I'm bored too. Might go and have a bath. My lady garden is in desperate need of a good mow!

theUrbanDryad · 16/01/2008 20:54

i'm eating curry -LTH is to blame!

sooo excited about Torchwood!

Shimmer · 16/01/2008 20:58

Is he asleep yet Lizz????

Can't believe that tax screw-up MrsC
I have never understood how they work out how much you get paid... so i'd really have no idea if i was being overpaid or not

Freddie's first visit at nursery went well. We're going back on Friday when I leave him for a couple of hours. Yikes.

I've only just got home from work and am going to finish my wine and have some pasta now and then staright to bed!

canofworms · 16/01/2008 20:59

changed my name! I've no imagination and after reading another thread that said you shouldn't have "mum" in the name thought I'd do something about it.

What do you think? Or any other ideas?

vinorouge · 16/01/2008 21:40

Lizz - I had my first ever krispy kreme doughnut last night and thought of you! Just had an original glazed to see what they were like. might try a different one next time cos it was yummy but a bit of a rip off at 95p for one I thought.

Today DH had to sign an accident form at nursery cos E had bumped her own head. She has started lying on the floor banging her head face down when she is tired/stroppy and the accident form said 'Ellen was having a paddy' which amused DH.

Fingers crossed we are moving next Friday. I'll believe it when it happens especially cos we aren't exchanging until Tuesday.

wilkie - love the party pics and J on his trampoline.

MrsC - what a crappy letter to receive about tax credits.

UD - god luck on finding a job. Am sure Zac will like nursery if he goes.

OMG that is about 10minutes away from me Eddas (my rl best mate) works in Cranbrook, tis very lovely but very expensive village!!

Lizzzombie · 17/01/2008 08:58

Vino - what do you mean you were thinking of me when you were eating your krispy kreme?! Do you think I look like Homer Simpson?! Or that I am round with a hole in the middle?! I've not had one of those for ages. There is a drive thru near my sisters and I picked up 2 dozen on the way to hers the day before her wedding

Wilkie - DJ bangs his head on purpose on anything. The wall, the cot, the floor. I know a few other babies who do it too, so am not too worried that he is turning into a romanian orphan baby. I think its something to do with teething pain and transference of it or something...

It took just over 2 hours of screaming and a bottle at 7.15 and another bottle at 9.30pm, then he rolled over and went to sleep. Why do I not just try the bottle first without putting up with the screaming? I think I am worried about him getting used to having a bottle late at night or something. Oh I don't know.
Am out tonight, so DP will have to deal with it.

Shimmer - glad the nursery visit went well. Best of luck for tomorrow!

Lizzzombie · 17/01/2008 08:59

BTW - Wilkie - that trampoline is the same one which is lying in pieces on my bedroom floor. I refuse to be flummoxed by it, but please tell me on a scale of 1 to 10, was it hard to put together?!

bunnyhunny · 17/01/2008 09:42

hi people
havent got time to do personals, but hope you are all ok, and all the lo's birthdays have been going well.

I can't believe s is nearly 1 - I keep thinking of this time last year and remembering sitting on a big ball playing games while getting huge braxton hicks, the sleepless nights (little did I know they would get worse), the anticipation and fear at the same time. It's amazing to think how far we have all come!

Lizz - s has the same trampoline. I struggled getting those metal bits in the sides for ages, then dh came along and did it in minutes. So that must be the solution - get someone else to do it

Got to go, I have to call the dietician as S had a really bad reaction to an egg sandwich. Not sure where to go from here, as there are so many things we have to avoid it's getting a bit overwhelming.

Wilkie · 17/01/2008 09:42

My mum did it

Lizzzombie · 17/01/2008 09:53

I forgot we were pushing on the same day Bunny! What time was S born?
DJ was born about 8pm ish and I had no sleep for 2 days, and had been having contractions for 2 days. (oh, and not eaten either!)
Never again!!!

wilkie - can your mum or bunnyhunnys DP do mine too?!

bunnyhunny · 17/01/2008 10:07

Lizz - S was born at 22.22 (he is obviously a budding ocd'er too).

I was having contractions for 2 days too - it was horrible wasn't it .

I can also remember packing my bag with lots of snacks and fruit juice in case I wanted it during labour. pmsl. They did come in handy for the 3 days in hospital afterwards though!

what day were you due lizz? I was 1 day over.

JodieG1 · 17/01/2008 11:36

UD - book arrived thank you, lol at to the sleepless MNer of the house I will start reading that today.

Vino - krispy kreme's are amazing, I love them!

pcf - hope funeral goes ok

wilkie - Ethan bangs his head on the floor when annoyed also.

liz - 2 hours, hope it's better tonight but at least dp will be doing it instead

shimmer -hope nursery goes well

2happy · 17/01/2008 14:25

UD - are you ok? (saw your facebook update)
Jodie - hope the book helps.
Canofworms - liking the new name!!
Lal - any updates about your Dad?
Curry tonight - you're all to blame

Lizzzombie · 17/01/2008 15:03

I am Skill McGill (& showing my age for anyone who knows what I am talking about!)

I have put together the baby trampoline!
"oh yeah - get me!"

Question to Wilkie & Bunny Hunny though:
The 'skirt' of th trampoline doesn't as flush as it should. I think its just because its cheaply made, do your velcro bits do up ok in the front? One of mine does but the other one is a bit wonky looking for some reason.

Only injury incurred during construction was a love-bite style pinch on my middle finger which got caught inbetween the metal bars. But I can still use it to type!

Lizzzombie · 17/01/2008 15:05

doh - am mental:

Skirt of ours doesn't sit flush either but Velcro does do up. HTH!

Reggiee · 17/01/2008 19:14

Fook me!! Were you all bored last night?

Wilkie · 17/01/2008 19:14

Yup - just gonna watch that Jamie Oliver program from last night that everyone is raving about!!!

Reggiee · 17/01/2008 19:16

Hello btw.

Just consuming some wine. It is "Friday" after all (ok, so not at work tomorrow and lo in bed so it almost counts).

Reggiee · 17/01/2008 19:19

Did anyone see the Jamie prog from last Fri. Was gutted when they gassed the sweet yellow fluffy male chicks/. Sob.

2happy · 17/01/2008 19:43

BORED!! dh out for the third time this week, and there's sod all on tv.

I watched a bit of the prog, RGee, but have heard much worse from dh, and as a consequence have never bought meat from a supermarket for years and years. I do wish he'd learn he difference between organic and free range - they're not interchangeable terms!!
