LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 10:19

oh, they weren't listed when I ordered. If I get on with the anytimes, I might treat DDs bum to one of those!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 10:31

HOLLY....over here

not sure there are any left though!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 10:39

There's none left, I've already tried!

Oh well, I've ordered one of these (the D'Lish at the bottom in chocolate) instead! It really does look delish!

LittleMissNorty · 27/02/2008 10:58

god - what are you two like

foxythesnowman · 27/02/2008 11:11

a cake.

he's handed me a M&S cake and said "that's for Sunday" from the kids.

He's also just taken one of the cards I bought for his mum (I've since had some made on Snapfish) and said he'll put it under DS1s pillow and tell him to write it.

How fucking shite is that?

He did have another M&S bag with him though...

... with a pair of trousers for himself.

Bearing in mind he is off for a weekend with his mates today, which I pulled out of on account of having a baby and not feeling it was the right time....

HellHathNoFury · 27/02/2008 11:12

ffs sake when I had 22 BG for sale (4 of them brand new) no-one was interested

HellHathNoFury · 27/02/2008 11:13

Foxy that is REALLY SHITE.
I am angry for you.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 11:18

tis always the way fury!

aw foxy . men are hapless feckers when it comes to things like that. At the very least he could've bought you a nice scarf or something to go with the cake? Do you think he may be hiding another M&S bag in the boot of the car?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 11:19

Grrrr for you foxy! That is rubbish! I'm very pissed off on your behalf ! Personally I'd be more angry about the pissing off for the weekend (again) than the mothers' day thing. You have 4 kids ffs, you need looking after yourself sometimes.

Sorry fury, I didn't realise you had ever had any for sale otherwise I'd have bought some.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 11:20

oh, misread that foxy. I thought the cake was an apology for last Sunday.

for you lovely lady. I'm sure the DCs will be producing lots of lovely cards that they made at school.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 11:24

Join this site everyone! I test products for them. I have done loads of baby things- baby bath, shampoo etc and stuff for me too. Two massive packs of pull-ups for dd have just arrived at my door for me to test. 'Tis great!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 11:28

My DD has been eating fecking cat food again. I don't know where she found it as we aren't even in the kitchen. Her breath stinks {bleargh}

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 11:32

Yuk, yuk, yuk! Your dd is a minger !! Maybe you should put a bowl of raisins or rice cakes on the floor for her, then she might leave the cat food alone (maybe)!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 11:35

She needs this t-shirt!

foxythesnowman · 27/02/2008 11:48

I don't mind him going away, usually its for work, and he has very little 'him' time. Plus, it was my decision not to go. I do object to the fact that he hasn't compensated for it in some way considering its mothers day though.

No, no other bags. He's gone now.

At least he filled the car up with petrol first.

Sputnik · 27/02/2008 12:00

God that's shit Foxy, men are crap at these things.

Just wanted to point out Baby Sputnik didn't actually sleep through or anything, just didn't spend 1/2 an hour howling inconsolably, as he often does when ill. He's still in a bad way, but I managed to get him to sleep just now, hope he has a good one.

So, how do I rate living in Italy? I could write an essay but basically the climate and the food are what keep me here, plus I live in a nice place in the kind of house that cost a lot less than the equivalent in th UK (prices have gone up since we got it though). Italians are laid back but can be irritating eg they drive REALLY badly. They can be a bit insular and family orientated, a lot of our friends are foreigners in fact. For your kind of work you'd probably have to look up north eg Milan, so a bit cooler and foggy winters. Wages are a lot lower here but things cost less, not sure if it evens out. For kids everyone adores them, suposedly they have a better quality of life, less stress, bullying etc. but the schools above elementary level are some of the worst in Europe, universities are a joke.

Every so often DH (who is always complaining about bloody Italians, even though technically he is one) talks about moving to the UK, and I have to remind him half the population is trying to leave.

Oh, I did write an essay.

milkyJammy · 27/02/2008 12:01

Morning all (just)

Thanks Daisy - look forward to parcel arriving

Had a tricksy baby to deal with at 3am, but it was mainly the cough keeping her awake, so not really her fault.

At "make and play" this morning they were making muffin pizzas. Most children had them at snack time, but they left ours uncooked and wrapped it up so it's now in the fridge ready for the jamlet's tea tonight. And they made smoothies too, which she didn't have (had her own milk shake on tap as I jiggled up and down a bit) but she sat and muscked/gummed on a big strawberry afterwards, and LOVED it. Oh and she managed to wolf down half a slice of ham while we were making her pizza

Agree that your blokey is being crap foxy. Not sure mine's much better at the moment. There was a card in the bag brought home from nursery yesterday with hand prints on the front and Happy Mothers Day inside. "Cool, that's your card sorted" he said.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 12:04

foxy, take the kids on an extravagant day out, and use up all the petrol . In fact, come up to Leeds for the day and we'll go eat cake somewhere!

Holly, I'm buying that t-shirt

Question...why am i selling all my nappies when i'm really considering getting a nappy advisory business off the ground? I have a ready made demonstration kit....ffs

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 12:09

Daisy, I was thinking that, so I've kept one of each of my nappies before selling the rest! So if I do eventually become a nappy advisor I already have a kit.

Shit, I've just sold my one and only Rikki! Oh well, I've got some Airflows!

My dp has got the whole of next week off as holiday and I'm going to try and pursuade him that he really needs to go and see his grandma eg. Holly wants to come and see Daisy and eat cake!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 12:12

oooh holly that would be fab. Tell him she needs to see her great grand children more often

this is for babyboo

milkyJammy · 27/02/2008 12:13

looks good Daisy

Hi everyone! First day back at nursery today so feeling like I have some time back for myself (said between feeding ds3 and putting washing on, before I have to hoover the floor and make some bread )

Holly - sorry, still haven't sent you a photo of the bed but will do - it's yours anyway.

Foxy, that's really shit - come over here and the DCs can play - I have several dozen bottles of nice wine that need to be drunk before 27th March (hic). DH isn't talking to me at the moment so I'm sure he's forgotten on purpose...

Why is it when DS3 sleeps through, DS1 and DS2 do a tag team. Poor DS2 though - woke up yesterday morning at 4am and came in to see me then vomited all over me. Did the same at 4.15, 4.30 (etc etc) - you would think I could have dodged it by then. Turns out his eardrum burst in the night and he was vomiting from the pain . So after 4 hours sleep I was well up for DS1 to visit me at 1am, 2am, 3am etc etc... Actually it would be quite funny if DH was talking to me...

HellHathNoFury · 27/02/2008 12:22

Holly no worries about the BG, I am just angry that you guys are struggling to find cheap ones when I had loads I was desperately trying to get shot of.
Alas!

Sputnik - thanks so much for that, have fwded to DH. As schools are quite important to us, what you have said is interesting.

ATM I am looking for a new nursery for DS.

annobal · 27/02/2008 12:23

LOL Daisy - I like it!
