sex lol

ratbunny · 02/04/2008 17:13

wilkie - what is the 6week comment about?
kw3 - I know how you feel about whinging babies ALL DAY - it drives you mad doesnt it! S has 3 teeth coming through at once at the mo. all teething does funny things to his nappy so he also has bad nappy rash.
lizz - I was thinking of doing that for S so i could have amorning to myself. sounds good.

I will give dh his present. I wonder if he will bother.

I psyched myself up to phone relate to make an appointment today, but they were shut. feels so weird going to them - when I was about 19 I installed a new computer system for them and can remember seeing all of these unhappy couples coming up the stairs. can't believe we will be one of those couples now..

Lizzzombie · 02/04/2008 17:16

Lal - I've got to use my £200 thomas cook vouchers as part payment of the holiday so if you can find a deal with them then cool, but am guessing you work for a different firm!

I think the Paradise Club Hotel/Apartments looks quite good. If you can come up with anything then I am all ears!

Wilkie - You didn't have sex at Nells house did you?!

Some dick has gone down our road with a white spray paint and done lots of the cars with blotches of paint. I didn't get a chance to check ours this morning, so I am dreading finding something when DP gets home.

oops...DJ has my family sized chocolatebar....gotta run!

btw - whats going on with the lack of ITNG in the evenings now? Am not liking the replacement programmes!

Lizzzombie · 02/04/2008 17:18

hotel in menorca

  • it has a SPA!!!
ratbunny · 02/04/2008 17:19

lizz - sadly I record the 1.30 episode of itng and play that for s in the evenings.
I really MUST get out more...

Lizzzombie · 02/04/2008 17:49

You are an organised mother of the most highest order, I am impressed! For some stupid reason I refused to get sky+ so can't do that. But - am looking forward to the new series of Charlie and Lola starting soon!

eandh · 02/04/2008 18:22

DH refuses to have any more 'kids' stuff on the sky+ box so instead we have 2 itng dvds

Ratbunny - is dh home did you give him your present?

Lizz at holiday

Wilkie- pmsl is that you off the hook for next 6 weeks?

Girls are in bed - Ellie and I been baking again we did jam tarts and people biscuits today. Have put a crap dinner in oven but know we'll enjoy it (sausage, chips, egg and beans!)

SmoothandWilkie · 02/04/2008 19:11

Yes, off the hook for six weeks! It's about the most I can get away with

Rat - how are things tonight? I admire couples that seek help such as Relate more than the ones that don't. It is such a hard thing to do but shows that you want to make it work. IMO far too many people just cut and run without giving it a shot

Lizz - how is DJ tonight?

EAH - skim read the last bit of your post and thought you made baked bean jam tarts! PMSL Nom nom - Jam Tarts are YUM!

Susie - lovely to see you back with some good news

I am getting very concerned about where Dragonhart has disappeared to. Anyone seen or heard ANYTHING? Wasn't her 12 week scan a couple of weeks ago? Hope everything OK.

Reggiee - are you still bored?

Well, I went to work today and did sweet FA. J settled better in nursery. The local bobby rang to see how we were after the break in to the car (?) and had the great news that we live in the worst area of the village we possibly could. Great.

eandh · 02/04/2008 19:16

How long do you have to stay there wilkie?

I have just taken a photo of my tummy and am going to keep looking at it to remind me why I must lose weight so after this weekend I am back to WW and sticking to it

2HipHopandHappy · 02/04/2008 19:35

Too many posts to do all the personals.
ratbunny - I posted on your Barcelona thread, and still say he was being a tit. Did you get away to your friend's?
scmp - hope back a bit better
kw3 - nice to see you
Lizz - hope the spots carry on crusting and his eye gets better
Wilkie - Nell McAndrew - you going to abandon us for your celeb mates now then??
can't remember who posted about teeth, but ds2 has been beside himself this pm with his last pre-molar coming through - the rest were fine, but this is causing him so much pain. Gave him calpol, then neurofen, no help. He ended up passing out (on my boob, with a piece of lego clamped in his hand ) but I suspect it's going to be a long night.
Ah bollocks, can't remember anything else.

OP posts:
ratbunny · 02/04/2008 19:36

wilkie - bad news about where you live. at least it's rented..
lizz - hope dj is improving. cp sounds awful - I always thought it was a really mild thing, but some of the stories on here are awful.

well, dh didnt even open his present. he is still carrying on the argument. he doesnt want to go to relate, and says he will move out. I am hoping that by moving out he will realise how much we mean to him and that he will want to work on it. I feel numb tbh. I cant believe he is willing to chuck everything away. we often argue, but never this bad. he doesnt seem to want to work on anything.
I really dont know what to do. I want us to carry on, but things cant stay as they are, as I resent how he lumbers me with everything, and he resents me demanding more of him.

Lizzzombie · 02/04/2008 20:22

Ratbunny - I am so sorry to hear that. Maybe that would do him the power of good, a real wake up call. Big hugs to you.

Lizzzombie · 02/04/2008 20:32

Have to share my BARGAIN of the century with you!
direct.tesco.com/q/R.203-3927.aspx Plus, triple points, plus £5 off as its over £20, plus free delivery as DP can pick it up from the Tesco store on the way home.
PLUS....its nearly £50 on a couple of other sites!

Eah - how impressed are you?!

ReggieegeeGrandNational · 02/04/2008 20:57

I am still bored but wont be in 5 minutes when the Apprentice comes on tv

((Rat)) So sorry to hear how bad things are for you. Moving out might make he see what he is really missing. Keep posting - you have lots of people for support here.

Shimmer · 02/04/2008 22:29

So sorry to hear your DH is being so difficult Rb. I've just told my DP that all men are stupid bastards in sympthy. He said 'yep and the sooner you girls learn that the better' There may be some profound truth in that.

PMSL at your 6 weeks off Wilkie!

Was quite dissapointed with the Apprentice tonight. I think Sir Alan's losing the plot! Why on earth did he fire her?? Because she wasn't as 'interesting' (ie attractive and argumentative) as the others, thats why. It's all about the ratings these days. I'm seriously considering boycotting the rest of the series. Though I must admit I did develop a teeny tiny crush on Simon (the ex army one?) in this episode

ratbunny · 02/04/2008 22:37

just a quick update. dh is moving out. I cant believe this is really happening, and happening so fast. he has asked me to sort out a budget to pay for his room etc on top of all of our other outgoings!
(i wonder if he will tax, mot and insure his car - its due right now. )
part of me is really sad, and another part thinks - serves the bastard right. let him go off and play with his friends. he will miss s.
but then I feel so sad for little s, who wont understand where his daddy is
I really think he needs to talk to one of his proper friends / family. they will make him see what he is doing.

susiecutiebananas · 02/04/2008 23:21

oh sweetheart, I'm so sorry made me really upset reading that. Think because I'm not quite out of the woods myself really. Deep down, i'm just waiting for him to F* up again.

Has he not spoken to anyone at all? Its SO important, to get some perspective on things, maybe you should ask him, if he does one thing, to talk to someone, anyone, efore he does something that he will regret and that will do to much damage to you as a couple.

I really know how you are feeling. Just so numb, and empty? If you want to talk at all, please, please feel free to contact me," susie brett at mac dot com " I'll give you my number then, if you would like it at all, I find its good to have someone who is not so close to things, just to off load on.

All you can do, is emphasise to him, that this is ot what you want, and you want to try to make it work. Maybe just a little time apart will do you both good, but with a time limit on it, and lots of active communication still. Gosh, I really feel for you. its such a shit shit thing to be going through. I've not a clue whats been going on, missed it somehow. ( or have you never said? ) so sorry i'm a bit crap!

Like I say, please email me, anytime. I'm always here. Wish I could do something to help.

ratbunny · 03/04/2008 08:48

omg since coming back to this thread, I rather feel I am posting too much! sorry everyone for taking over.
but I really feel like you are all rallying round me, which is really great. thanks

well this morning I reitereated that I dont want him to go and that we can work things out. he came back with how when he goes on his computer or gts his camera out I make him feel guilty. I guess I have given him a hard time about it, but thats cos I always felt like I battled with him to spend time with us not doing his hobbies, especially when he was always working so late. he used to spend all morning on his computer before going to work, then not even see s in the evening cos he got back from work late. then, at the weekend, we would go out as a family and he would bugger off taking photos, leaving me with s just like I am every week day.
so now I think he is being a selfish git, and by moving out he will have time for his hobbies AND still get to see s.
there's no winning really.

and no, I never mentioned it on here, as I just felt I would bring you all down, and that you wouldnt want to hear about it. and now you are giving me such support, I feel really bad for thinking that.

eandh · 03/04/2008 09:08

Flying post as just walking out of the door to do the school run but ~Ratbunny we are here for you rant, moan, scream, tell us what a fab time you & S are having etc etc I know there have been times I seriously couldnt have coped without this thread support

Post a bit more later but chin up you can do this for you and S

katwith3kittens · 03/04/2008 10:50

Ratbunny...gosh, I just wasn't expecting that. Please do keep on posting if it helps, we will all be here for you.

Shimmer... you know you cant stop watching now

Right, I'm just so confused about this 6 week business Wilkie.... and have I missed something about N.McA ?? someone please explain ........

You know I think I'm becoming a convert to this CC .

Fed and left him in his cot last night without any problems, then when he woke at 1 ish I let him cry and he went back to sleep till 6 .....BLISS

In fact he is asleep atm, still being clingy snd grumpy so I put him in his cot shut the door ( he cried for

2HipHopandHappy · 03/04/2008 10:53

Oh ratbunny, it's so hard for you. I think all of us can understand to a greater or lesser extent how you feel - the men go off to work all day, go out in evenings or at weekends, and they all have this idea that we have it easy looking after the kids (+/- juggling PT work too). They believe that, because they are working so hard in the week, they "deserve" some kind of break at the weekend - aurely then, they should realise that looking after the kids isn't easy, it isn't relaxing, it's a full time bloody job that we need a break from/company doing or at the very bloody least some acknowledgement that it is a hard job that we are doing bloody well at, thank you very much (actually, I'm not so sure I do so well at it, but never mind, he's supposed to tell me I am!). Why do men think it's ok to take us all for granted? I really think the majority of them just have no idea what it's like to look after kids all day every day. Sorry, rant over . Only really menat to say, I'm sorry for all your troubles, ratbunny, and I hope things work out, and of course we're here to listen and support you.

eandh · 03/04/2008 11:16

2hiphophappy you summed that up perfectly, exactly how I feel especially when DH moaning because he is trying to get on woith something (ie cleaning his bike/going for a run all 'him' relaed) and they are pestering him (woo hoo he took HAttie to Tesco when he got home yesterday but he wasx gone 10mins and I still had Ellie )

Hattie was a pita last night think the mmr hurt her yesterday as she was fine with 1st jab but really tensed the 2nd jab so think her leg a bit sore, she went down at 6 but awake form 9-11 when I eventually gave up put her in her bed and she screamed for 12mins and then slept till 6.30 this morning, Ellie did 7 to 6.45 so am still at not be woken up at 5am

Kat - Basically the 6 week thing jokingly meant that she'll not have to oblige DH in the bedroom dept (unless she feels like it ) and she bumped into Nell in her pharmacy and they chatted for 20mins about childcare

Its my birthday 2 weeks today hurrah I have started a thread in style to try and get some help to buy some new clothes that actually flatter me rather thanm buying tshirts from matalan and jeans because its cheap and 'will do'

ratbunny · 03/04/2008 12:11

who is Nell?

kw3 - i do cc with s too if necessary. It is hard listening to them crying, but it works wonders. I used to go outside for a fag so that I couldnt hear him going for it for the 5 mins after I lay him down!

I have been out to toddler group today, and never realised how many friends I have around here. I feel really lucky, and in a much better place to cope with everything that's going on. I feel sad for dh that he feels like this - I am sure he is depressed, but blames me for it . I do worry how he will feel being alone in a room in cambridge. then I remember what a selfish bastard he has been and try not to care.

2happy - you wrote a lot of sense there!

my god I am posting WAY too often - can you tell I dont have any hobbies?!

SmoothandWilkie · 03/04/2008 13:02

Go Rat you poor poor thing. He is being a total selfish arse - he obv isn't even factoring S into his decision. I just hope he realises all this when he moves out.

I hate to ask this, but are you sure there is no one else involved? Do you suspect anything. I wanna take you in my arms for a big bear hug (LTH look away!)

***

On a totally unrelated note, Shimmer I totally agree re the apprentice. WTF was that about? Jenny should have gone. She had a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp! Defo a ratngs thing - shame on you SAS
