hey all
Just popping in to say hello and that the funeral was today. It was tough, but we've got through and had some smiles as well as tears.

I'm off 1st thing in the morning until next thurs, so wont be around in case you were wondering what happened to me (probably not!! )

T has had a brilliant day being spoilt by his aunties

hope you are all well.

xxx

mamiguay · 05/04/2008 07:05

Morning, Eca thinking of you x

I'm in a communications blackout and it's killing me. Put my mobile into the shop to get serviced but didn't note down any phone numbers first so don't have anyone's number. Got a few people to email me but now my internet is doing weird things and can't access my email (work or personal) OR facebook where I know I have some numbers in messages. But can access MN??! No idea what's going on.

Was supposed to arrange to meet up with a mummy friend but if she doesn't call that plan is scuppered cos I have no way of getting in touch.

N woke twice from 8pm-9.30pm but then slept til 5.30am. he's gone back down now so think I'll follow and get a bit more kip. Seeing as I'm on my own and wireless is broken so I can only connect to 'net with a cable (perfect for N to dangle off) I'm unlikely to be on much this weekend

hope you all have a good one x

StealthPolarBear · 05/04/2008 08:10

Morning
eca - glad the funeral went as well as you could expect.
mamiguay, I have a thread about cleaning my pushchair that has been ignored so far, we could all post our numbers on there! (joke!)
"do any of you still do night feeds?"
yes, from time to time. OK, every night, at least once!

Sexonlegs · 05/04/2008 08:28

Morning all.

Eca, I am glad the funeral went as well as it could and that there was an opportunity for smiles as well as tears. So hard.

Maveta, hope you get your line of communication back soon. I hate it when I can't access the internet.

SPB, How is T today?

Lovely day here. Supposed to be gong to frineds for the weekend, but half of me wants to just stay here!!

StealthPolarBear · 05/04/2008 08:36

He's fine thanks SOL, no D&V so far, but he was up at 4.30 coughing violently for an hour!
ikwym, my favourite weekends are where we do very little - few walks, some playing, a bit of lazing around

Octothechildherder · 05/04/2008 09:59

Quick hello
No chance to read
Ernie is fine so much so he has STARTED WALKING (well two steps - which is quite good considering we all start screamng and clapping when he does it!)

Have a good weekend

Happy birthday to Rachel, Sarai and Littlefrogs DS.

Eca - Glad you were able to have smile and the funeral, it's important to remember the happy times.

Forgotten everything else.

Have uploaded a few pics of Izzy's birthday, please look xx

Oh and meant to say we had her feet measured yesterday a 21/2 F, so tiny. Jake had his first shoes at the same age and he was a 41/2 F!

Off out to Long Down Dairy Farm today if the weather holds!

Hope everyone has good days xx

Sexonlegs · 05/04/2008 12:53

Afternoon all.

Happy Birthday babies

Ange, I cannot believe how grown up Izzy looks! Glad you had a good day.

Hi everyone else - bit of a rush.

Pesha · 05/04/2008 13:47

Happy Birthday to Rachel, Sarai and Littlefrog's DS!!!! (1 smile each!!)

Wow Ange she does look so grown up compared to the last pics I saw and she's had a haircut!!! Looks a lot like you too!

Sooo tired today, was late to bed last night cos I got caught up in the benefits thread with scattybird being so hugely offensive so even when I did go to bed I wasn't exactly feeling relaxed!

D just doesnt seem to want to sleep in the day anymore. He falls alseep whilst bfing mid morning but as soon as I try and put him dowm he wakes up and is then wide awake.

Have done a little bit of tidying, some washing and put dishwasher on and now really cant be bothered to do anything. Think we will have a lazy day today. DD has been a bit bored and wants to do 'something nice' but is ok now she's making a book. Ds1 seems as tired as me and is curled up watching Franklin and The Green Knight atm! If I could just get D to sleep then I could sleep too!!!

StealthPolarBear · 05/04/2008 18:25

Can't believe this thread is so quiet at the moment!

cazboldy · 05/04/2008 18:28

i'm here again

oooggs · 05/04/2008 19:35

very quiet

cazboldy · 05/04/2008 19:40

I have been making Molly a cake

A pink one with her name on it made with icing flowers - with help from all of the older dc - even Charlie stirred it......and caitlin picked out most of the pieces of eggshell after she smashed the eggs into it.

shhh we won't tell anyone....noone will care anyway once they have all spat on it when they help her blow out her candle

oooggs · 05/04/2008 19:42

lol caz - would love to be there to see that oh and to have a piece of the lovely spat on cake

cazboldy · 05/04/2008 19:44

they all enjoyed themselves - thats the main thing

They are lovely kids really.....sometimes I forget how lovely they all are!

oooggs · 05/04/2008 19:46

we all do that caz - sometimes it is so easy to get lost in the truddle of everyday life, washing, shopping, cleaning, tidying etc.. to do the fun stuff and relax with it.

Well it happens to me

cazboldy · 05/04/2008 19:47

thats reassuring

be back later - dh just home

elkiedee · 05/04/2008 20:17

Happy birthday Rachel, Sarai and Littlefrog's DS.

Today started early, on the wrong side of 6 am. We've been out to Clissold Park to meet dp's old college friend and 2 adopted daughters for the first time in months and months - last time was apparently September .

And this afternoon I went to the library to persevere in learning to knit - I've just moved from casting on (about 3 afternoons over more weeks) to trying to knit the next row. The informal "class" is available to anyone who wants to turn up, kids and other adults as well. The kids' library also has quite a big space for D to play in, though he was also trying to flirt with all the women in the children's library and trash the displays (dp was there to try and keep him under control!)

D has already learned to say and wave "bye!", today he said "cat" a few times.

mammyjo · 05/04/2008 20:35

Hi all. Not getting on here much lately so I hope everyone is well. Happy Birthday to all those that I have missed during the last week

Dh has gone away to France today, and will not be back until a week tomorrow I have felt very stressed and on edge today so hope tomorrow is better. To top things off we are going to a christening tomorrow. That is not a bad thing, and I had been to Cardiff today to get a present for the baby. The problem is that by the time I got it home I had managed to smash it into several pieces I honestly do not know how I did it either, as I definitely did not drop it and it was in one piece when I paid for it. I will now have to race to the Royal Doulton shop at the local retail outlet place tomorrow morning, and hope they have something that I like which will replace the broken one. Why is nothing ever flaming well simple?

Anyway, enough of my woes, hope everyone is doing ok and enjoying the birthdays which I guess are virtually every day through April! Love to you all xxx

WestCountryLass · 05/04/2008 20:59

Happy birthday to all the babies birthdays I have missed. I am a useless sod.

We are having a family crisis. FIL and his GF are splitting up and she is trying to stake a claim on his finances.

My Dad has met a new lady friend and is planning on getting amrried for the 3rd time even though they only together 5 mins.

My Mum, who lives in Spain as a rule, has been over here for over a month and forgot Leos birthday and still not made it up to me (she is in Dorset with my single brother, swanning around). Resentment, um, yes, lots.
