..and I've left the washing on the line....and its dark and cold outside now...and beginning to rain.

PANTS

I don't want to play this game anymore.

JodieG1 · 16/01/2008 17:55

UD - thanks so much, I will let you know when I receive it. I've recently been thinking about working too, maybe
part-time but need to think about childcare as with 3 I'm not sure it would be worth it. Nursery does look nice,
hope you like it when you visit.

Liz - Ethan has missed dinner before a couple of time due to falling asleep, we just put him to bed and noticed
no difference in sleeping, not that he sleeps well lol. He fell asleep in his highchair on his birthday, poor
thing was exhausted.

JodieG1 · 16/01/2008 17:56

Run out and get the washing in quickly,
assume it's just in the garden?

eandh · 16/01/2008 17:56

whoops hadnt read lth post - similar idea though

No they dont become easier they become harder because they

learn to talk (and dont shut up)

they also master the word 'no' and shout it

they clamp their mouths shut at meal times unless they feel like eatig

they learn to run (normally in the opposite direction to where you want to go)

they learn either to a) climb out of cot b) get put of bed and wake you up

at some point potty training has to be done and you learn best ways to absorb/clean wee of things

they hate their buggies and you have a full blown body wrestle to get them in

They start not needing naps (well ellie dropped all her naps just before she was 2 as she wouldnt settle at night)

apart from that its a doddle

Mrs C I did have to send copies of wage slips and bank statemtents to show what we paid out vs paid in and although we do have a decent amount of spare cash each month I was advised that I could repay by suspending my normal payments

I swear - I am NEVER doing thus (child baby thing) again!

Jodie - What happend about you starting up your own business?

Tip of the day: Don't wash all your towels on the same day. Especially when its not the middle of the summer, so they don't dry (haven't yet got a tumble dryer sorted).

Tip 2 : don't buy cheap pegs which break after using them once. I am off to Lakeland tomorrow to buy the most expensive ones I can find.

eandh · 16/01/2008 18:06

but Lizz with 2nd babies you are so much relaxed, they on the whole are alot more contented and you have a ready built playmate (ie dylan) when you want to mn oh and think of all those lovely little newborn cuddles you used to have

OP posts:
Lizzzombie · 16/01/2008 18:14

Maybe I could get one of those freaky reborn dolls and stuff a hot water bottle down it?

JodieG1 · 16/01/2008 18:20

Liz - plans on hold for the time being given the current monetary climate. Still hoping to do it at some point though! Need to find some premises yet as well.

Lizzzombie · 16/01/2008 18:23

Would this kind of job be of any interest to you here

good money
flexible hours
a bit different to the norm

A mate of mine does it and I have applied too. There are vacancies all over the country for various sectors and also, you can get a qualification yourself whilst you are doing it.

Lizzzombie · 16/01/2008 18:25

Ok, has been well over 45 mins.
Bath is ready
Milk is ready...I am going in for the baby waking up manoevre!

eandh · 16/01/2008 18:38

is that screaming I can hear all the way from Eastbourne??????????????????????????????????

OP posts:
Wilkie · 16/01/2008 18:48

We are having fish and chips again for tea. Naughty Wilkie and DH!!!

Lizz - was gonna offer my advice (same as LTH & EAH) but you are obv in the middle of. Hope it goes well.

Day 2 of DH putting J down - he went down without a peep and no Calpol. Maybe it's the duvet??

ladytophamhatt · 16/01/2008 18:57

LOL

DS4 has his first birthday and his 1st curry for dinner.

What a bloke

No sure I'll let him have a beer to go with the curry though

theUrbanDryad · 16/01/2008 19:05

Z has worn himself out at IL's today, MIL was encouraging him to walk, crazy lady! i've given him a big bowl of porridge for tea and some medised. as i think his molars are coming through. anyway, he's gone down without a peep, so we'll see how it goes...

theUrbanDryad · 16/01/2008 19:06

meant to say - what sort of curry was it? not a vindaloo i hope!

mmm curry, i really fancy a curry now...

ladytophamhatt · 16/01/2008 19:09

Just a korma....I had to fight off the big dsses trying to feed him poppadums with it

eandh · 16/01/2008 19:13

both of mine were in bed by 6.20pm and snoring

OP posts:
Lizzzombie · 16/01/2008 19:31

lol - LTH - little shits? what your other DSs or what DS4 does after a korma?!

Well, DJ is up and totally awake now. Still didnt want his tea but downed a bottle. Now is climbing into his toy box. Great. He won't be sleepy for ages, I can feel it in my bones!

2happy · 16/01/2008 19:34

Happy birthday G. ds1 and 2 both love curry, though I suspect in ds1's case it's just his way of getting naan bread (carbohydrate addict).

Jodie - we tried gradual withdrawal with ds1 during the big boy's bed saga, it didn't work so well but I think that's because he's older and it just stirred him up more knowing we were in the room. I think it's a good strategy for younger ones.

Mrs C that is awful!! How can they justify that? £500 a month!!Tax office screwed up last year for me - had a huge tax bill, found it really hard to pay, nearly had to beg off my parents, and guess what? Oh yeah, this year they think they owe me a rebate - don't suppose they're going to repay the interest though

Lizz - hope lo woke up in a better fettle. Wine def a good idea. I am on the right side of a G&T and dh has just handed me a bottle of wine to open

Bloody busy day at work today, and I'm knackered - dh took ds2 last night, but I still couldn't sleep. (scuse lanuguage) fucking insomnia. So glad I have a day off tomorrow, but will probably be tired and grumpy with kids .

2happy · 16/01/2008 19:38

ps Lizz - when does it get easier?? Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! Good grief. When they're 21?? Mind, ds1 had his first tantrum before he was 1, and shortly after gave himself carpet burns on his forehead from tantrumming with such force. So actually I guess he is better, really!

Wilkie · 16/01/2008 19:46

J has decided that headbanging in his cot is fun - WTF is that about?!?!?!

Happy Birthday George!!

eandh · 16/01/2008 19:47
