Couldn't resist, hope this is OK with y'all?

well actually I asked DH if instead of buying something new, if I could have my engagement and wedding ring reset (bought when I didn't know what chav was and inadvertently pursued that route for marriage jewellery). Besides which I have gained 3 dress sizes since my wedding and have lost all hope of wearing them again unless they get resized at the least.
Also I have a few other bits knocking around with missing stones/wrong sizes etc and if I could have those reset into something I would wear as well.

Just seems like I should wear the stuff I already have that don't wear, rather than buy new stuff all the time.

HellHathNoFury · 04/03/2008 15:28

then I can work on a necklace another time ;-)

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 04/03/2008 15:29

Good idea fury, def better than buying new things. It will be much more special.

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 04/03/2008 15:30

Cunning !

HellHathNoFury · 04/03/2008 15:30

I am quite excited about it actually. Do you know if it expensive to have stones reset?

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 04/03/2008 15:32

I don't know, I suppose it depends who you get to do it and what materials they use.

HellHathNoFury · 04/03/2008 15:36

spose so yes.
Cheaper than a new necklace I am sure anyway.

I am bored. I think we need to arrange a weekend meet up. Come on who is up for it?

I can only do weekends though

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 04/03/2008 15:44

That's a good idea. We could go shopping and for a nice pub lunch somewhere.

lackaDAISYcal · 04/03/2008 15:47

not sure if this helps, but DS bought me a stone, and it was going to be £250 to get it set in a tiffany style setting as a solitaire with 18k gold. When made up though it would be worth over £600 so definately worth getting it done.

foxy, I'll never leave you guys , and lindt easter eggs are definately off limits. I aim to finish this pregnancy no heavier than I am at the minute (but preferably lighter) via a regime of healthy eating and exercise....starting tomorrow when the jaffa cakes are done

holly, he can't be angry....you haven't paid for it! Pity it's not a P&T, I might have bought it off you when you were done

that offsted report sounds shit fury.

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 04/03/2008 16:04

Oh daisy, you know you want to .

foxythesnowman · 04/03/2008 16:05

I want to test things like that!!

I registered on that site Holly. Did you get it through that?

I can smell baby shite, but there is no evidence of any

lackaDAISYcal · 04/03/2008 16:07

no no no NO NO! Get thee behind me Satan

holly where did you register for getting to test that M&P? and how the hell do you find these things?

foxythesnowman · 04/03/2008 16:13

Holly I want to know what your DPs EW did to get barred from school

lackaDAISYcal · 04/03/2008 16:22

me too...she sounds insane

holly, tell him he can make it up to you by bringing you up to Leeds to visit his granny ME

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 04/03/2008 16:26

It was for a different baby mag website. I was just looking through it and found a request on one of the forums. I did it ages ago and didn't think I was going to be doing it...obv I am! I have just tested something for babyworld.co.uk as well. Here.

I think she swore at one of the teachers foxy, I'm not really sure. I think there was a bit of an incident in the playground and she got banned from the school premises. Dp does all school visits now. She is a class A twat.

The reason he was so long was because she made him put up a bed...uh eldest ds was there, he is 16 ffs I'm sure he can assemble a bed. In fact if I can assemble a bed on my own then so can she.

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 04/03/2008 16:27

Oooo, good idea daisy, I shall put the idea to him over dinner. After all he does need to go and see his dear old grandma !

Riallymusttryharder · 04/03/2008 16:44

I am bored too.

And have just screwed my diet - again. I didn't even manage ONE DAY

DH went for an interview and the person interviewing didn't bother turn up. Bloody annoying but not a good reason to make extra eggy bread for DS3s tea and trough it myself.

I will make amnends by power wlaking to the shop (when it's dark) for a bottle of wine

annobal · 04/03/2008 16:56

Bollocks Ria - that's really rude. They have to give him the job now - that's the law! Don't worry about the diet, you need some treats.

LOL Holly you hun. I wonder if they do these in oz?

Very that you are all doing a weekend meetup. I don't have any weekends free now

Riallymusttryharder · 04/03/2008 17:46

Too cold to walk to the shop. DH going in the car. There was a flake of snow a minute ago.

annobal · 04/03/2008 17:50

Snow

Riallymusttryharder · 04/03/2008 17:51

it's gone again.

annobal · 04/03/2008 17:53

Haven't been out all day so don't know what the weather is doing. Sky was blue so I assumed 30 odd degrees

HellHathNoFury · 04/03/2008 17:55

ok Holly let's meet! How far are you happy to travel? I think that will kind of dictate who can come as we are all so widespread!

Riallymusttryharder · 04/03/2008 17:55

not yet but not long. will you be on here complaining you're too hot?

annobal · 04/03/2008 19:04

LOL Ria - I am dreaming of going outside without coats and scarves (so I leave the country just before summer - smart eh!).
