LOL Fury. Yes, Adelaide has taken the 7 degrees of separation down to 3! Do you think you will get back at some stage?

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 20:10

not sure annobal. Unlikely I think... we can't afford it. The wages are too low (in our industry), the houses too expensive and I would miss the proximity to the rest of the world iyswim.

Also I entered the green card lottery! The US is wanted living destination #1 right now!!

But we'll see. if the US doesn't work out we might look at Adelaide again.

Are you both in IT Fury?

CalicoHollyFlint · 24/01/2008 20:12

What M&P stuff are you selling fury? I just put some Nostalgia curtains on and some wallpaper and a border.

You are all true domestic godesses, I am truly not worthy! I can't even summon up the energy to hoover lately!

Just going to scour upstairs for stuff to ebay whilst it's half price listing day.

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 20:13

yes - although annobal I just mentioned this convo to DH (convo! I am still an aussie lol) and he is now asking his buddies about work!

So not ruling it out!

Lawdy no, I'd never go in for masterchef. I might consider Channel 4's Come Dine With Me, if it wouldn't mean a whole week of missing C's bedtime.

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 20:14

Holly I am selling a Zeddy cushion and cot bumper. I never used them, DS is sooooo not a cot bumper/cushion sort, so might as well get a tenner for them!
I just sold loads, an Aria, some handbags, a camera....loving ebay

Good reminding fury! I have some Zeddy & Rhubarb stuff upstairs I think (as well as a pushchair hun I am also a Mamas & Papas interiors hun)!

annobal · 24/01/2008 20:16

Go on Fury, you know you want to! Will email you later - would love to get your views - DH is IT as well...

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 20:18

ok look forward to it - would be interesting to know where he works. I know a lot of the tech comapnies out there. Also would be good to know what area of IT he is in.
I am a test consultant/QA, DH is a technical architect/development manager

OP posts:
annobal · 24/01/2008 20:20

DH is business analyst / project manager.

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 20:22

ah ok
so we work pretty close then, in fact my job is almost hand in hand with the BA's/PM's.
But in that field there is a lot of work in Adelaide.

DH is firing off some emails now. Our only concern is money really - we know if we move there, no more travelling and we could never afford to move back to the UK.

FairyFay · 24/01/2008 20:42

Hi Andiem, I can probably do next weds. Can I let you know definitely at the beginning of next week though? - I may be going to see a friend who has just had her first baby but it is a very loose arrangement which I think will probably fall through. Sorry to be so faff-y. I used to be super-organised, honestly! I now wonder how I ever managed to get to and do any work at all.

milkyJammy · 24/01/2008 20:43

we went to visit a friend in his basement flat in Ealing and there were floor doorbells.

Flat 1a
Flat 1b
Flat 1c
Flat 1d

Each absolutely tiny! And the ground, 1st and 2nd floors similarly had 4 flats each
