Oh no WCL - You do have a lot on atm!

Not your problems though - let them get on with it!

runnyhabbit · 05/04/2008 21:15

Hi all

Hope everyone's fine and dandy

Life just seems to be getting busier and busier. Could really do with some more hours in the day.

W is doing really, really well. We're sure that he's making up for the past 2 weeks Hoping that this means everything starts getting back to normal (whatever normal is)

Take care, and maybe someday soon, I'll actually catch up properly
x

oooggs · 05/04/2008 22:09

I have just watched Holby City & Holby Blue on replay that was a really sad ending - I sure know how to have a good saturday night

WestCountryLass · 05/04/2008 22:38

When I reread my post back it says 'made it up to me', I meant physically made it to visit me and the DC.

I know CB, the thing with FIL issue is he is fairly well off but retired and so his ex trying to claim on his finances is pretty out of order as his estate was established by nhim and my DHs mother before she came along (DHs mother has died). DH and SIL are obvipously concerned as it is their inheritance (sounds very materialistic) but would be one thing if their Dad spent it all while he alive but to basically give it to someone for nothing is hard to swallow.

My Dad has bad history. My Mum had an affair, my Stepmother had a mid-life crisis brought on by early menopause and screwed him over, I am hoping 3rd time lucky. Also, somewhat selfishly, I am hoping that if this new lady is going to be involved in our life that she sticks around because my DC were very fond of my FILs GF and she wants nothing more to do with them/us.

ANdy my Mum is a farking cowbag! She was actually a right cow to me at Xmas and then she has come back to set up over here to so say be clsoer to her GC and she can't be arsed to send a card on Leos birthday or reply to my messages asking if she wants to come up half term week, Excuse my language but I am beginning to think 'fuck her'.

Blah, blah, blah (yawn). Sorry for the rant.

Bramshott · 05/04/2008 22:41

Happy birthday to Sarai and Rachel & Little Frogs DS. Also may not be on tomorrow so Happy Birthday to Molly and Esme (anyone else?!).

Eca - glad today went as well as it could do.

All good here - have done the great bedroom swapround we have been planning and promising for a year, so O finally has her own room , and N has the cleared out big spare room.

Lovely photos Ange - she looks more grown up even in the few weeks since I saw her!

Finally got the call about my new job and it's all looking good although specific hours still to be decided. Only thing was she called on Fri at 8.30 when I was the wrong side of my first glass of wine of the weekend so I had to sober up quick!!

SOL - I am just being a drama queen - 16 days is 2 weeks if you add the weekends in to it!!

Off to my mum's Mon & Tues.

Bramshott · 05/04/2008 22:44

Rant away WCL - sounds like a nightmare! Hope you are feeling properly better now too.

I'm afraid I'm off to bed though! Night xxx

elkiedee · 05/04/2008 23:27

WCL, the situations with all your relatives and inlaws sound very complicated. And I can understand you worrying about your dad and being angry with your mum.

Good night to anyone still up, I'm going to read a couple of newspaper articles and eat an unhealthy snack before I go to bed.

Hope everyone gets a decent night's sleep, especially me!

oooggs · 06/04/2008 08:18

Happy Birthday Molly & Esme

well one good night is followed by a really crap one [ggggrrrrrrrrr]

and it was snowing here (yes in Cornwall ) at 7.30am all stopped now and the sun is shining but not sure how long for.

WestCountryLass · 06/04/2008 08:32

I sympathise with the lack of sleep oooggs. Leo very much like that. His disrupted nights are all teething related, so if he wakes up a couple of times I give him Calpol and usually that helps though he might wake early.

I wish we had snow!!!!

mammyjo · 06/04/2008 08:51

Morning all.

Happy Birthday to Molly and Esme!

Oooggs, sorry to hear you have had another crap night. Hope tonight is better >>>

WCL, can totally understand why your dh and his sister are not happy about the inheritance thing. Think that I would probably be the same if it was me in that situation. Hope you are ok xxx

Ange, your photos are gorgeous! And I echo whoever said that Izzy looks so grown up. F is still very much a baby in appearance as she is so dinky!
And what is the birthday present you got her? Is it a type of soft play thing as it looks fab and F would love one. Where did you get it from?

Got the christening today, but have to go and get another present this morning! Feeling brighter today so that is a good start

mammyjo · 06/04/2008 08:54

Meant to mention Eca too, glad the funeral went as well as could be expected. Look after yourself xxxx

Oooggs, no snow here, but frosty and a bit chilly too. Sunny now though so I am hoping it will warm up later!

Eddas · 06/04/2008 10:18

morning

it's snowing here too

Happy birthday to everyone who's turned one today or over the last few days

I went out last night, head not feeling too bad considering my toes look a bit worse for wear, one foot is very blood splattered[nice]

I was talking to my friends about ds' birthday saying he's having a party on the saturday afternoon and they should come over. So they're going to bring their boyfs so i have some party entertainers one of them will be great but the other will be scared witless of 14 children in a small place can't wait wonder if they'll come to help at dd's party in June. Am thinking i'll need some people to help control the kiddies

off to soft play at 12 which should be fun considering the snow ie they'll be lots of people there as there's nothing else to do

runnyhabbit · 06/04/2008 11:29

Morning all

Happy Birthday Molly and Esme x

We're going to wrap up warm and go for a walk in a bit. There's a lovely country park near us, with ducks and a park, so thats where we're off. The boys have got so much energy atm (but I wouldn't have it any other way)

Think I've managed to catch up sooner than expected lol

wcl never be sorry for ranting, it's what we're here for hope you manage to sort things out
mj will call you to do something this week have a nice day x
oooggs W is going through the same sort of thing - one good night, then one bad night. I wish he's make his blimmin' mind up
ange Izzy is so cute! I have got no idea what to get W for his birthday, so was looking at the pics for inspiration. Actually, we are getting him a dancing IgglePiggle He absolutely loves that programme

Need to go as dh keeps asking when we're going out. Best go as it was my idea

Have a good day all
x

elkiedee · 06/04/2008 11:37

Happy birthday Molly and Esme, who'd have thought our April babies would have snow on their birthdays? D apparently enjoyed watching the snow fall though - dp took him out to get a paper and to see his friends in the newsagents - they love D.

Doobydoo · 06/04/2008 12:08

Happy Birthday Molly and Esme

CaptainDippy · 06/04/2008 12:31

CaptainDippy · 06/04/2008 12:32

Happy birthday Molly & Esme!

Will catch up properly later ....

CaptainDippy · 06/04/2008 13:10

We've made a "Snow Fairy", it's got wings and a wand and everything - will try and post pics later! It has grape eyes and building blocks for a mouth and nose (we're severely lacking in fruit and veg in our house atm )

What's everyone else up to??

NorthernLurker · 06/04/2008 13:18

hi all just back from church and cooking lunch so must be quick,

Collected girls from my mum and dad yesterday. It's so lovely to have them back but the house feels very small now! Everything is still ok with our move though - so fingers crossed! We got our mortgage offer yesterday so that's one more hurdle jumped

I am very jealous of all this snow tallk! We have none here - it's just very, very cold!

Oh and B was back in our room last night and she still slept all night Hope she keeps it up!

Happy Birthday to all those celebrating this weekend

Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee

2HotCrossBunnies · 06/04/2008 13:30

Good afternoon ladies! Just popping on to say hello and wish all the April babies a happy 1st birthday. I lurk occasionally but too infrequently to keep up with everyone's news. Anyway hope those that were poorly are on the mend and it's very exciting to hear about the walkers!

All is good here. A is just getting over a bout of conjunctivitis. He is standing alone loads and cruising everywhere - he's now very fast with his push along walker. No independent steps yet but I'm sure it won't be long. Can't believe he's 1 next Saturday - what happened to my baby??? Oh well, will just have to have another 1

I'm back to work next Monday and the nanny started last Monday. She is lovely and A has been no problem. H (my nearly 3 yr old) has been more problematic but when I'm not here he's fine. There's been a bit of "not you, I want my mummy".

Hope those that have had snow this morning have enjoyed it - we even had enough in S London to build a snowman on the common - there were lots actually, sort of surreal!

All the best x

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/04/2008 14:11

oops, sorry Bramshott
Have now changed it, and means I can label it properly, I had to put the initials the wrong way round before, I couldn't label a photo of our children S&M

Eddas - I can't claim the I'm afraid, that was a Pesha special and anyway, I'm the one most likely to correct you on your grammar
but Joe does have that t-shirt!

Happy Birthday Molly

Message from YvieE - Its been a while but i hope everyone is ok. Sorry I have been really bad at keeping in touch, but internet usage is restricted at my new workplace. Sarai has been having a really hard time with her eczema and it seems to be getting worse regardless of the treatments so most nights i am shattered as she is waking up 2-4 times a night very irratated and itching. I've left it in God's hands now. But tell everybody that i miss them and I hope all is well. I can't believe it's nearly a year it has gone by so fast.

I have suggested that Yvie posts on the catch up thread

we've had snow but it didn't settle

Friday was a disaster (J staying with Justin). Anything that makes Dippy call him a knob has to be bad, right? (I've never heard her say anything that severe before

Ever get the feeling that life is out to get you sometimes? I do, and it's my turn this weekend.

Had a rough day yesterday, what with feeling generally down, and then realising I had smashed the christening present.
Raced and got a replacement present this morning and made it to the church with minus minutes to spare!
Both dc's were fab and well behaved in the church, although F decided to be the token noisy baby!
The day went downhill from there when we arrived at the party. I sat F down next to another little girl, just so that I could put my keys away in my bag. Little girl fell off the chair throwing her large glass of coke up in the air and showering F Poor F had the fright of her life and was literally covered from head to foot in freezing cold, sticky coke. Unsurprisingly we made a swift getaway and she has been in the bath and had a hair wash.

Please, please let tomorrow be a better day.

mammyjo · 06/04/2008 14:57

Ellie, sorry to hear that J staying with J was not good. Is he going again any time soon? Made me smile that CD called him a knob!!

cazboldy · 06/04/2008 15:48

thanks for all the birthday waishes

we have been having a lovely day, and molly has been given some lovely presents - I think my brother has bought up most of the disney shop, and Molly loves a huge king louis orangutang from the jungle book that he bought her.

Even dh's fanily have bothered! well more than half of them and that has to be a record!

the birthday girl has finally given in and is having a little snooze

my sister has left her lo here overnight again, so have 1 extra tonight

cazboldy · 06/04/2008 15:49

wishes even

and WCL - sorry if my comment last night was a bit flippant I just meant we all have enough on our plates worrying about looking after our own little families, without having to worry about our parents aswell!!
