Do you still have his phone number MHC?

milkyJammy · 24/01/2008 16:41

NattyThomasandEllen · 24/01/2008 16:45

sputnik i agree. red cabbage what were u thinking?

milkyJammy · 24/01/2008 16:48

I love red cabbage, haven't had it for ages though

SputnikEnRegalia · 24/01/2008 16:49

It was sat in the greengrocers all shiny and perky looking, I just had to take it home with me!

milkyJammy · 24/01/2008 16:51

good for you sputnik!

SputnikEnRegalia · 24/01/2008 16:56

I'm a sucker for a pretty vegetable

thisisRialifebaby · 24/01/2008 17:14

DH has LOADS of aprons/I have a navy & white striped butchers one that I nicked from him, DS1 has a matching one but it doesn't fit any more. WTF I need an apron for is beyond me (random bleaching activity I think).

I am very very of all this talk of Greece. It's probably the only abroad place apart from NZ I would consider going (I was fascinated by Gerald Durrell as a child). My mum and dad are off to Cyprus next week to meet my sis. I wish I was going but couldn't afford it.

I think you only ever remember really extreme people from holidays, the nice ones who aren't pissed and don't shout etc just kind of blend into the scenery (we live near two Haven sites)

thisisRialifebaby · 24/01/2008 17:18

oops, didn't finish that off properly, there must be millions of people who stay at the sites every season we don't even notice, but there's always the shouty ones. DH has applied for a couple of jobs on the nearest site!

I think we'll have to make do with a couple of breaks at my mums place in the Dales, and having outings with my sister when she comes. I hate flying anyway.

NattyThomasandEllen · 24/01/2008 17:51

i must admit i bought random fruit the other day, stuff i cant even pronounce cos it looks nice.. we had fun working out how to eat it lol

my apron is pretty bleached too Ria, its about all i use it for apart from making purees (that is SO messy, good knows why) and baking cakes!

my spare one is too pretty so i wont use it

i think im one of those blendable holiday makers...

trace2 · 24/01/2008 18:00

hi all i wish i could keep up wi you all lol.

greece i love the place and people too my dh says he would live there.

we have had chloe 7 months check today, got few books a cup tooth paste and brush, chloe now on soya milk all the bugs we thought she as wi diahrea was not it was lactoce intollance and shes been referded to a dietation, but hv said today if she hadnt been refered she would do have today as from today as she only weighs 13lb well under scales for her age, but we found since shes been on soya her skins better too. she said shes behind wi her moverments but we know that anyway.

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 24/01/2008 18:05

maybe we could organise a group holiday to greece we all seem to like it

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 18:06

MHC sorry for the delay I have been commuting (ugh)

Thanks sooooooo much for your review - depending on the cost I think we shall go.

And yes I have vertigo, it's sodding awful. Take some sturgeron tablets, they will sort it out.

milkyJammy · 24/01/2008 18:09

Trace - hope the soya milk helps Chloe and you get good news on the 11th

milkyJammy · 24/01/2008 18:11

We're probably going to France this year. We don't want to fly until C is older (and I don't want to fly for a few years anyway for environmental reasons) but will probably take car on ferry over to France, or maybe Belgium or Holland

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 18:13

Clearly I am not environmentally friendly as I drive a 4x4 and fly lots. And DS flies too. But I recycle! And I have a compost heap. And I turn my dial to 30. Does that count?

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 24/01/2008 18:20

So this afternoon I made lunch (tuna and noodles which DD loved), made bread (in my breadmaker), sweet potato and leek soup and blueberry muffins and did all the associate washing up and when I said this to DS he said "your choice"

SputnikEnRegalia · 24/01/2008 18:24

Easy-jet allow you to offset the carbon emissions from your flight Flying with lo's is ok if you're prepared to spend most of the flight entertaining them.

Good news about Chloe Trace, hopefully her weight will get better now they've picked that up. My DS isn't a great mover either btw, he still doesn't roll over.

milkyJammy · 24/01/2008 18:29

Sorry Bumper. So is it going to be your choice who gets to eat the yummy bread, soup and muffins?

milkyJammy · 24/01/2008 18:33

I'm a bit sceptical about carbon offsetting I'm afraid. But I don't want to preach or tell others what to do

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 24/01/2008 18:36

bumper you should change your name to bumper is one hot cooking mamma

annobal · 24/01/2008 19:08

In a past life I went cruising around the Greek isles and thought it was amazing (limnos, lesbos, ithaca, santorini etc etc. It was lovely and I have been having lovely daydreams, so thank you for bringing back those lovely memories on a freezing cold day

PS it was the sort of cruise where you learn all about the places you visit, not a boozy cruise, although there was loads of that too. and I was working so of course it wasn't fun

NattyThomasandEllen · 24/01/2008 19:09

Trace2 tom had LI, we had to cut out alot of his foodsnot just dairy, there are lots of names for lactose as ur dietican will explain. tom was also quite under weight, but he is now on the 25th percentile, so doing well. try not to worry, its can be a difficult thing to manage but the best thing is babies usually grow out of it.

Ellen has had half a jar, some broccoli cauliflower and carrot she fed herself, a yoghart and half a bannana she smooshed and sort of ate.
do you think this is balanced enough? she is getting hard to feed as she wants to self fed and wont let me feed her anymore

annobal · 24/01/2008 19:09

Anyone into the mn bookclub stuff? I've just finished the book for this month - if anyone wants to read it, let me know and i'll post it on (I really need to start shedding possessions so PLEASE take it off me!)

NattyThomasandEllen · 24/01/2008 19:12

annobal i would love to read it!
