foxythesnowman · 27/02/2008 12:24

O poor DS! Hope he is OK. Its a nasty bug going round.

Best you have a lazy day on here Annobal.

Whats up with DH?

foxythesnowman · 27/02/2008 12:24

Why Fury?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 12:27

Poor ds annobal and poor you! Hope he is ok and hope you can get some sort of rest today x

No worries about the pic of the bed, whenever you're ready, no rush. Thanks so much, it is so lovely of you.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 12:30

Whassup with ds's nursery fury?

I'm pissed off I missed you selling the BGs. It may have been when I flounced for 2 weeks, so that's prob why! That'll teach me to stay away from MN!

HellHathNoFury · 27/02/2008 12:34

lol holly!

Foxy - it's SO expensive at £54 per day - which does not iclude breakfast, nappies or formula - and it's miles from home and it means that DH is tied in to all the nursery runs and emergency collections etc as it's near his work, but miles from me or home.

We are looking for one that's cheaper and closer to home.
Found this one which looks nice, is £47 pd but that includes EVERYTHING

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 12:35

EEEEWWWWW!!! I am feeling a bit better so I thought I may cancel the drs appt. I went into the bathroom to look at my throat in the mirror to see if it looks any better...well it doesn't! My right tonsil is covered in pus, it is gross. Maybe I will keep the appt after all!

HellHathNoFury · 27/02/2008 12:36

Holly I am eating goddamnit

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 12:37

OMG! How much?!

That nursery looks lovely and messy! I would worry about a tidy nursery, it looks great!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 12:38

Sorry ! I'll warn you next time I'm going to be a minger!

HellHathNoFury · 27/02/2008 12:38

yes they cost a fortune - and wait! If we go on holiday we still have to pay full price for that week
It's a rip off

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 12:38

bloody hell, amd at the prices for nurseries down there. Here, the most you will pay is about £40 a day, including meals, nappies and formula. I hope you get a closer one soon fury.

see foxy, there are advantages to the grim oop north

annobal, you are not really endearing me to the possibilty of life with three children

but your poor DS someone on here had a perforated eardrum when pg...was it Sputnik? Sounds very painful indeed.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 12:39

that nursery looks fab fury. Have you had a look around it yet?

HellHathNoFury · 27/02/2008 12:40

I can get cheaper ones, as I live in a surestart area, but the ofsted reports of those ones are somewhat questionable.
Call me a snob.

HellHathNoFury · 27/02/2008 12:41

Daisy - no - going to have a look tomorrow night or friday night. Need to leave work early to get there before it shuts.

Sounds nice though.

There is another one that is cheaper and closer to home but doesn't look as nice (there's that snob again)

Sputnik · 27/02/2008 12:46

Poor you and poor DS2 Annobal, burst ear drum sounds well nasty. I am wistfully wondering when I will ever get a decent night's sleep again? Perhaps when they're teenagers?

annobal · 27/02/2008 12:47

OMG Daisy! Are you? Sorry - I forgot with all the crap going on at home...

annobal · 27/02/2008 12:47

at the nursery cost Fury - I had no idea!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 12:48

Not a snob; that's why I didn't go to the rhyme and sign the other day. The location left a bit to be desired.

My advice is look at as many as possible to get a feel for what is a nice atmosphere. We looked at some lovely new pristene ones when I moved to Leeds, but the one that felt right was the one that was a little bit grotty on the decor with well used toys. It just felt more homely iyswim.....and the lady in charge of the toddler room was fab, which helped our decision.

Some of DDs fuzzis have arrived. One of them is http://www.jamtots.com/Lime-Green-Fuzzi-Bunz-with-MOE-microterry-insert-P13C9.aspx this colour. It should come with sunglasses

annobal · 27/02/2008 12:49

Foxy - I sent you an email a while ago, did you get it?

DH is being a bit of a twat - think it has to do with me being a bit of a twat and moving and not getting any sleep

annobal · 27/02/2008 12:50

HI Sputnik . LOL - never again, you are now doomed to the sleepless ranks

HellHathNoFury · 27/02/2008 12:51

Poor DS2 Annobal!

Yes nurseries are crippling. More than my mortgage. We don't know if we can even afford for me to work (lol does that make sense?!) if we have a 2nd in nursery.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 12:52

fuck it, I was going to keep quiet, at least till I'd spoken to DH ....but I've now had two positive tests and one dubious one, and I think he knows I am anyway, since we talk about the missing period every bloody day.

shitey shitey shite shite...now where can I buy preggie pops again?

actually with my history of mc I'm still not convinced it'll go anywhere.

annobal · 27/02/2008 12:53

OMG - CONGRATULATIONS

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 12:53

erm thanks....I think

Sputnik · 27/02/2008 12:57

Moving house is up there on the list of one of life's top stressors. Moving to the other side of the planet must be even more so.
