OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Your weekend plan sounds nice jammy. you could always hide cardboard cut-out eggs if you don't fancy finding melted chocolate under your sofa cushions in July. I laways fret too much about kids finding an equal amount (but all the kids my DCs know burst into tears/hissy fit if they think you've looked at them slightly less than one of the others).

I don't like Easter at all (misery guts alert). Can't decide what we'll be doing, we were having a "surprise" birthday picnic in the forestry on Monday when they are having a duck race, but it's damned cold atm. There is a jousting display on that we went to last year which was brilliant fun, and there is a small "zoo" too, so that could be a possibility if we get together with my sister. There is another duck race in a local village too. So many choices.

holly, I blardy love you

holly sent me some big baby sized scratch mitts as I couldn't find any here. They are safely in DD's changing box for next time they are needed. It's cleared up a bit now, and the patches that are left are getting better ad don't appear to be too itchy, but I'm sure it'll flare up again soon enough.

this place is just so great

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/03/2008 18:33

Holly, my Mum tells me the seat has arrived at theirs. Thank you! We should be going there tomorrow (except I'm feeling all shaky, cold and dizzy at the moment ) so should get to use it then

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/03/2008 19:43

Oh joy. I have just ordered pizza from Dominos, which dH doesn't approve of. While the cat's away ...

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/03/2008 19:51

AM I a thread killer now?

annobal · 18/03/2008 19:58

Hi Jammy, I'm briefly around! Enjoy your Dominos - I think we'll be having quite a lot of pizza over the next few days...

I am having a reprieve from packing/sorting. This may be my last post until 'the other side' as we're packing the mac up and shipping it off tomorrow.

justplainoldRia · 18/03/2008 20:13

Good luck annobal. We will miss you, but you will be back I hope? Safe journey if we don't exchange posts before.

Enjoy your pizza jammy (maybe the shivering is just pizza excitement?) And have a lovely time at your parents.

"See" you both soon.

I am off out in the farking awful weather to visit my parent now. Bonkers I am!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/03/2008 20:14

We;ll miss you Annobal!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/03/2008 20:14

I am now envisiging MN from "beyond the grave" - the other side

lackaDAISYcal · 18/03/2008 20:21

annobal

safe journey to you and your family lovely lady and we'll "see" you on the other side.

When do you leave the country?

lackaDAISYcal · 18/03/2008 20:23

DD is full of beans tonight....literally.

I made chilli for tea and she sat and picked out all the kidney and pinto beans that were in it. I kept feeding her more from my plate and they just kept on disappearing. she must've polished off half a can of beans to herself. I wonder what sort of nappies I'm going to see tomorrow

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/03/2008 20:27

OK. I have to go. I need to get an early night, but want to sort out my clothes first, so off I go. Night all.

lackaDAISYcal · 18/03/2008 20:50

bloody hell, there are 48 women on the November AN thread...and we're only up to Nov 23rd. I can't keep up with it all!

I'm off too; I've been on here all day

I need to catch some ZZZZZzzzzzzzzs whilst my little sherman tank is asleep. Here's hoping praying pleading on bended knee for a better night.

Sputnik · 18/03/2008 21:03

Annobal, hope you are still around...
Have a good journey and hope to hear from you soon, take care

It's all been fun and games here at Casa Sputnik. DH and the baby both now have DD's cold, it took me 2 hours to get the baby to sleep, no chance of cooking dinner, and he finally went to sleep on top of me when I was eating cheese and crackers.

Daisy, I bet you haven't gone to sleep really

EasterBunnylicious · 18/03/2008 21:19

Annobal BON VOYAGE! Hope your journey is ok.

We have considered a move to somewhere like the states or Canada or Aus, I could get a secondment with work (though they are hard to get) and they give you a huge house and about 5 grand or so a year expenses. It would be great, it might be a way for us to get on the property ladder. Though it either has to be sooner or much later as I would have to come back if I got sprogged up again.

My mum would ferreak! Before I even had dd I mentioned it to her and she said "you can't take my grandchildren abroad" . It actually puts me off applying, I would feel so guilty but it would be great financially for us.

Anyway I had a lovely lunch with 2 of my old mummy friends who have both gone back to work. DH is working late and on his way back now.

Ria hope you have a fab birthday (is it tomorrow?).

Foxy, any news on Saturday? I can defo make it anyway so hope you can!

lackaDAISYcal · 18/03/2008 21:32

I've been catching up with my oh so many other regular threads!

justplainoldRia · 18/03/2008 21:33

it is indeed tomorrow, and DH is catering a funeral in the morning so I have a day of mad tidying before my parents come round for a meal.
oh well...

I'm off for the night now. too bored and hungry!

lackaDAISYcal · 18/03/2008 21:33

bumper, you should go for it. your mum would get over it eventually, and think of the cheap holidays she could have!

lackaDAISYcal · 18/03/2008 21:34

have a good birthday tomorrow Ria

Sputnik · 18/03/2008 21:35

Daisy you are just soooo predictable

justplainoldRia · 18/03/2008 21:36

just had to pop back to say I think Marc Bannerman is a wanker. Nasty Babylon tonight. Don't like watching real life on the telly.

justplainoldRia · 18/03/2008 21:37

Thanks daisy.

Wanker or not, that's not a nice way to go (and has put me right off my virtual chocolate)

lackaDAISYcal · 18/03/2008 21:41

some might call it just plain sad sputnik

you can tell DH has gone back to work though, can't you?

If he gets this job in Bradford my days of wanton MNing will be severely curbed

ok, i'm shutting down explorer and walking away from the desk.

But before I go, I found this earlier It might affect some of you on here.

justplainoldRia · 18/03/2008 21:43

thanks daisy. hope that's us

Sputnik · 18/03/2008 21:54

I really should be off too, as I shudder to think what kind of night I have ahead of me.
