, Maia and Erin! Hope you are all having lovely days

CD, sorry to hear that the conjunctivitis is back again Good to hear that you are feeling a bit better in yourself though

SPB, good luck with the trial run of the cake! How is T doing now? Poor little man seems to be having a bad run lately doesn't he.

Eddas, wow, a marathon. What an achievement that would be. It is something I would love to do, but realistically, I am never likely to achieve it! I am doing Race for Life in June, hoping I am back to my usual well self by then! Hope you are having a lovely day with Harry

Ellie, wanted to say good luck for tomorrow. I really do hope that it goes well for you. Hope you are having a lovely day with Joe too xxx

Hi CD I am doing ok, still taking my painkillers! My next problem is that I am constipated due to the codeine I am taking. Haven't been since last Tuesday I realise you probably didn't actually need to know that
