Ooo Ooo Oooo Susie ~I am so excited now! I work Monday and Fridays and Ellie goes to school Tues/wed/thurs but I can o thos emornings between 10 and 11.30 (I drop her off at 9 and need to leave around 11.30 to get her) or can do any afternoon on those days

Hattie has discovered biting so currently lots of 'no thats ot nice' being said to her, she is hilarious at the moment as she loves spinning herself in a circle then gets giddy and looks like shes had a glass or two.

No grand national bet/sweepstake here normally I do it at work but was busy with end of tax year stuff I didnt get time and nobody else bothered (as usual)

Am off to London on Thursday booked a limo and we're going to see Dirty Dancing

eandh · 05/04/2008 07:55

x post wilkie - Hattie was a pita last night didnt actually go to sleep till 10pm and then moaning in sleep - she had MMR on Wednesday so wonder if its a delayed thing from that or her being a pain (MIL let her sleep at 2.30 for an hour where I dont lket her sleep after 2pm)

Jobs sound good and like you said once you are 'in' its easier to work your way up

Hey ladies

Seems we are all going through horrile nights again with LO's! Last night was the 6th in a row, ( loosing count might be more, or less ) when Izzy was up many many times. I'm sure its her teeth, sure of it. I'm just SO unbelievably tired. I dont think it's any coincidence that my pain has gone up, as have my pain killers as a result. Just getting no rest at all of any kind.

DH didn't bother to call at all today, was supposed to be here. I ended up sending a pretty shitty text, after a few nice ones, saying I can't believe he's done this again, after we had sorted so much out, and I was finally feeling happy again, an a bit more secure.. the arsehole sent one back saying he was sick of me calling and sending texts. He'sfeeling really unwell, and has been in bed all day, and cant I just leave him in peace to be ill!

How the feck am I supposed to have known he was ill? Psychic? telepathy? He'd not answered the phone or a text ALL day, he's not told me he was ill, and woudn't make it home! I spoke to him for2 hours on his way back to B'ham last night at about 11pm it was SO nice...Now this, again. FFS! I was so upset. I obviously don't have any issues with him not getting all the way home if he's ill,but he could at least tell me, surely? He knows i'd have been really sympathetic and loving and soppy. Instead he treats me like shit again, and talks to me like shit too. ( rare, actually)

Sorry, selfish post, just so pissed off, feeling really shit myself, upset ad sore. Izzy has only just gone to sleep, been up since 5.30am again, and she didn't sleep this afternoon either. I put her to bed and she just sang, loudly for an hour or so, on and off. I left her in her cot as she was happy, but I couldn't snooze with her awake.

Un-intetionally fell asleep on the sofa at about half 4, woke up tipping my coffee all over me. Izzy picked up her jumper and started wiping me and the sofa with it! So funny!

So, we had a lovely bubble bath together, and a long story, and lots of cuddles. A ince girls night with out arsehole daddys!

She also did about 5 steps this evening on her own! I was so pleased, she's done a couple here and there but these were so strong and brilliant. shame DH missed it. Won't be long do you think? Is this how they start off? She's been cruising for months and months around furniture, standing alone for a few months, and taken the odd step in the last week or two. Will she just take more and more, or will she do this for ages too? Can you ask all your veteran walkers please??

wilkie the benefits are great, especially maternity leave sick pay good too,I've been in my post for a while now, so i've accrued 5 moths full pay 5moths half pay. I htink thats what you get after 2 years... not so good before that. Erm... pension really good too. apparently one of the best, if not the best, as they put in a huge amount as well as your contributions.

E&H I'll let you know in time then, when I might be coming down.Difficult as I still can;'t drive, so would be when mum is visiting my sister.

Ratty Hope you are ok today? still talking about stuff, and looking more positive.

PC Izzy is going for her MMR next week, I decided that she'll have them all together, as the research that claimed all the problems, has been totally de-bunked, and proved otherwise, with much better research. He is also facing being struck off, f not already has been, which is a fairly serious reason to not take any notice of it, IMHO.

Morning

Susie - hopefully DH will relaise what an idiot he has been when he feels better - men do all seem to think we are psychic (sp?)

PCF - enjoy your day and hope the boys play dp up behave for dp

Girls slept in till 7.30am this morning dh and I were up before them

We ahve no hot water/heating at the mo, was working yesterday morning and stopped thankfully we have a British Gas policy thing and phoned them at 2pm yesterday and because we have 2 children under 3 they'll come out today (although between 8am and 6pm but she did say she'd put as priority) tahnkfully we have a fire int he front room so that keeps them warm whilst they play and I gave them both baths at my Mums yesterday.

Cant decide whether to cook a roast (got chicken breasts infridge) or do something else, did think about making chicken and mushroom pie as Ellie would like making the pastry...decisions...decisions...decisions

vinojaune · 06/04/2008 11:16

If you make the pie Ellie will be occupied and if she's cold, forget that she's cold IYKWIM. I was going to go for raost cos you'd have oven on lomger so kitchen would be toasty, but if its only breasts then they won't need as long will they. SOunds yummy anyway!

DH and I had roast chx last night when he finally got home from work. I was exhausted so went to bed about 8.30 and slept right through. DH has taken Ellen swimming this morning while I did a few house jobs.

Just had to unblock one of our toilets cos one of my poos blocked it!

eandh · 06/04/2008 12:03

Well BG man came at 10am!! He has got heating working and we can small amounts of hot water (we have combi boiler so no immersion) so will be able to shower tonight and dd's can have a small bath. Coming back with part on Wednesday to fix hot water properly

Popped to Asda to get veg and picked up reciepe card for thai red chicken so making that for Ellie and Chris and Hattie and I are hsving chicken and veg

Vin - at your poo problem

eandh · 06/04/2008 12:03

BTW its really snowing here!

SmoothandWilkie · 06/04/2008 14:50

Vino - PMSL. Mind you, DH had to unblock our loo last week as it kept overflowing - he found three of my tampons in the bend! Whoops

Am in the shop this afternoon - sent DH home with J because he has worked nearly three weeks solid and needs a break from the shop! It is really quiet and snowing like mad so I might get to leave early.

EAH - Thai - sounds lovely and exotic!!!! The steward did me full roast dinner, beef, it was to die for.

Mmmm red thai curry does sound nice E&H

Had a nice hour or so at my parents this afternoon when we dropped Ellen off. She pottered in the garden which was funny cos Dad had one of the rabbits out - she picked the rabbit up by its fur, with just one hand - and then nearly dropped it. Then Dad showed her two recently hatched chickens and she slapped one, then pinched the other, we think she was trying to lift that up too. The poor chick yelped!

Not a very exciting day in the vino household but some useful jobs done. DH and I are about to chill out with the paper, some chocolate and cup of tea.

PCF - the strapless bra sounds like a very useful purchase. Just think, every time you wear that in the future you will be able to think 'this was my wedding bra' (well thats the sort of thing I would think)

ReggieegeeGrandNational · 06/04/2008 22:00

Just done my tesco shop on line.

Went out earlier to pizza express with dh and lo. Haven't been out for a meal chez famille for ages - it was really nice and a bargain as we had a bogof voucher from the times.

DH very happy as he came 12th in his half marathon race today.

Lol about the toilket blocking stories

So, all you have had the MMR. Lo has a huge red patch covering half her thigh around the injection site. I think it is quite common to have redness, but it just seems so big. She's not showing any concern for it though.

ReggieegeeGrandNational · 06/04/2008 22:01

Oh, forgot to add I didn't win anything in the GN yesterday . Luyckily dh's horses came first and third so we were quids in so he paid for my losing bets.

ReggieegeeGrandNational · 06/04/2008 22:01

Good race though

ReggieegeeGrandNational · 06/04/2008 22:02

Can you tell I'm tired. I can't seem to string very good sentences together.

ReggieegeeGrandNational · 06/04/2008 22:02

And that's the first time I've ever double posted .

Good night!

susiecutiebananas · 06/04/2008 22:15

hey girls

Not much to tell today. DHs phone still off. Izzy wet to mums as I felt really unwell. Think I've got tonsilitis. High temp on and off ad spots on them, so pretty sure of it...

More worried about his health than anything. He's been ill, every weekend, and not exactly well during the week, for nearly 2 months now. Its the working double shifts that are not helping.. think he's something going on though, which isn't getting a chance to get better due to such long hours at work and no sleep.

So, Izzy grumpy with her teeth. Wet to bed with such a battle. Love her going to my mums, its the only time I get a break, but, she doesn't put her down for a proper sleep, so she gets overtired and impossible to settle. Mum stayed util she was asleep tonight though. I was terribly upset whe she went, I"m just so lonely, and fed up with being on my own, every evening, and night. I hate it. I feel like i'm single, only I dont have the option to go out and meet someone to spend time with. ( not that I want to, but you get what I mean. )

Guess it is why I end up posting such hugely long (boring)posts... I feel bad about it every time. selfish, and mean. Just that, I don't have anyone to talk to in the evenings. just so unhappy.

Hope you guys have all had nice weekends, and looking forward to the week ahead!

ratbunny · 06/04/2008 23:19

wilkie / vino - pmsl at loo-blocking!

susie - I hope your bloke gets better - in his health and in his communication! I would go mad if dh didnt text me if he wasnt coming back - that is just thoughtless. I promise I will call you - the past couple of weeks, I have been feeling how you feel - lonely in the evenings and not able to go out . can you meet up with friends and get your mum to babysit?

pcf - at your sister and not inviting you.
and s hasnt had his mmr yet. i don't intend to get it done, and will look into having the single measles when he is a bit older. he just seems to react to everything, so I'm not chancing it.

me and dh have had a better weekend. we went to the zoo on sat (though I might as well not have bothered - S was more interested in the cars in the car park ) and have been doing loads of talking. we have soooooo much to work on, sometimes I wonder if it';s worth it all / if it will sort out.

is there something inherently funny about farts? whenever s farts he pisses himself laughing. he let one off in the bath today, and honestly he was so pleased with himself. mum is trying to get him to say 'pardon me' (which he will more or less repeat, bless him), but I swear he farts deliberately! along with the weeing on the floor and laughing (while running off) I despair at what he will be like later!!

looshkin · 07/04/2008 10:20

Morning ladies, it has been a busy week

Wilkie ?have you had coffee with Nell yet which jobs are you going for?and jealous re roast dinner made for you

Shimmer how's the throat doing I hope it is finally on the mend.

Susie, thinking of you - any news from dh? How's dd and her teeth?

ratbunny thinking of you hope you are getting sorted, was glad to read you have friends who can support while you go through this and us of course

Eandh I had an email back from friend who is a paediatrician and she said that bad breath is extremely common after an episode and all the symptoms you mentioned are normal. She will grow out of it and routine is the best thing to try and reduce them and also no TV in bedroom. They can also be precipitated by a minor infection. Hope she is generally better

Lizz - how is the chicken pox I hope the spots are going/gone.

KwK sympathise with teething we have canines and premolars coming through and it has been sh*t

LAL I picked simon too I think he fell over rather early on

2H I didn?t get why he fired her as well but PMSL at all the fuzzy hair and smudged mascara, everyone trying to look all calm and collect - LET ME SPEAK heehee. How is the shed - on the ground or flying around? Hope you are feeling better today as it seems you have had a rotten few weeks with one thing and another -.

PCF heeellooooo - with your sister??? I would be rather peeved is this a common thing to happen surely A is part of the family, yep he may need more patience but that is what families do.

Rgee we are going to invest in cars and finding nemo to try and distract the chil

Vino PMSL reloo. I want lots of furry things to pick up and cuddle (deprived of pets as a child).

Well the loosh household is all quiet this morning, I have packaged ds off to nursery as we really really need to get our mortgage sorted out before we have to sell ds to meet the new repayments. Mind you he kept us awake for most of last night with fidgeting and crying/moaning. Dh has not felt well but it all the medication he is on but he stops the antivirals at the end of the week so that should help. We have just been pottering round at home, walks feeding ducks etc. I am watching clash of the titans at the mo whcih is fab the SFX are just so crap.

Right need to get sorted

loosh

PS Mary is almost done just need a veil and eye balls very very excited, mind you it is bloody hard work knitting when two cats are trying to eat the wool and a ds trying to pull the needles off you!!!

eandh · 07/04/2008 10:37

aquick post as I am at work and start of new tax year the place is heaving and they keep knocking on my office door

susiecutiebananas · 07/04/2008 10:56

Morning all

Definitely got tonsilitis feel utterly crap. Have Anti B's now.

DD slept not so badly last night. Woke up once in state, chewing her finger, so ended up givig her calpol.

Quick question to all

Are any of you as fed up as me, at constantly having to pick stuff up from the floor, that have been pulled out and chucked by certain small people or is Izzy unique in her mess making?

Also do any of you LO's chuck food on the floor, every bloody meal time, meaning that you have to clean the floor after every meal too??? I have a mat down, but she gets it to go further that the splat mat. Certain its on purpose too. FED UP with tidying up after her, flat looks like a bomb has gone off ,every day.

Izzy managed to reach a chocolate kit kat this morning, whilst I was in the bath room. Ate through the wrapper to get to the chocolate. ( makes my teeth go funny! ) she's never even seen one before! I tell you that girl cab sniff chocolate out at 20 paces! I found her, and said " what an earth do yo think you are doing" trying to be stern, despite the amount of chocolate around her face ,a and her concealing the bar behind her... she looked up and smiled and said very clearly " choglog" which I assume is chocolate!

E&H great when they get a word, always look SO pleased about it. Bless her on it being bread!
