mamiguay · 04/04/2008 20:07

wow it's quiet tonight!

not sure whether to be re the walking or that i don't have to deal with that for a while [hopeful]

dh away tonight and tomorrow so all by my lonesome. N is all bunged up, think it's teething rather than a cold, these teeth are taking aaaaaages to come in this time. 3am this morning he was WIDE AWAKE and so were we until 6am managed to get in another 1.5hrs before work at least but not sure tonight won't be the same, poor thing is so snuffly he can hardly breathe. talking of medised....

Bramshott · 04/04/2008 20:13

Happy Birthday Izzy!

Love the photos POTC - although I'd like to point out that the blurry baby in the photo labelled "M & S" is actually Orla (though it's quite likely she was dressed in clothes from M & S! Actually no, thinking about it, those hooded tops she and Izzy were both wearing that day are from Tesco I think).

One glass of wine and my brain is emptied!

May not be on so much over the next few weeks as it is the dreaded Easter hols - 16 (yes, count them, sixteen) days of no school, starting tomorrow! IDOC - if you are on here, then check your email and let me know if you're free to meet up.

Bramshott · 04/04/2008 20:14

Mamiguay - tell me about it! Orla's last tooth came through on New Year's Day and she's been teething ever since.

elkiedee · 04/04/2008 20:17

Hi all! Happy birthday Izzy.

I've put D's smaller clothes away, mostly 6-12 months but I'm surprised to see that some of his 9-12 month clothes aren't too bad a fit. The babygros are generally ok, and I'm a bit torn, I'm looking forward to some of his new clothes but I will be sad to put away some of the old ones until I really have to, but I don't think there's space for everything - and we could do with a few more vests and jumpers at the moment in 12-18, maybe we'll need a few summer things if the weather forecasters ever stop predicting snow.

oooggs · 04/04/2008 20:20

evening ladies

how are we all this evening?????

I was playing with Jack earlier and he has a massive back tooth just cutting through - which is why he was up last night - bless him

Jack is in 12-18 mths day clothes (all too big) as 9-12mth is too small. Erin in 9-12mths and will be for a while.

I'm supposed to be making cakes for the Rainbow party - but I am tired and can't be arsed so will buy tomorrow

oooggs · 04/04/2008 20:33

well I come out to play.......... and you all run away

thankfully I am very very busy on the multiples thread - on of 'us' is currently in labour with a singleton (number 5) her dts are 15 mths

we are pacing the floor like expectant fathers

geordieminx · 04/04/2008 20:33

Katy you are wanted

elkiedee · 04/04/2008 20:40

Good luck to pixi who Oooggs mentioned

leakyR · 04/04/2008 20:46

Evening

Happy birthday Izzy

Hope ernies finger isn't so hurty today. Rabbits can be vicious buggers; my nanna had one that the cat was afraid of! She used to put his dinner in the hutch on a shovel or he'd have her fingers. Mind you, he was about the size of a shetland pony

Absolutely exhausted. G is having a shocking week for sleep. Think it's back teeth with him too. He's just settled. we've had an hour of whinging, laughing, babbling, kissing and general not-lying-in-his-cotness. Then he did a big poo, screamed throughout the change then flaked out

He's in 9-12m clothes butI think his cloth nappies keep his trousers up. He looks so wee in the disposables that the nusery uses.

I'm going to try the old sleep while he does thing tonight, so will be off to bed soon.

mamiguay · 04/04/2008 20:52

lol at cloth bum,i thought N had slimmed out today until I realised my mum had put him in a disposable

He's just woken again poor love so did give him some medised this time, so ironic that this has happened right after me saying the other day that I wouldn't give again unless he was really blocked up and needing it.. am I psychic

think i might make like you leaky and head for bed as i think it might be a bit of a night ahead.

N is in 12-18mth clothes, not particularly big on him, though I do think the cloth nappies hel, although they can't be entirely blamed..

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY IZZY! sorry i forgot on my last post

StealthPolarBear · 04/04/2008 20:53

Thanks GM don't suppose you will be around for that? Not that I can make it!
Yes, good luck to pixi, another newborn on the way
mamiguay, hope you have abetter night (well I should say morning!). The one thing I've figured out about this sleep thing is that no two nights are the same and one night is no predictor of the next. Not with T or his psychic twin it seems anyway!
SOL hope the very dirty nappies don't lead to anything
Hi elkie, liath, oooggs and Bramshott - wherre were you all earlier when I was bored
Well T has gone to bed, everything smells of dettol or washing powder, hopefully he is over the worst. He was exhausted, poor little thing, DH was dancing with him to Metallica and he was falling asleep
Well off for a quick look in active conversations then to bed.

StealthPolarBear · 04/04/2008 20:53

Also hi to leaky, x post, hope you get some sleep

NorthernLurker · 04/04/2008 20:55

Popping on quickly whilst B does the scream and get ignored thing! She flaked out just before 6pm whilst I was out - and so now of course she is very unhappy about going to bed. Nothing else to report - off to get my big girls back tomorrow

oooggs · 04/04/2008 21:20

do any of you still do night feeds?

elkiedee · 04/04/2008 21:31

LOL at dancing with him to Metallica! Is T going to be a headbanger then?

D likes music, and dancing to it, too - I sometimes use music to try and buy us time when he wakes up really early and I can't quite face it yet.

Sexonlegs · 04/04/2008 21:37

Evening all. It really is so quiet today.

Doing some cooking for K, but it is going to be ages yet. I am so tired - I should have started earlier.

Not sure what night we will get either. K seems v restless in her cot - not awake but not in her usual heavy sleep mode. I can hear her as I type.

Bramshott, 16 days off school. That seems loads. B has 2 weeks off. Have fun!!!

SPB, love the thought of T dancing to Metallica!

Leaky, hope you get some rest. Sounds like you are having an awful time of late.

Maveta, hope you get a better night too. Sounds v tough esp without dh around for support. Have you tried a menthol vaporiser thing to help with the stuffy nose?

Hope everyone else is ok. xx

Pesha · 04/04/2008 21:39

Hi all!!

Have been lurking a bit but never quite got round to posting. Has been manic lately and loads on my mind.

Happy Birthday Izzy!!!!!!!!!

Oooggs- no night feeds here, D has turned out to be a good sleeper, making up for the first 6 months when it was every 2/3 hours! Am more likely to have Nathan up in the night than D!

POTC and Caz - glad you all had a good day! Lovely pics - Molly is gorgeous, some really lovely, thoughtful pics of her! As are your boys too ellie but I knew that already!!

SPB - hope poor T gets over his bug soon and you have a better night tonight.

And SOL - hope K's tummy settles soon.

Hello everyone else, sorry for no more personals but really cant remember a thing I have read over last few days

Went to see the house in the village today and I LOVE it!! I want it so much I could cry and if I don't get it I definitely will! She's not keen on my house, likes downstairs but my little room upstairs is too small for her. She seems very fussy particular! But there are loads of people in town wanting to move to other parts of town so loads of people who have houses she might want and who might want mine so hoping we can do a 3 way swap. Have found loads of people, rung a few and have a list of more people to ring tomorrow. I really really really really really hope we can sort something out. I WANT HER HOUSE!!!

Eddas · 04/04/2008 22:09

evening, anyone still around?

Good to hear all the clothes size talk, ds isn't too odd after all

My little man didn't go to sleep straight away tonight like he normally does. But bless him, he didn't cry I just heard some chatting over the monitor(my ear's blocked atm so can't hear much) went up to see him and he's standing up all smiles, bless. He is such a smiley little thing

Sexonlegs · 04/04/2008 22:26

I'm still here. Waiting for the sodding casserole that I have cooked for K to be ready. Am sat here in my pj's with teeth brushed, so once the alarm goes off on the oven, I can grab out the casserole and run to bed!!

I am a saddo!!

elkiedee · 04/04/2008 22:26

Eddas, that's lovely.

AngeG · 04/04/2008 22:27

Hello everyone

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Izzy. We've had a lovely day. Izzy started walking yesterday

Was going to upload some photos, but it's not working atm.

Haven't caught up properly, but hope everyone ok.

Night xx

Eddas · 04/04/2008 22:31

oh goody people

ANge, glad you had a good day, yay to the walking. It's so cute isn't it

SOL, casserole are you mad, it's 10.30!

Elkie, he is a cutie. I love my little man I bought him a t-shirt in sainsbury the other day because it says 'mummys new man' >>>

Sexonlegs · 04/04/2008 22:34

Hi Ange. Wow at walking! No rest now then???

Eddas, I have no life! Seriously, dh went to bed early, there was naff all on the telly, so I thought I would do some cooking! Anyway, it has finished so am off to the land of sleep.

Night lovelies. xx

elkiedee · 04/04/2008 23:05

I saw that t-shirt - I think it's correctly punctuated though I didn't buy one - I've seen others in Sainsburys that I was tempted buy until I spotted misplaced apostrophes and I just couldn't have tolerated that (I know I'm weird but I come from a long line of pedants - my mum's parents were publishers and all my grandfather's books had a little slip of paper left in the front in for noting any errors in the printing - seriously!)

elkiedee · 04/04/2008 23:06

or even "tempted by" - I think the t-shirt correctly reads "Mummy's new man" (!)
