J is currently flinging himself around the room in a REALLY dramatic way and whining and crying cos he is refusing a nap. He is driving me slightly mental. No cuteness here today

laughalot · 11/01/2008 14:23

Wilkie snap

Lizzzombie · 11/01/2008 14:38

DJ is being a BOY today.
We have lots of shouting, and banging. He is ignoring all his toys in favour of banging the laundry basket. Its doing my head in.

But, the bargain trike arrived today! So I am very ! (small box though)

bunnyhunny · 11/01/2008 14:43

LTH - that is soooo lovely!!

A BED?!?!?! I cannot imagine the 'fun' that would prevail if we put S in a bed! I am considering getting a lid for his cot..

hmm, S didnt only had a nap for 1/2 hr this morning, then went down for his afternoon nap at 12.15!! He got up at 1.45, so how on earth are we going to make it through til 7

I think I cursed it by saying how good he is! And to top it all I feel knackered and just want to go to bed, and am feeling sad too I could go round for someone, but I really cannot be doing with it today, just want to curl up on my own somewhere

Lizzzombie · 11/01/2008 14:55

Oh BH - poor you.
You do sound down. Are you sure a trip outside wouldn't perk you up a bit? Even if its just round the block?

I just went down to the sea front to blow the cobwebs away...they are well and truly blown away now!

Lth - am off to see Cath now. I need a dose of girlyness to keep me sane. I have no idea how you manage 4 boys! I am taking my virtual hat off to you! x

bunnyhunny · 11/01/2008 15:06

Lizz - this is when I miss th coast. There is nowhere good to walk around here..

eandh · 11/01/2008 15:17

Well the bed was .................... a sucess she stirred around 9.30 but when I went in she had bright red cheeks and chewing on her muslin (has to have a muslin to go to sleep ) gave her some calpol and stroked her head for a bit and she nodded off around 9.45 (it was so much easier sitting next to the bed rather than leaning over the cot.

We overlaid this morning as both girls slept in so I woke up and I had to leave in 20mins to get to Mil so got showered dried hair and then put all there clothes in a carrier bag (thankfully had got them out last night) quickly warmed some milk up for Hattie (when I went in her room she was awake and just laying in her bed looking a bit 'where am i' look, she drank milk, quick nappy change and then in the car. I have never ever taken them to my mums/mil in pj's so they couldnt work out what was going on (and Ellie was in a foul mood because I had woken her up)

It has made me feel all unorganised for the day and I have loads and loads of work to do and can't access my work email/excel/word and someone is using my office for interviews so thought I'd coem on here. My work laptop arrives next week and there is talk of me working from home one day a week (I dont really need to be here if I can access work stuff through laptop) girls would still go to either my mum/mil but would mean less rushing in the morning and also I could swap my hours around to suit me

LTH - that sounds so cute
Lizz - surprised you didnt get blown away with the wind this morning
Bunny - no parks you could have a stroll to
wilkie/lal - did lo's give in and nap in the end?

Arghhh! Have just been to a local cafe for a cuppa with a friend, and for some reason I now smell of chips. Had to walk past the fish n chip shop and I think its lingered on me. Not sure how as I didnt hang outside it deep breathing or anything.

Now I totally cannot be bothered to make dinner at all and am yearning...yes - YEARNING for fish n chips!
Nothing else will do at all.
If I wasnt sat here typing about how much I want them right now, i would be lying on the floor kicking my legs and screaming that I wanted them now, now, now!!!

(and I wonder why I am a size 16!)

ladytophamhatt · 11/01/2008 16:25

Lizzz, prob too late now but say Hi to Cath for me. tell her I'm sorry I missed her threads about her and her dh.

When the boys are all vomit free you can both come over fr a cuppa if you like.

eandh · 11/01/2008 16:40

LIzz - I had chip shop chips for my lunch today, wrapped in a paper cone with vinegar mmmmmm they were yummmmy!!!

theUrbanDryad · 11/01/2008 18:00

hi everyone!! i'm baaaaa-ack!!

the new house is titchy tiny and very cluttered at the mo, there's a billion and one things that Z can hurt himself on, especially now he's walking. we had another first yesterday - he fell down the stairs! our stair gates don't fit on the new stairs so i took them off and threw them in the garden in a fit of pique, and Z has been happily going up and down the stairs on his own for a couple of days, but then yesterday i just heard bump bump bump WAAAAAA!! he's fine though, a bit shaken up, but he's a lot more careful on the stairs now than he use to be!

does anyone else feel like they're bringing up Danger Baby? Zac climbs on the sofas and then hurls himself over the back. apart from anything else, this now means that nothing - and i mean nothing - is out of his reach now. it's only a matter of time before he scalds himself on a cup of tea. i'm seriously thinking about hanging everything from the ceiling, it's the only way he wouldn't be able to reach it!! arrrgh!

sorry, no time to catch up on everyone's posts (you've been very busy) but hope everyone's LO's had good 1st birthdays, and i'll try to catch up properly later. xxx

Wilkie · 11/01/2008 18:03

We've missed yooouuuuuu!!!

I too have danger baby!

Flinging himself off sofa - CHECK
Climbing onto the TV cabinet - CHECK
Hanging off the stairgate - CHECK
Climbs out of bath - CHECK
Reaches for my hot tea - CHECK
....the list goes on

theUrbanDryad · 11/01/2008 18:04

he hasn't climbed out of the bath yet. i'm sure it's only a matter of time. oooh i've got the fun fun task of catching up on my 30 emails after bathtime!

theUrbanDryad · 11/01/2008 18:11

Jodie - just seen your post about about sleep. Z still wakes up 2-3 times in the night. he was doing really well with No Cry Sleep Solution, but then we moved and i think it's unsettled him. when we get the other bedroom sorted we'll start putting him in there i think - and straight into a bed as well, no faffing about with a cot, i can't be arsed.

EAH - your pics are sooooo cute!

ladytophamhatt · 11/01/2008 18:18

only 30 UD...pah! I had 89 when we moved.

tis good to have you back missus.

BTW DS1 was one of those danger babies. Climbed on/in/through anything....appaerntly its a sign of intelligence.

Lizzzombie · 11/01/2008 18:26

climbing out of the bath??? wtf? I can hardly manage that these days!

Lizzzombie · 11/01/2008 18:47

me again!
DP is getting fish n chips on the way home from work!
yay!

oink
oink
trough trough!

bunnyhunny · 11/01/2008 19:52

hey ud! we missed you!

dunno about danger baby, but I do have bizarred sense of humour baby - like tipping water over his head and he laughs, he sits and falls over backwards and he laughs, I (lazy mum) try to change his bum while he is standing up and he laughs.

eah - the pics of h in bed are just too cute! she is so tiny to be in a bed!!

eandh · 11/01/2008 20:18

((((((((((((((UD!!)))))))))))))))))))) Welcome back I wa thinking about Zac last saturday, do you want me to come round and unpack and organise everything for you????

Beds are great she went down fine tonight and is all snuggled up in her duvet.

Happy Birthday to Ethan today, hope you are feeling a bit better today Jodie
