YAY - send me your address on email, Natty (do you have my email? - it's my mn name @mac.com)

DH has just made a really delicious stir fry.

foxythesnowman · 24/01/2008 19:27

That sounds blardy brilliant Natty. My LO has just discovered pursing her lips so I cannot get the spoon in. But its a different story when it comes to yogurt. Must admit I completely forgot to give her finger food tonight.

Was that Agent Zigzag Annobal? I would like to join this months book club, but given the book isn't out in paperback until the day after the thread, I will miss it!

Let me know if you need a hand with anything (like forms for passports)

foxythesnowman · 24/01/2008 19:30

Oh, and thats a bit crappy of DH Bumper. Its all very well being a domestic goddess, but it needs to be seen and appreciated! Ban him from eating any of it.

I made banana muffins for the school cake stall. I am quite sure they will be the last thing left as they are not topped with blue icing and dolly mixtures, but a healthy coating of oatmeal.

I will be an Alpha Mommy. I will, I will, I WILL.

annobal · 24/01/2008 19:34

Foxy, Agent Zigzag was last month - t'was quite good. This month it's The Giles Wareing Hater's Club - I bought it in hardback. Let me know if you want Agent Zig Zag and I'll send it on...

Funny, was about to text you re forms - I asked at Aust. House last week and they will also accept a UK dr so got a friend to sign. Thought that would be easier all round. Thanks

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 19:39

Am going to whisk myself off to the Royal Academy on Thurs or Fri next week for the 'From Russia' exhibition. Anyone else want to join me (and DS3, who of course is fully conversant on the pre-revolutionary Franco-Russian exchange and its influence on world art)?

CalicoHollyFlint · 24/01/2008 19:44

Yawn, I'm ebaying, 'tis dullsville!

annobal · 24/01/2008 19:48

What you ebaying Holly? I have a load more things to list and just can't be bothered at the moment.

milkyJammy · 24/01/2008 19:50

I'm trying to summon up the will to go cook some rice and reheat the leftover chilli from last night. Oh, and get the rubbish and recycling out of the utility room for DH to take outside (I have no shoes on, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it)

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 19:51

yeah holly
I am ebaying to, M&P stuff, we might be fighting for the same bidders ;-)

Hello ladies. I must admit to having a similar reaction to Andiem's to MHC's boozing while leaving your children in kids clubs comment. I do appreciate that it wasn't meant to offend, but i would say that for us, it;s not really a holiday unless we get some kid-free time to unwind, as well as spending some time with them as well. And it's not as if they are locked in a cupboard!, DD loves the kids clubs.

I'm very impressed at the alpha mummies and domestic/baking goddesses on here today. Not nearly such a productive day for us. DD seems a bit better but still not great. She's been very short tempered and taking it out on DS, by pushing him. I'm finding it very hard not to blow my top at her. I have done my best to make it crystal clear that I won't tolerate it but it is hard.

FairyFay · 24/01/2008 19:54

I've given up on ebaying for the moment as the faff of packing things up and multiple trips to the post office was doing my head in. I am, however, registered for an NCT sale this weekend - the way I'm going, the DCs will be lucky if they have any clothes or equipment left by the weekend . I desperately want to de-clutter as I feel as if I'm drowning in stuff.

milkyJammy · 24/01/2008 19:56

I read 5 books to C, helped her put the shapes into the shape sorter, praised her efforts to move about, and sat and watched In The Night Garden with her. I also made bread (in the breadmaker). Does that put me into AM/DG territory?

annobal · 24/01/2008 19:57

Fairy, that's very trying - hope she wakes better tomorrow. You're very good at not blowing your top - I'm finding it very hard to keep my temper at the moment .

DS1 refused to go to nursery this morning (1st time ever) so I brought him home and he went to bed at 5.30. He did that last night too - he'll probably wake an inch taller...

FairyFay · 24/01/2008 19:57

definitely!

annobal · 24/01/2008 19:59

Absolutely Jammy!

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 19:59

bloody hell you are super mums you lot

I sat DS in his chair with some grapes while I cook dinner - ready made pasta with sauce a la dolmio light - then he started having a hissy fit cos he was over tired and teething so I didn't bother to bath him, just put him to bed.

I am a bad mother lol

Hoorah! [shines halo emoticon]

Right, better go cook that rice. And peas. They're sure to please, you know.

milkyJammy · 24/01/2008 20:01

I didn't bother to bath C Fury, even though it was meant to be bath night. But DH was late home and I couldn't be bothered to do it on my own [slipping halo emoticon]

annobal · 24/01/2008 20:02

No Fury, you are concerned about drying his skin out

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 20:04

I do think you are ever such the domestic goddesses. I am a fairly good cook (ahem, not too modest though clearly) but I can't bake for shit. I am very good at the packet mixes though...when I read the instructions that is.

I also just can't be arsed most of the time, I am too knackered!

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 20:05

lol annobal!

I am sad I am not going back to Adelaide now as we could have met up, knowing how small it is our DS's might have even gone to the same school lol!

foxythesnowman · 24/01/2008 20:05

Pah! You Beta Mommy Fury!

I am such a long way from being an Alpha Mommy. You should see them around here. They'd never do the school run in their pj's! (Afternoon one, that is!)

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 20:06

All you aspiring chefs, have you thought about entering masterchef (Jammy, Bumper et al..?)

OP posts:
HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 20:07
