and at strangers calling babies fatties. they are supposed to be chubby! My DD was a skinny thing and I got lots of comments about her looking hungry .

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 14/01/2008 19:31

I tested the XLR for M&B magazine Fury. After I had finished testing it I sold it to Daisy! I really liked it and sort of regret selling it, but then I wouldn't have my Buzz!!

I want a Gecko because it is smaller than the Cam and cheaper! I am not going to get one though, my dp would literally kill me!

about your sis fairy, but at least you can go on lovely trips to Oz to see her!

Just read about the "fatso" comment jammy! I get it all the time. My dcs have wonderfully chubby thighs and are generally well fed and wonderful! People ask me things like "How many bottles does he have a day, I bet it's a lot", um no atch he is bfed, babies can be chubby on bmilk y'know. Just let it wash over you. My dd was ever such a chubby baby, but is fine now and really enjoys her food!

MHC, I thought there would be a knack! I've not had it long, so need to work these things out!

annobal · 14/01/2008 19:56

at the fatso comment Jammy. Some people need a good slapping!

at your sis Fairy - I know what it is like to have people all over the world - good thing is you'll always have somewhere to stay in oz (and it means you can come to Adelaide to visit me )

annobal · 14/01/2008 20:04

I made tea cake today - it is yummy - no fat and minimal sugar and v easy to make - I can post the recipe if anyone wants it

HellHathNoFury · 14/01/2008 20:21

you know I am glad I started this line of chat as now I don't feel so bad at buying another pram, some of you lot are waaaayyyy worse than me

FF I totally agree with the juddery/long walk thing - but I can't keep a massive pram on the offchance I go for a long country walk, esp given I drive everywhere and work full time. I WILL (esp come summer) go for some walks but for those odd days I'd rather have a backpack I think!
I will miss my lovely 'boo, it's a dream to push, but no space!

Can you post that recipe Annobal?

Elsbells · 14/01/2008 20:33

wow it has gone pushchair crazy here.

jammy - how very annoying re the chubby comment. It is weird how people feel they have the right to say whatever about a baby. I bet you dc is edible and cute.

My DD is a pudding and I love it.

Hi Fury, FF, MHC, Bumper, Annobel and everyone else.

thisisRialifebaby · 14/01/2008 20:34

ah the joys of a nice crisp apple and a glass of chilled water...

Elsbells · 14/01/2008 20:37

Ria are you dieting?

Seems the world is dieting. I wish I could but I just don't have the willpower. Nevermind. I have about 1/2 a stone left to shift and I tell you - it is DAMN STUBBORN.

FattyFairyFay · 14/01/2008 20:38

Thanks Annobal, that is very true - I hadn't thought of it like that. {FF starts planning a big trip to Oz}

milkyJammy · 14/01/2008 20:38

DH says I should have punched her in the face But I'm just ignoring her, I know my DD is wonderfully cuddly.

Only a P&T in this house, though we have considered getting a lightweight thing that packs small for the car boot. I love the P & T though, although it is rather heavy.

milkyJammy · 14/01/2008 20:43

Very virtuous Ria I've just had a skinny cow ice cream stick thing. Not too bad though, and I had a shed load of veg with dinner.

thisisRialifebaby · 14/01/2008 20:45

I am always dieting

sputnik · 14/01/2008 20:45

You've already lost some though haven't you Elsbells? I lost some then put it back, then added soem more.....

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 14/01/2008 20:46

for you fairy. I wish me and my sister had a more friendly relationship (we are 5 years and worlds apart in terms of values and lifestyle)

You bunch of buggy sluts!

JBM if you are still lurking hope you are ok

Jammy, your poor DD I still haven't forgotten that mean man telling her to cheer up!

thisisRialifebaby · 14/01/2008 20:47

Think I might have to have something "free" to see me through to my pre-breakfast banana

you have to train your LOs to spew on insulting people

Elsbells · 14/01/2008 20:49

I can't bitch too much about my weight as I have lost loads but there is this huge fat tire of at over my hips and belly that makes me look about 3months pregnant. I hate it with a passion.

Sptutnik, the thing is I love my food, wine and sweets. I didn't gain any weight over xmas but I didn't lose any either.....I will just have to learn to breath while sucking my tum in and make it look natural.

milkyJammy · 14/01/2008 20:49

That's my serious looking, fat baby girl for you!

Elsbells · 14/01/2008 20:52

How are you doing Bumper? Are you going stir crazy yet with this weather?

Elsbells · 14/01/2008 20:59

Bye all
my DS is now screaming for me and DH is huffing and puffing as I am not paying attention to him.

I feel like I have 3 children not 2.

Pumpkinhead · 14/01/2008 21:07

Evening all. Can't join in with all this buggy talk as I've only got one big lunky thing and a little Maclaren. Seems fine for now though. Just ordered a cute pair of bablegs for baby Pumpkinhead. It might encourage me to give him a bit more nappy free time - I always seem to forget. Feel like this is the first time I've sat down all day. Now I want some chocolate. Can you post that cake recipe Annobal?

milkyJammy · 14/01/2008 21:17

Night all.
