evening - I am yet again bored - bored of looking after kids, bored of preparing/cooking food, even bored of cleaning

I cooked roast dinner for all of us but dh and I were meant to eat our together at 7 when e and h in bed but no the little cow darling aka hattie refused to settle and screamed for 45 minutes so mine was cold, have cut it up for her dinner tomorrow and had a chicken sandwich instead [grrr] oh god its just been one of those days I cant wait to go to work tomorrow

Why am I in the slightly-past-prime of my life sat on my own, listening to ds1 not sleeping again and watching fecking snooker, whinging on line to people I've never met and hoping someone will make a move on the multiple games of scrabulous I have going?

I'd get sloshed to forget how sad my life is, but possibly not the best idea when in sole charge of 2 children!! And besides, I'm so past it now, I'd just spend tomorrow suffering - headache, tired, heartburn - ooh, that's prob just how dragon's feeling right now

UD - anything we can do? Virtual chocolate - or is it too bad even for that?

eandh · 17/01/2008 19:56

oh 2happy we are obviously in the same boat ((hugs)) oh feck hattie has woken up again

Oh no. I hope she settles quickly... and she doesn't wake E!

theUrbanDryad · 17/01/2008 20:17

right there with ya 2H and EAH.

bugger this.

vinorouge · 17/01/2008 20:19

Lizz I thought of you alongside krispy kremes because you raved on about them back in the summer. (I remember everything!)

Not feeling great today. Sick and stomach pains. Knackered so should be getting into bed really but am on here instead.

2happy · 17/01/2008 20:21

Trying to be constructive with my boredom new thread
Is Z asleep, UD, or is he in the baby insomniacs club too?

eandh · 17/01/2008 20:23

well shes asleep because i went up there laid her back down and ignored her (Ellie is geting fairly good at sleeping thru Hattie crying, it seems to happen alot lately) I can guarantee she'll be crying by 5.30 and refuse to go back to sleep that one will wake ellie who will be in a strop all day cause she is tired.

Stupid child wont have long enough nap in the aternoon so wakes up around 2 (after 45-0mins) is grumpy, and then tired at dinner time and overtired by bedtime ......................aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh feckin kids drive me up the feckin wall I cant wait till they are old enough to sort themselves out in the morning

UD - you ok, is it the house move thats making you a bit down?

Hmmmm shitty days all round then. I had a bit of a mini meltdown round lunchtime when F wouldn't sleep and had to call my mum to come and rescue me! It was all fine by the afternoon and I bought a new hoody (yep, hoody) in the French Connection sale, so feeling more cheerful this evening. But round 3pm when F was being awful and refusing to sleep AT ALL but also refusing to let me get on with anything else in the house i felt a lot like you just said eah -"bored of looking after kids, bored of preparing/cooking food, even bored of cleaning" !!!!!

I always feel kind of stupid after an "episode" like this afternoon though because there really wasn't anything wrong, I was just feeling fed up and tired and hungry and couldn't get anything done and so just started crying and refusing to do anything I know it's silly looking back, but at the time it just seems so impossible to cope for even another second.

Ok, enough of my complaining....

I couldn't bear to watching the JO thing with the killing of the chicks. It just looked too awful. And I like chicken

Just seen there's a program on on 5 at 9 called "how to make your child brilliant". Hmmmm.... might be worth a look?

eandh · 17/01/2008 20:33

oh shimmer I know exactly what you mean come over onto new thread!!

PS I am coming your way on the 29th sil and I are taking kids to london aquarium for nephews bday (ellie and hattie and the tube = grey hair for me)
