Sputnik is it raining in Italy? I thought they missed the winter.

thisisRialifebaby · 15/01/2008 10:49

Hi daisy, glad you've had time to drop in, poor babyboo. Hope you're all coping well, and as you've seen we're all thinking of you and looking forward to having you back. Hope things go ok in Scotland. Lots of love.

YAY FURY! I think it's all about findind what works for you and going with it (like I need to make lists of what I can eat in a day etc. Please note this is said smugly on the 2nd day I've managed to keep to the SW rules, but it's not lunchtime yet

Hi everyone.

Elsbells · 15/01/2008 10:58

Good luck today with the diet Ria.

Right I am off to do boring chores before I pick up DS from preschool.

Enjoy your mornings.

Pumpkinhead · 15/01/2008 11:01

Well done on all the weight loss Fury. I'm like Daisy in that any stress just makes me eat more. Really, really sorry to read about your mum Daisy by the way. I hope the funeral is as smooth and peaceful as it can be. I'm new here but I have been reading this thread since almost the beginning. Also, thanks for the info on CP - not sure if its what I had in mind! Perhaps one in Holland might be better?
That cake sounds yummy Annobal - but I dont have most of the ingredients anyway at the moment so I'll just have to lick the screen.

sputnik · 15/01/2008 11:03

Daisy, nice to see you, and was so sorry to hear abuot your Mum
Hoping BabyBoo gets better soon, we seem to all have had sick LOs recently.

Ha, Elsbells, contrary to popular belief Italy is quite cold in the winter! I was having a good laugh coming back after xmas at the 2 girls coming off the plane in front of me who obviously were expecting to be wearing shorts and sandals We actually have snow atm on the mountains. Plus, Italian houses are not designed for the cold, with tiled floors etc. so I'm pretty brrr....

sputnik · 15/01/2008 11:18

Just wanted to remind everyone trying to lose weight about the losing weight thread

thisisRialifebaby · 15/01/2008 11:18

lol at licking the screen pumpkin

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 15/01/2008 11:33

morning all back from the gym very wet and miserable here too

Dasiy good to hear from you hope lo is all better soon big hugs for friday

all this pram talk is making me covet a new one but I don't need one I can see how all those huns get addicted to it though

I sent my resignation letter into work yesterday by e mail and haven't heard anything back! they are obviiously bothered about me leaving have never met the woman I sent it to as she became my new boss when I was on mat leave she could have acknowledged it though

annobal · 15/01/2008 11:39

Well done Fury. That's it, I'm off to investigate...

annobal · 15/01/2008 11:40

Hi Daisy, good to hear from you and good luck and big hugs for Friday

annobal · 15/01/2008 11:41

LOL Pumpkinhead - sending you a virtual slice with loads of butter on it...

LardyMardyDaisy · 15/01/2008 11:51

hi to everyone!

andie, that your work hasn't even acknowledged your letter, bet you feel like such a valued employee now .
I'm still not sure how/when to tell work I'm not coming back. I was going to ask for all my holidays in a lump to extend my ML, then resign halfway through as that way I will get paid for my hols. I'm not sure whether I would still get paid for them if I resigned now or if I would just lose them . I'm definately not going back though as I couldn't hack it emotionally. The other alternative is to get signed off with the pnd, at least I would get sick pay and after a few months I could claim on an insurance policy that I'm shelling out £40 a month for........decisions decisions!

babyboo catching up on her sleep now and has actually been smiling today (first time in about a week!) so she is definately on the mend. For the last week she has hardly slept at all, and certainly for no more than two hours at a stretch. She wanted to be upright all the time and screamed if we tried to lay her flat, but the doc thinks it was the ear infection doing that. Feel crap as we just thought she was being difficult! Her temp didn't go sky high until Saturday evening.

I've got bloody thrush in my boobs again though so am picking up another prescription later today. I just can't seem to shake it off.

HellHathNoFury · 15/01/2008 11:54

Daisy for babyboo.
Seems that so many of them have been battling it. DS is just about over the worst, he has started eating again at any rate and REALLY enjoyed his bath last night.

Poor you Daisy .. Glad that baby boo feeling better though.

Probably not the time to be making decisions - when do you need to tell them?

LittleMissNorty · 15/01/2008 12:05

Hi Daisy....its no wonder you can't shake the thrush off....you get it when you're run down......

Poor DD....glad she's improving

{{hugs}} for Friday.

Hello everyone

Sorry to hear about babyboo Daisy, and also your boobs. You've had a rough old time of it all.

Thanks for the virtual cake too Annobal! I'm having to make do with a cheese and pickle sarnie.

LardyMardyDaisy · 15/01/2008 12:36

a friend is on her way round to whisk me out for lunch so I'll catch you later. Other than the school run and the doctors, I haven't been out of the house since last Tuesday so it'll do me good!

If I don't get logged back on today, I'll catch up in a couple of weeks.

I know it's on the other thread, but well done andiem on your weigght loss! Am inspired to get back on with WW!

LittleMissNorty · 15/01/2008 13:21

Hi Fury...sorry.....work got in the way.....

BadZelda · 15/01/2008 13:23

Hello ladies - I hope you're all well? Looks like you've had about 3 threads since I was on last, so haven't had a chance to look back and see what's up...sorry to hear about your mum Daisy glad babyboo is on the mend.

I've been back at work since last Monday (hence having time to actually use my laptop before the kids are in bed). It's going pretty well, but as I'm only office-bound 2 days a week have had a bit of a problem with engorgement. Tried to hand-express in the toilets today and it looked like the shower scene from psycho (think milk instead of blood) by the time I'd finished....oops.

Nice to meet you Pumpkinhead.

Bumper: how's the novel going?

BadZelda · 15/01/2008 13:24

Holly: r.e. shopping and phil and ted's - I use a couple of butcher's hooks from IKEA to hang shopping off the sides, which works pretty well. Or of course P+T do panniers for £35?

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 15/01/2008 13:26

welcome back BZ nice to see you

sputnik · 15/01/2008 13:32

Hi BadZ, we were wondering where you'd got to

annobal · 15/01/2008 13:34

Hi BZ - good to see you back. How is work going (besides the engorgement)? Are you still managing to bf?

Holly, I use these for hanging shopping off p&t
