2 Happy - hmm, that is sounding good. I want half the amount of hormone. Is the mini pill just as effective as a contraceptive? Whats the catch?

eandh · 14/01/2008 20:14

ellie is going to be like dh good height, slim and fit

hattie well shes going to be like me .... short, slightly dumpy and anything for an easy life

No, it's not as effective as the normal pill, which is the catch (but as I'm bfeeding, I figure that helps...kinda). The one I'm on though, cerazette, is more effective than other mini-pills, and it doesn't matter as much if you're late (other mini-pills are really strict about timing, which would be hopeless for me - I've already missed 3 pills this month alone ). But I saw a thread on MN just recently from someone warning about side effects from cerazette - she said it made her really depressed. That's why I think it's a good idea to try lots until you find one that suits.

RGee · 14/01/2008 20:20

No buns in the oven Lizz. PMSL. They are out and cooling
2H - catch....warm buns yummy!

Yeah, the big boobs is always my excuse for not running too. My sports bra does a pretty good job of holding the baby G's down, but not good enough.....

RGee · 14/01/2008 20:21

2H - we are prob going on holiday to Northumberland this summer, and want to book a cottage. Any recommendations of good places?

MrsCarrot · 14/01/2008 20:25

How funny - I just started running this evening and my g cups behaved fairly well. It was quite good actually, my legs still feel a bit wobbly.

Rgee - do you think you might change your name to reggie?

2happy · 14/01/2008 20:29

Yum, thanks RGee!!

I think it's expensive (haven't actually looked at the prices) but these are just down from where we rented before we bought this house. It's a beautiful area - well all this bit is, no matter where you are you're near hills and sea. If you're thinking of this bit of Northumberland a) I'll think of other suggestions b) I'll let you know lots of places to visit c) I'll give you lunch one day (not obligatory, by the way!!)

Lizzzombie · 14/01/2008 20:31

Oh oh oh - did I say....Got a new bra recently...and have gone down a cup size! took flipping long enough, but am a GG now instead of an H sooooooooooooooo happy!

2happy · 14/01/2008 20:31

Ouch just looked at the prices

Lizzzombie · 14/01/2008 20:33

We went on holiday every year to Northumberland (My Dad is obsessed by the place & even plays the Northumbrian Small Pipes!) there are some gorgeous places on the coast. Really lovely. Will look up and let you know my favourite ever place in the whole world...hang on...

Reggiee · 14/01/2008 20:37

Thanks for that 2H. Similar prices to other cottages I've seen. Needless to say, we will be going OUT of school hols - poss June.

MrsC reggie was taken so don't know if I'm cheeky being this. I've never seen the real Reggie about though, and I don't normally post elsewhere so I should get away with it.

Lizz am still confused why there are no double E's (EE). And what's this about Playtex doing half cup sizes now? [asking bra questions when should be comparing Mothercare tales. Did I tell you I worked there for 7 years? Should I tell you the story of when we found shit in the changing rooms hidden underneath a plastic bag? Or when a lady came in off the streets to use the toilet and was so poorly there was shit on the ceiling....ahh...those were the days...]

Lizzzombie · 14/01/2008 20:38

here
Low Newton by the sea was my favourite place to go when we were little.
Its got a great little pub, wonderful beach, fantastic sand dunes, rock pools, and a ruined castle.

In fact its my favourite place in the whole world and I would move there tomorrow.

eandh · 14/01/2008 20:40

on the ceiling????????????????//

Fucky fuck fuck - also forgot to mention that me and my BF got a bonus for running the Christmas Drive at work today! £250per person to spend on a mini-break/spa/holiday of our choice. Whoooooooooooooo!

Lizzzombie · 14/01/2008 20:42

Shit on the ceiling????? wtf was she doing?!
I served a (very scary) woman on Saturday who was potty training her toddlers. They seemed very close in age so I asked if they were twins. But no, they were 11 months apart!!!!!!!!!!! I nearly spluttered into her face! "2 months!!! What were you thinking having sex 2 months after giving birth!!!??" But I restrained myself.

Also, was serving a couple for ages who had the cutest little 4 month old DD. The Dad passed her over for me to hold. OMG! I nearly melted, she was like a RL cabbage patch kid. Sooooo adorable. It made me rather broody and I had to hand her back immediately.
The 17 year olds I work with think I am mental. Every baby which comes in, I am there, looking into the pram coo-ing over them like a mental woman!

2happy · 14/01/2008 20:44

Yes that stretch of coastline is really beautiful, Lizz - I was in Beadnell just after Christmas. Can totally recommend the Bamburgh/Seahouses stretch of coastline, though it does get a bit busy in summer (well, this is relative, nothing's ever that busy up here).

Lizzzombie · 14/01/2008 20:44

Wilkie -

ladytophamhatt · 14/01/2008 20:45

Right...ok.

So its Dh's Birthday tomorrow(yes ds4 was born 4hrs and 22 mins after his daddys B'day ended) and I thought it would be a good idea for the boys to make a cards each, yes even ds4.

Someone...anyone....don't care who...might have told me that 4 boys in one kitchen with 12 pots of poster paint would end in disaster.

I am exhausted.

Ds4s did 3 handprints with random splodges and squigles incase you wondered....

eandh · 14/01/2008 20:45

wilkie thats great well done

lizz - i would NOT get any work done if I worked in baby shop

rgee- please expand on your story or e'll throw your buns back at you

lth - I dont do painting with 1 child let alone 4 (brave brave lady I have told Ellie that I gave all the paint to preschool so she creates her masterpieces there!!!!!!!)

OP posts:
2happy · 14/01/2008 20:50

Wilkie and Mr Wilkie - congrats!
LTH - humph, I keep trying to get ds1 into painting and he remains resolutely disinterested. I've paper mache'd a field for his tractors, created a John Deere from cardboard box and paper plates, and made a space rocket and planet from a ball and bottle with tin foil and stickers. What does ds1 do? Wreck em. Hand prints would be nice. (4 boys + paints trashing kitchen...less nice )

2happy · 14/01/2008 20:52

Ha Ha you could stay right by my ILs here

theUrbanDryad · 14/01/2008 20:54

i think this LTH is an imposter. she's lost the capital letters in her name...
