Thanks for the fb message dkma! That is exactly the paper I want, but dp won't have flowers. He is a twunt! Maybe I'll have to use some of my womanly attributes to convince him!!

lackaDAISYcal · 05/03/2008 21:36

norty, yes and yes in answer to your questions. We need to know whether we need to save or offload the heaps of girly clothes we've got upstairs

Right am off to make a sword and shield, with a red lion on the front no less!

I think Lawrence is a great name....and Laurie

DKMA · 05/03/2008 21:39

Holly - I think I've just managed to fb you a picture of that lovely wallpaper I mentioned earlier? Excuse the fact that one of the girls is nearly flashing her arse in the photo!!

Daisy - really love the name Lawrence! I once had a customer called Lawrence who we all called Lozzer - he was a LOT of fun!!!

LMN - I agree with FF - all nurseries will be pulling their fingers out after that show!!

All - thanks for not taking the piss out of my crap spelling!!

SisterSputnik · 05/03/2008 21:41

I'm off to bed, I stayed up way too late last night. BTW AIBU to be pissed off that Baby Sputnik thinks he's too cool to bf during the day (he arches his back, turns away and blows raspberries, so pretty clear), but come 2am it's a different story. And again come 6am? Pah!

BumperliciousNeedsaGlassofWine · 05/03/2008 21:41

DKMA that's great! You are clearly brilliant at your job. Is it sales? God, I could never do a job like that, I am rubbish at sales. Is it stressful having to meet targets like that?

Norty, that's terrible, about the programme and your commute home. Of course you could do a better job looking after her, but that's no good to her if you can't afford a roof over her head. You are only there part-time aren't you. She is getting the best of both worlds.

Fairy I am dreading going back to work, I can't remember all associated lingo, plus I am going to be going into a new job, new team, new "topic area". I don't even have the attention span for an episode of Friends at the moment!

BumperliciousNeedsaGlassofWine · 05/03/2008 21:45

I think I am going to ask for this for my birthday, for going back to work in. I love it, though I bet it looks shit when try it on!

FairyFay · 05/03/2008 21:45

btw Bumper, we have a rearranged date to visit our friends in your neck of the woods on saturday 5th april. It would be lovely to meet up if you are free. I will email you.

LittleMissNorty · 05/03/2008 21:46

You'll be fine Bumper - it comes flooding back honestly

I feel like I've never been away....

Right I'm off now...night all and sorry for coming on here and just moaning tonight x

My favourite day of the week tomorrow...just me and DD all day.....I know the feeling DKMA...I could just cuddle and kiss her all day, but she won't let me...

Hope you all get LOTS of sleep

lackaDAISYcal · 05/03/2008 21:46

well done on the targets DKMA. It's good knowing you haven't lost your stride.

bumper, try not to stress about it too much; the thought of going back to work is definately much worsethan the reality. I had two years out after DS and I was terrified, but got back in gear pretty quickly. and you'll stop talking about her every time someone speaks to you after the first couple of weeks

ikwym about the jargon though. i was reading a thread earlier about someone looking for advice on buying a 30yo timber framed house, and although there was lots I know I should have been able to add, I just couldn't blardy remember what they effing were

OP posts:
FairyFay · 05/03/2008 21:46

That's really nice Bumper.

LittleMissNorty · 05/03/2008 21:47

Gotta have the shoes as well Bumper- they're lovely

Night all x

DKMA · 05/03/2008 21:48

Bumper - Yes it is sales - well kind of - as you can't sell prescription only meds - you can only discuss ways in which the prescriber can prescribe iykwim.
Don't find targets stressful - but the logistics of running big educational meetings etc and dealing with wankers that are rude (when I'm not allowed to tell them to 'fuck off') as my natural default mode is 'gobby'!!!
Try not to worry about going back to work too much!
I too have joined a new team, boss, geography with new customers, and even a disease area - it's all good. Anyhow - with it being all new - I'm sure they'll give you time to get your head around it.

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 05/03/2008 21:50

Lovely dress bumper, I'm sure it'll look great on you.

I made a huge step today and cancelled the sky tv

DKMA · 05/03/2008 21:53

Night LMN x

FairyFay · 05/03/2008 21:54

Night Norty

Holly, have you lost your mind today?

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 05/03/2008 21:56

I have lost the plot completely! I'll be telling myself I don't need any more pushchairs soon!

FairyFay · 05/03/2008 21:56

steady on, Holly. Don't be too rash

FairyFay · 05/03/2008 21:57

Right, must be off to bed too. nighty night everyone

BumperliciousNeedsaGlassofWine · 05/03/2008 22:02

Gotta go too.

Holly we have BT vision and it's great, but you have to have broadband with them.

Fairy AFAIK I'm free that day so a meet up would be great.

Thanks for the job support everyone. Night x

lackaDAISYcal · 06/03/2008 00:30

well it's taken me nearly 2.5 hours to make my sword and shield...I hope the wee man appreciates it in the morning.

I've had DD up for half an hour as well though. We had carbonara for tea, and she has woken up all itchy and cranky and her face and neck are red raw, and her torso is scarlet.

I think we are definately looking at a reaction to dairy

OP posts:
HollyPutTheHabitOn · 06/03/2008 07:55

Well done daisy, you are truly super mum! Hope you can find out what is wrong with dd, sounds horrible, poor thing.

Bumper, I've been looking at BT Vision on the website and I'm really confused. Why is the broadband so expensive? What channels do you actually get with the tv packs, it doesn't say? Do you have to pay BT line rental on top?

I've got to go to the dr again this morning. The abs cleared up my tonsilitis for all of 4 days, now it's back! Grrrr!

milkyJammy · 06/03/2008 09:11

Morning!

Daisy - pics of your creation on FB please?
And hope you get DD sorted out. Sounds nasty.

Holly - poor you with the tonsils. Don't know anything about BT vision. We have a freeview box and a Tivo for our TV needs

Had loads of trouble with the jamlet around midnight. I think I got up to her about 4 times in about half an hour, was well hacked off by the end But then she slept until nearly 6 And we went back to bed for a snooze from 7.30 - 9 She's a happy soul now, playing with her rainmaker and the junk mail, blowing raspberries at the cat!

SisterSputnik · 06/03/2008 09:37

Daisy, there are eggs in carbonara too, have you thought of that? Here they advise to give egg yolks around 10 months, and whites not til 1 year.

That dress is nice Bumper, very professional looking. If you're like me and have some lumpy bits then a slip should sort them.

Good on you with the Sky Holly, I turned down 2 months of free Sky the other day, as we just can't be arsed to watch TV. Also we had Sky in the past and had loads of hassle trying to return the decoder when we closed it.
