HellHathNoFury · 27/02/2008 13:16

OMG DAISY!!

Sputnik · 27/02/2008 13:17

Good grief Daisy, you're not allowed to just drop a bombshell like that and just piss off, you know?

annobal · 27/02/2008 13:19

Yes - come back Daisy!

BTW well done to Bumper on [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/1374/441073?pg=2 this thread]] I love 'quote of the week'!

annobal · 27/02/2008 13:28

Sputnik · 27/02/2008 13:30

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 13:31

annobal · 27/02/2008 13:32

I bet she's sitting back and having lunch and a good laugh

annobal · 27/02/2008 13:33

LOL I HAVE THINGS TO DO!! But am now glued to laptop...

Sputnik · 27/02/2008 13:36

Me too. I was actually contemplating doing some work. Now I only have 25 minutes before picking up DD. Not much point really.

foxythesnowman · 27/02/2008 13:41

Quick! Somebody text her and tell her to come back!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 13:47

lol at you lot....I was just having lunch

and drooling over my drybees and greenkids nappies that have arrived, and cleaning poo off my new grrenkids nappt that had only been on for five minutes, and thinking Oh shit I'll have two in nappies at the same time

HellHathNoFury · 27/02/2008 13:51

well I am really pleased for you if you got the BFP!
And jealous

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 13:51

I'm happy about having another one, but not at the age gap (17 mo ) or the state my poor ravaged body will be in by the end of it, or the money, or the fact that I'll never be able to leave the house again, or what peachy comments my MIL will have to say, or whether DH will bump me off and bury me under the patio as promised.........but happy, yes

I'm hoping for a serious bout of MS so that I can lose some of this extra 2.5 stone I'm still carrying before I start getting fatter again.

(actually, I shouldn't joke about things like that )

Sputnik · 27/02/2008 13:52

Better not sell those nappies, eh.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 13:52

thanks fury

It's weird being the first, I'm never normally first at anything!

Will there be a floodgate opened now?

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 13:53

oh, and the washing....did I mention washing?

milkyJammy · 27/02/2008 13:56

Daisy, now you've said you're pleased - CONGRATULATIONS! (Didn't like to say so before)

But yes, my word, the washing!!!

OP posts:
foxythesnowman · 27/02/2008 13:57

Yes, the washing. The biggest PITA of them all.

Babies don't cost anymore. You've got all the kit.

You'll have two babies, yes, but IMHO I'd rather get it all out of the way in one go. So, you'll have 2 years of sleepless nights, instead of 4. Or worse still, a gap, get used to a full nights sleep then back to zero zzzzz's. I'm rather looking forward to some sleep - after 6 years of none!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 13:58

I'm thinking we will become closet naturists and only wear slothes if we have to leave the house.

That might work

thanks jammy, of course I can't speak for my DH . Just cos we were expecting it doesn't mean he will be happy about it. Maybe I'll just not tell him?

Sputnik · 27/02/2008 13:59

Glad you're happy about it Daisy. There's 17 months between me and my sister, my Mum says it was fine, you'll cope - at least you'll get the babyness over quicker, instead of starting all over again with it, which is what I felt like I was doing with a 3 year gap.
Wow, June's first baby IYSWIM We will all be knitting you booties

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 14:00

lol foxy. Your right; DD was a huge adjustment after five years.....at least I won't have forgotten the sleepless nights by November.
